Sorry doing some overtime and been either working or passed out lol. my times are all off for posting too hah.

Knock backwards by blood wave.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

The way I handle levelling mid dungeon it isn’t diablo style, where you get instant resource restoration – you just get whatever new stuff your level says you get, but you need to sit down and prepare it(for all you prepared casters). I don’t mind hand-waving the sitting down time, you have time enough to do that without interruptions anyway. For Spontaneous casters, you just get it.

Retired to Taldor?

Ok we have a hammer and a crowbar can't we start knocking a hole in the wall?

The walls and celling(10ft) are made out of stone. DC 25 climb if you're trying to imitate nightcrawler without a climb speed.

As per lower storey wall here

Crawling below...we'll just say the geyser occupies the lower 5ft

There are bookshelves in the room were in couldn't we push one into the hall against the wall and climb on it?

Of course if we were nightcrawler we would just "Bamf" into the room and shut the door then Bamf back out...

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Heh. You could. Anyone has knowledge engineering so you don't collapse the wall by accident? Also, fort saves or get fatigued, DC 15 =D

Sorry, I'm having a good laugh here... I know, I'm bad...

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

The bookshelf would get swept away by the blood geyser when it gets pushed into the hall.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

On a more reasonable note, the party does have the means to close the door without stepping into the geyser. It may require resource expenditure, though.

If you really run out of inspiration, you can just attempt to walk through the geyser, taking the damage if you fail the reflex save and try another route.

Half-Elf Investigator (Bonded) 9 / Magus (VMC); HP 81/81, Init +1, Perception +18+1d8, +4 vs traps; Vorq Perception +15+1d8; AC 18/FF 16/T 12, +3 vs traps; Fort +7, Ref +8, Will +8, +3 vs traps; CMB +11, CMD 22; Inspiration (1d8+2) 8/8; Arcane Pool (+2) 8/8;

I got this.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Move your minis from where you want to go from here, or state the area.

Once you're done with the revelations =)

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Firstly, I apologize for any inaccuracies in any medical terminology used, since I'm not a doctor nor do I study medicine.

Secondly, I'll be going on vacation with my family to taman negara on 6th October to 9th October to hike in the jungle.

I will have very limited internet access during those days, since there is no wifi in the jungle and only when I am at my room in guesthouse at night and in the morning will I have internet access(which is likely to be spotty), so my apologies in advance.

Half-Elf Investigator (Bonded) 9 / Magus (VMC); HP 81/81, Init +1, Perception +18+1d8, +4 vs traps; Vorq Perception +15+1d8; AC 18/FF 16/T 12, +3 vs traps; Fort +7, Ref +8, Will +8, +3 vs traps; CMB +11, CMD 22; Inspiration (1d8+2) 8/8; Arcane Pool (+2) 8/8;

Hiking in the jungle, you are going adventuring!

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Yeah I'm a multiclassed ranger/wizard with possibly levels in assassin....and considering going arcane trickster.

I have a special feat that lets me ignore alignment pre-requisites for assassin.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Actually you all were brought here in a catatonic state by the Count. He paid for your admission with a generous donation and by giving the Chains of Night to Doctor Losandro

here

Losandro’s journal wrote:

Lowls has made me an offer: his copy of The Chain of Nights. All I must do in return is accept a handful of new patients who were former associates of his that have suffered some unprecedented manner of group catatonia.

Yeah that's what I said. Or meant to say? Now I go reread it lol

I parsed it as he handed you to Doctor Losandro in exchange for the book the Chains of Night. Or maybe I'm on 4 hours of sleep so... ^^

Half-Elf Investigator (Bonded) 9 / Magus (VMC); HP 81/81, Init +1, Perception +18+1d8, +4 vs traps; Vorq Perception +15+1d8; AC 18/FF 16/T 12, +3 vs traps; Fort +7, Ref +8, Will +8, +3 vs traps; CMB +11, CMD 22; Inspiration (1d8+2) 8/8; Arcane Pool (+2) 8/8;

Ah yes not very well worded. He paid with the book in exchange for dumping us here per letters from other office.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Also I'm waiting for you guys to indicate a direction - not so much of a rush since I'm going to be out for lunch with a colleague and won't be able to respond anyway...

Retired to Taldor?

sorry about the delay's folks, Mondays are really ugly for me,

Retired to Taldor?

Mort, just for RP purposes, do we remember the count? I'm assuming we don't, but if we do it would change the conversation a little.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

You don't remember the Count =D

Half-Elf Investigator (Bonded) 9 / Magus (VMC); HP 81/81, Init +1, Perception +18+1d8, +4 vs traps; Vorq Perception +15+1d8; AC 18/FF 16/T 12, +3 vs traps; Fort +7, Ref +8, Will +8, +3 vs traps; CMB +11, CMD 22; Inspiration (1d8+2) 8/8; Arcane Pool (+2) 8/8;

If Seamus or Dakash want to use the +2 sword for helping fight that's fine, I can use it if no one else wants to.

Retired to Taldor?

the +2 sword would hit better than the Morningstar and would do more damage on average also, Seamus has a shortsword and cannot use a rapier or martial weapons, so he would use it as his secondary weapon or close in when the bow isn't viable, that's how he is using the Morningstar. but if someone wants it as a primary weapons they can have it.

Half-Elf Investigator (Bonded) 9 / Magus (VMC); HP 81/81, Init +1, Perception +18+1d8, +4 vs traps; Vorq Perception +15+1d8; AC 18/FF 16/T 12, +3 vs traps; Fort +7, Ref +8, Will +8, +3 vs traps; CMB +11, CMD 22; Inspiration (1d8+2) 8/8; Arcane Pool (+2) 8/8;

Sure I'm ok with Seamus using it for now unless Dakash (unlikely) decides not to use a staff fornow.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

The reason why I gave it a turn first is because you had no way of spotting it...

