Lol our rolls aren't helping.
Is anyone else using chrome on phone? I keep getting these paizo backtracking errors after I post and it wipes the post, or it decides to close the gameplay tab if I open the map or something in a new tab

Leonard Giles Neithan |

I'm not posting on a phone, but if I spend a long time on a past I get backtracking too far errors. I always copy paste posts though, haven't lost one in a long time.

GM Mort |

I'm using Chrome on phone and I lost a post for another game. Seamus heard me whine.
As a free action, he can expend one use of inspiration from his pool to add 1d6 to the result of that check, including any on which he takes 10 or 20. This choice is made after the check is rolled and before the results are revealed. An investigator can only use inspiration once per check or roll.
I'll think on the inspiration use since it has to be declared before the results were revealed.

If it's a decent sized post I copy and paste, or just type on word and copy past from there.
I don't even try to get on the internet on my flip phone.... yeah, I'm entering the 21st century kicking and screaming...

GM Mort |

In PFS, generally only improved familiars can use wands via UMD (ability to speak). Or maybe a raven as corner case as it can speak.
I am rather lenient on this regard and will allow use of UMD on non improved familiars.
I suppose it could squeak until the wand works...

Seamus Passeri |
ok I need a 'ruling' on how this works:
Arrowsong Strike (Su)
At 6th level, an Arrowsong minstrel can use spellstrike (as per the magus class feature) to cast a single-target ranged touch attack spell and deliver it through a ranged weapon attack. Even if the spell can normally affect multiple targets, only a single missile, ray, or effect accompanies the attack. She cannot use spellstrike with normal touch attacks or melee attacks.
So two questions:
Do I roll a ranged touch attack roll or a regular attack roll?
Second does the attack do both spell damage and arrow damage?

GM Mort |

Regular attack, you roll both arrow and spell damage if you hit. Mind you undead have this clause:
Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects or is harmless).
I need to check what are the interactions between snowball and undead.

GM Mort |

The creature kept 5ft stepping towards Vincent and eventually did leave Leonard's body behind it.

Vincent Arazeiros |

Technically my familiar can speak also :)
Speak with Master (Ex): If the master is 5th level or higher, a familiar and the master can communicate verbally as if they were using a common language. Other creatures do not understand the communication without magical help.
It's a valid language hehe.
Sorry Seamus I thought you'd step back like Howard after attacking. That's why I posted that if Howard steps back and then I do for reach attack you could hit without cover (and then step back so I'd be in front lol).
We definitely don't have enough restorations for this.

Vincent Arazeiros |

Cure light, only one he has. Lol. I was going to brace door but it blew up haha

GM Mort |

I'll say you braced the door and it blew up because hell hath no fury like a woman scorned =)
Nonetheless I see you've figured out the trick of this fight =)

GM Mort |

If it had been ability drain and not damage, then Leonard would have been dead since it would not be 2 points to actually affect, and he'd be past his con modifier.
We'll just say on the red bed is the torso.

![]() |

Well, if attacking the helpless torso works, then yes, we can coup de grace; it's just that as an undead, it ignores the 'fort save or die' part of the equation...

GM Mort |

Yes you could CDG...LOL. And you can CDG with a ranged weapon as long as you are within 5 ft...

![]() |

...so I think an auto crit with a silver arrow would be very helpful, right about now ;-)

GM Mort |

*pokes Seamus on his nose with a claw*
Sometimes you need to think a little out of the box…
Hey, I do reward player creativity and using your head too!

![]() |

*cough*
Coup-de-grace is a full round action, Seamus; you only get one damage roll (albeit a good one!)...

GM Mort |

For this bot - please take off a 2nd level spell slot, Seamus and a clw potion of the inventory list.

GM Mort |

Vincent asked me to get Leonard up as quickly as possible so I did what he asked me to do.

![]() |

@GM Mort: Seems legit.
@Seamus: Sadly, we have used-up the Wand of Lesser Restoration. When we get back to town, we should probably stock-up on scrolls and potions, since the only person with it on their spell list is Vincent, and even if he prepares it, he can only use it on himself.

GM Mort |

I took it as an indication of this post in assuming Leonard was conscious and could help, that he wanted Leonard up ASAP, so I did what I could to hurry the process.
I am pretty much a robot, afterall.
I know you had lots of CLW potions lying around, but wasn't sure on the cure mods.

![]() |

We do actually have a few Potions of CMW.
If Seamus would prefer to have the spell slot back, and to have used a potion instead, let me know :-)

GM Mort |

That's fine too, I will accept that. Leonard is up to full with all that wanding right? 20 hp is like urp.

![]() |

@GM Mort: Yes, he is.
@Seamus: Keep your spell slot; I have marked off a Potion of CMW.

GM Mort |

I'll tell you that your heroism has maybe 1-2 more fights/dialogues to go, Vincent. I can't be letting you have it up all dungeon =)

Vincent Arazeiros |

Hmm well I've been forgetting to add it to attacks anyway lol. Probably would have helped that one miss. I do have another allocation to keep it going, if I decide to use it on that.

Leonard Giles Neithan |

Guess I should just never go to sleep. Although I guess I did just sleep like, fifteen hours or something ridiculous like that.

GM Mort |

I assumed you added it to your modifier already since it was quite high.
I know it's not factored it into your saves and I will factor it in if you need to make any.

GM Mort |

We got company too!
I dunno, the whole thing struck me as funny.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
We've got company
And so do you too!
You'll ding 7 at the end of the book so you can start preparing your level 7 character sheet now.

GM Mort |

Will leave to Howard to answer if he has Glitterdust or not. Some things are private.
Mmph. I like the sound of that.

Vincent Arazeiros |

Lol, I mean I see that he does but Vincent doesn't know that.
I actually wrote we got company then realized I wrote the same thing cultist just said and added 'too' haha
Once again forgetting heroism not that it would have made a difference really.

GM Mort |

Maybe. Certain things happened so I'm not too sure.
I can help you factor in your buffs. And I will since you're not doing it for heroism.
I will wait for Howard to post since there's a request from you that he does something, instead of just generally asking him to retcon his turn.
So there will be some gameplay delay since I know he's at work now and can't post for at least 4-6h

GM Mort |

If anyone is worried about exploding on critical hits, I'll guarantee that even if you get critted, I'll leave you your body to be raised unless it is stated in the creature stat block that it is a death effect/cannot be raised etc. Or you got disintegrated etc.
I'm not making promises on how many pieces your body will be in, but as long as you pick up the pieces, you're good.
I won't screw players that way.
Unless your body is not recovered by the party, then enemies, depending on what they are, may/may not take steps.
But again since it's a Mook, what's a bit of harmless fun...

Leonard Giles Neithan |

Yay for the other guy surrendering! Napoleon once said that a battle is two armies trying to scare each other, because most people don't die, they run away. Casualties for medieval battles are ussually skewed heavily in the favor of one side, because the other side ran away and many people died while they were running. Basically, humans really don't want to die, and moral is like...way more important than most rpgs make it out to be.
