Seamus Passeri |
Yes, Winter did guide you, but you missed the creature even with Guidance.
I did answer your question.
Sorry, I missed the answer, I was trying to get caught up on the reading....
I did think for an experiment sometime, yes, Seamus...on the reverse of this.
*gives Seamus a pointed look*
Ummm, so what did I say that brought that on?

![]() |

For clarification: the Bloodragers will be good for self-buffing, and DPS.
The Paladins will be good for healing, status removal, and some damage.
Both can (theoretically) be reasonable 'faces'.
;-)

GM Mort |

Some other time. After this whole AP probably.
Don't feel confident about running 2 PBPs at once even if I should(technically) be able to pull it off.

Seamus Passeri |
And you could have always rolled an alchemist, Mr Hyde style ;)
Yeah, I didn't say I wasn't complaining, I was complaining about not playing a character class that I prefer.
I looked at alchemist, even ran a couple of ideas past you, just none of the ideas were acceptable to you and I specifically said I didn't wnat to play a 'Dr. Jeckle/Mr. Hyde' character
I will try to stop complaining about it...
Get some rest and feel better!
I'm off Sat and Sun. so I will be posting my regular hours, I will be able to check the boards in the mornings and evenings

GM Mort |

There is significance to this. My bad

GM Mort |

Else you could have arcane duelisted it. They do get heavy armor proficiency at 16.

Vincent Arazeiros |

I'd be up for an all fighter game. Tried to join an ironfang AP that was fighters only but didn't get selected.

GM Mort |

I think you get issues at high levels unless you really stock up on consumables.
But oh well, it'll be an experiment to try out...

![]() |

Well, there *are* fighter archetypes that grant spellcasting...
Failing that, everyone stocks-up on ranks in UMD, and/or item mastery feats.

Vincent Arazeiros |

It's doable. Would be fun. Might die but would be fun.

Leonard Giles Neithan |

I'd probably play a ranger, that's a very sweet class.
Also, I think that climb being a skill and thus not requiring the expenditure of resources is a fairly weak argument for not allowing a character to climb onto a flying person and try to hit another flying person. I think it'd be really dumb to try it, though, and if I were a GM I'd make it hard to grab onto the flier. I'd also hand out a penalty to attack, and the flying person might try to, um, fly away.

GM Mort |

Urm...my attempts to weaponize explosive runes? =P
Who the hell gives a cleric rune domain...must be the most useless domain ever...
Anyway I guess spell immunity was for..That too..

GM Mort |

Actually I'm not very sure if adjacent will allow a reflex save...Mmph.
It's a bit fuzzy...
The statement "next to the explosive runes (close enough to read them) takes the full damage with no saving throw"
Meh. Go debate with me abit...I can sorta see how you can look at the other side of the coin, but again, what would "next to the explosive runes(close enough to read them)," mean, if not adjacent?
When would it apply?

GM Mort |

Book 4 prep done.
Tomorrow I'm going out for a run so don't do expect delays in da morning posts.

Leonard Giles Neithan |

Oh man, running is fun. I went for a run today, but, uniquely for me, it was on a treadmill. It was weird.
Also, does that mean do expect delays?
I can't think of anything to add to the explosive runes conversation.

Vincent Arazeiros |

Well for example someone opposite the paper couldn't read them, lol.
I think the intention is no save for reader and people next to them looking at it, save for everyone else within 10ft. But it's poorly worded so you get to make the call as DM.

GM Mort |

That's why I wasn't to keen on the random copying of any spells you like - the mod already provides spell books... It's not ROW where there are none. If the mod provides, I see no reason why I need to add to it.

GM Mort |

You could take a Kali like eidolon, you just can't take multi weapon fighting =) Besides that was synthesist talk...not alchemist.
And I even did give you a semi decent build for a single weapon wielding synthesist.

Leonard Giles Neithan |

Vincent, I can't remember if we ever sorted this out, but my current statistics do not factor in the belt of constitution. It's yours if you want it.

GM Mort |

Good. Please make up your minds about this because it's giving ME a headache factoring your hps.

GM Mort |

Also adventurers are loot greedy b@stards,so it's no surprise that people would rather full clear the dungeon so to speak. I don't care so long as a choice was made.
I don't see the point of you getting lewt without putting in any effort so to speak.

Vincent Arazeiros |

I wouldn't leave without ranksacking anything of value here.
Ok Leonard adding it to my sheet. It's +2 right?