And the last time I had an invisible monster... the players didn't know what to do and we wasted several hours.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Technically I'm not supposed to outright tell you it can't be flanked either...

Half-Elf Investigator (Bonded) 9 / Magus (VMC); HP 81/81, Init +1, Perception +18+1d8, +4 vs traps; Vorq Perception +15+1d8; AC 18/FF 16/T 12, +3 vs traps; Fort +7, Ref +8, Will +8, +3 vs traps; CMB +11, CMD 22; Inspiration (1d8+2) 8/8; Arcane Pool (+2) 8/8;

Right but you can say that I got into a flank position, and if you flank and it does nothing you kind of know flank doesn't work in character :)

But obviously don't tell us it can't be flanked before we try haha. It's like immune to sneak attack. Once you do it and it fails you know they are immune. Or fire immunity etc.

Retired to Taldor?

is Seamus still nauseated?

Half-Elf Investigator (Bonded) 9 / Magus (VMC); HP 81/81, Init +1, Perception +18+1d8, +4 vs traps; Vorq Perception +15+1d8; AC 18/FF 16/T 12, +3 vs traps; Fort +7, Ref +8, Will +8, +3 vs traps; CMB +11, CMD 22; Inspiration (1d8+2) 8/8; Arcane Pool (+2) 8/8;

Hey you edited that into your post after I asked if I flanked it! :)

When i responded it just said my spear didn't Pierce it's hide, sorry. I didn't reread it after the edit.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

I was trying to respond to your post in the query if it can be flanked... I wish I could speak more clearly, but alas.. GM player-seperation :(

Seamus is no longer nauseated.

Half-Elf Investigator (Bonded) 9 / Magus (VMC); HP 81/81, Init +1, Perception +18+1d8, +4 vs traps; Vorq Perception +15+1d8; AC 18/FF 16/T 12, +3 vs traps; Fort +7, Ref +8, Will +8, +3 vs traps; CMB +11, CMD 22; Inspiration (1d8+2) 8/8; Arcane Pool (+2) 8/8;

Yeah, missed where you hinted at flank via edit. It was a bit confusing due to the map on phone, couldn't tell if I failed to flank or it wasn't possible to move around the bushes to do so.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Yellow for grease area.

The Exchange

Complain about the new boards here!

For those of you who haven’t heard, I just finished GMingReign of Winter in less then a year. I guess its unbecoming to brag ;) But I think I deserve a pat on my back anyway :P

*smug kitty*

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Howard sends his apologies. Something knocked out his internet and he's trying to get it fixed. Meanwhile, he's trying to get get his non touch phone working but that isn't working too well either.

I'll bot him for now, and I will start applying my brains on how to play a whizard!

Half-Elf Investigator (Bonded) 9 / Magus (VMC); HP 81/81, Init +1, Perception +18+1d8, +4 vs traps; Vorq Perception +15+1d8; AC 18/FF 16/T 12, +3 vs traps; Fort +7, Ref +8, Will +8, +3 vs traps; CMB +11, CMD 22; Inspiration (1d8+2) 8/8; Arcane Pool (+2) 8/8;

No problem and congrats on the reign of winter game! Always wanted to play that one but my group in PBP for it fell apart in short order.

yes, congrats! but remember, you didn't have to finish it, we were willing to keep going. Einar would have been willing to go after the torc before he headed to Triaxius :-)

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Sure =) So what gives me the right to exercise my devilishly creative mind to create encounters that are CR appropriate but might be totally fked up? ;)

I know I may be an @ss at times, but I try to be fair and equitable...

BTW Seamus, you're up. Winter healed you for 13.

Retired to Taldor?

That puts him at ten right?

editIs the door on the east side of C1 with the rubble in front of it able to be opened?

edit #2 Why is there a reptile in C14?

GM Mort wrote:

That's why your a LN GM :-)

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Then you'll get all kinds of weird sh*t popping out and me claiming it was all in the name of SCIENCE!

Did I tell you about me brewing up two aerial derodaemons with a worm that walks wizard?

Yes, Seamus, you're at 10. That reptile in C14 is Claude, Howard's familiar. Please help me move him to Howard since I'm on phone.

Rubble east of C1 is impassable. So you cannot get to the door there.

Retired to Taldor?

Nope, you didn't tell us about either of those lovely creations, I'm sure Crummock would have come up with a way to neutralize them, we may have needed to do some special shopping...

it looks like you've got Claude already...

So did we tell Winter about the rat-things living in the library? What are we going to feed them, carcasses of things we kill? I mean they have to eat, right?

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Meh a cat needs to have some sekrets =) Was going to spring those on you before you fought those 4 hags, should you have decided to sleep outside their room.

I dunno haha...I forgot to get them to ask you to bring them some cheese...

Retired to Taldor?

oh, hey, looking at the loot list, are the red boots large enough to fit an 11 1/2 mens?

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

They're any size you want them to be. Because they're magically resizing boots =)

I'm going to assume that's there only magical quality... Well that and just looking good.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Lookin good is all cool by me =)

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

I may miss my night login since I may go to bed early tonight. 8h drive to taman negara...

If so I will try catch up in the morning.

Strange Aeons Grp 2 |

Dakash - I would be giving you AOOs for a tiny thing moving into your square, unfortunately you're not armed..
