Later if you guys can't decide a direction to go, I could always roll random numbers and decide for you ^^

GM Mort |

The idea that was playing out was that if you make too much noise near an area that is structurally unsound, you can cause it to collapse further.
I try to pay attention to details.
Also I don't like taking away player freedom of choice uncessarily.

I mean how would you feel if someone in the street walked up to you and said, "Hey, I need to test if you're human or not so please let me poke you with an arrow till you bleed."

GM Mort |

Well, look on the bright side, the bad rolls are out of your system! =)
Anyway when I played this, I nearly ended up dead. Howard had to wake me up after with smelling salts and I was being a happy possum after ending up at - 10.
Also, Howard, your guidance did it! Vincent just hit the spot!

Vincent Arazeiros |

Not sure on precise shot. I would think someone with a reach weapon wouldn't be considered in melee (not just large reach but actual reach weapon) for hitting opponent, but that's just a guess.
I looked it up and the consensus that I found most correct was, if there's a 5ft space between them it's no penalty for shooting into melee. Makes sense, the penalty is supposed to be from the opponents moving around fighting and blocking your shot. With 10ft distance there's not really any grounds for having trouble shooting the bad guy vs the good guy.
I'm ok either way but since we have an archer it'd be good to say how you will be ruling it.

Seamus Passeri |
Vincent sees something dangling from the pocket of the half-eaten woman...
Decide if you want to search the half eaten corpse + what to do with the man.
If Seamus saw something he would have searched the corpse, I assume we would have searched all the corpses.
As for giving cover I would say a person with a reach weapon doesn't give 'cover' but your the GM,
Just don't have the person giving cover get shot instead...

GM Mort |

I'll give you the corpse items in a bit but you can use a reach weapon and shoot at the bugger without requiring precise shot and not take - 4.
You did not search all corpses. If you did...ah well...

GM Mort |

I do not wish to bot a character into a position that may get him into trouble.

Vincent Arazeiros |

Sorry, I posted when I woke up but I think you missed it :)
"Earlier
Vincent uses the spear to tear open any pockets or garment pieces on the corpse holding valuables, gathering them up and placing them in a pouch (something was in the pocket?). He also helps gather the tools they found but leaves the blankets for now."
I didn't search the cultist though since Dakash wanted to leave him chained for now. (And they apparently are the cheap variety haha)

Vincent Arazeiros |

Oh right you said we will go back and free him. I assumed you meant not doing so at the time as in we will go back and free him but not right now :)

GM Mort |

And yeah Vincent, I missed it. My apologies. I spotted Swamus complaining about the lewt, so I decided, why the hell not, give it to him. =P

Vincent Arazeiros |

Is ok now you have justification for giving it :)
Was that the only thing on the corpse?

GM Mort |

Yes. Besides Seamus's response was pure gold. You can loot their (defective) manacles =p

GM Mort |

Very well timed crit, Dakash =) Else this fight really has the potential to get nasty...

GM Mort |

I really didn't want to throw THAT encounter on you, but loot greedy fks will be loot greedy fks...

GM Mort |

Retcon it later, in case we both forget.
I will move you systematically back searching every single nook and cranny, since it is as per your requests.

GM Mort |

Later at the party’s usual posting time I will be at a meeting, so I apologize in advance for the delay in the pickup.
I’m still trying to get the flow of the party posting so that I can catch the posts as they fly by.
I love the sound of plot moving!

Seamus Passeri |
Winter told you the door to the south would lead outside.
oh sorry, Seamus wasn't paying very good attention, I think it's the low perception score...

GM Mort |

I'm sort of waiting for someone else to chime in, since Seamus specifically asked if party agrees to the terms. Anyway, that can wait till morning, I'm off to bed.

GM Mort |

The problem in getting Seamus to do all the talking is firstly at this point of time he's rushing off to work, secondly, because of his dumped int, he may not get the significance of the subjects discussed, or wish to enquire further on them.

Seamus Passeri |
yeah, still working on his personality, looking for a balance between totally ignorant and simplistically insightful :-)
Also, I don't want to take up all the fun stuff, still trying to find a balance between keeping us moving and hogging the show.
Ok, headed to work, be back on in a couple.

GM Mort |

Later after this please decide if you're going to Losandro's office or you want to explore the area between C2 and C3 which has yellow fog, but thinner.
Before SOME people think I'm trying to cheat them of their lewt...

I would assume the office, but if anyone wants to backtrack now instead of latter I really don't care.

GM Mort |

Do you want to continue this way, or backtrack to C2 and C3?
When I give perception checks, it will be just described in clockwise direction - I cannot mark it on the map, since I will likely be on phone when it happens.

Seamus Passeri |
Between all three of them, they realize that the woman has been turned into a faulty oneirogen – someone who belches mist and protomatter from the borders of the Dreamlands into the material plane, weakening the boundaries between the two realms. They also realize that the coloured mist the woman sprouts can cause people who inhale it to fall asleep. Within 5 ft of the woman
So I'm going to assume that we held our breath while we searched her? And she was fine with us doing that... Ok then...
On a separate note, I ended up working a double on a fairly rough day, it seems like things are moving ok, so I'm going to get some sleep.
Oh, and let's keep moving the direction we are, we can always go back to C2 and C3, unless we get sent to another world in a chicken-legged hut...
hhmmm since she was ok with us frisking her, do you think she would complain if we led her around and pushed her into any bad guys we find? Thus activating her self-defense/survival-mode mechanism on there a butts...

GM Mort |

She can't really harm you. We assume you put her out of her misery.
Also, Vincent is good at frisking people with his longspear.

GM Mort |

Also later - about 5h from now, I'll be at 5e and tomorrow and next few days I'll be rather busy at work(afk), so I apologize for the posting lapse in advance.