GM Mort |

If there are reasons why it isn't worth it to full clear I actually will warn you. Like in ROW, I didn't want the party running into a roomful of shadows and a greater shadow. There was no loot in that encounter and people say Shadows aren't representative of their CR.
If you are humanoid and get killed by a shadow, you become one, and that's something you need resurrection to fix.
Waiting for party actions BTW.

GM Mort |

I promised I'd help a friend recruit, so here goes:
Character creation rulkes here here
Basically try to stick to CRB (the only thing I indulged in was dimdweller), and choose from 18, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9 array
*OR*
One 18 and roll the rest, 4d6 drop the lowest.
Equipment:
100 gp of gear
Party is currently a cleric, two rogues (one of them left and is being botted), a ranger (me), an occultist, and a magus.
Id probably like having someone who could knowledge monkey around but asking Robert to roll a wizard is ;)
Just go send PMs to the GM if you're interested

GM Mort |

6 days more to my Christmas party! We'll have a kg of ribeye beef steak(medium - well done), 3.5 kg of ribs(last year we had 2 kg and late comers had not enough ribs),2 kg of roast lamb shank with bone-in, a mixed sausage platter, 25 chicken wings, 2 packets of fried rice, 2 packets of beef bologonise spaghetti,
sautéed Brussel Sprouts with bacon bits, boiled French beans, buttered kennel corn, sautéed mushrooms. And 1kg of hazelnut praline log cake.
For a lunch party 12 people. Let's hope everything goes off without a hitch =)
On Christmas day, you won't see much of me =) Parteh!

GM Mort |

Buying in and bringing it back home. I have no clue how to make steaks, nor roast lamb shanks...frying chicken wings would mess up the kitchen.
Lamb shank, mixed sausage platter, 2 kg of ribs, and beef bologonise spaghetti will be from Tims.
Steak and another 1.5 kg of ribs will be from isteak - I took their 1 kg communal platter with sides. Added extra sauteed mushrooms.
Fried rice and chicken wings will be bought from the hawker store downstairs. Some of the family still has very traditional chinese palates...
Not to mention to actually cook those items would require at the minimum probably to be up at the crack of dawn.
We'll leave the Italians to provide the drinks =)

Leonard Giles Neithan |

Basically just a gigantic pile of meat, eh? Sounds good.
Looking into that game you linked.

![]() |

Hey! I'm a large cat! And no, this has nothing to do with Zip...she's considering vegetarianism.
Also there were vegetables.
"sautéed Brussel Sprouts with bacon bits, boiled French beans, buttered kennel corn, sautéed mushrooms."
Those are vegetables!
But really if your family are incorrigible carnivores, a huge pile of meat is what you end up ordering for parties.
I tried salad two Christmas parties back. Not many people ate that. I think it's our preference for cooked veges, or maybe no veges at all.. ;)

![]() |

The issue is my family is Chinese and rather traditional so they won't take raw vegetables like salads. And the Italian side is too busy stuffing themselves full with the meats to look at vegetables.
Our traditional palate does not seem to extend to meats cooked using western methods...guess meat lovers share some things in common afterall...meat is meat, no matter how its cooked?
I do eat salads of course but I might be the odd one out...

Leonard Giles Neithan |

That explains it then, cats prefer the taste of meat to sugar.
Though I haven't eaten meat regularly in several years, I genuinely cannot remember a meat dish that didn't taste good. Merry christmas.

![]() |

If my voracious meat eating appetites have upset you in any way, I’m sorry!
Truthfully, I'm an omnomnomnivore.

Leonard Giles Neithan |

I think she was trying to steak out her claim as a cat.

GM Mort |

Green is good, red you get cover from the bed. Seamus you're already on level ground so no issue seeing them.

Vincent Arazeiros |

Sounds like a feast. Merry Christmas! Early!
I am on vacation for two weeks starting Saturday so I will be a lot slower posting. Bot as needed during that time.

GM Mort |

Okie. If I have time to bot lol.
Where you going for vacation?
Also off to play path of exile. See you in 1.5 hour or so... :P Seamus is probably asleep and so is Leonard.

Leonard Giles Neithan |

Actually still awake, but about to go to sleep. This is my schedule on extended holidays like christmas break, and will remain so until mid january.

Vincent Arazeiros |

Nowhere lol. Just hanging out festivities and doing house work I can't get done during work work, and kids etc.

GM Mort |

Sorry, but I couldn't post until Vincent did...and of course when I finished running some dungeons with my brother in Path of Exile =)
*GM lazes around*
