Round 5
Seraphina's Corrosive touch burns away a few ticks but not as many as she would have hoped. Sable gets the clinging ticks off his body. Hundor's flames barely burn as the carpet of ticks fall upon him again. The ticks do continue to move but before they can find Ingvarr Tessara finishes off the gray swarm.

Ingvarr moves over to Hundor and casts a spell of healing on him to stop the bleeding from the wound inflicted by the tick.

Drayken and Silverstein move to fend off the swarm with the energies from their weapons while the others with spells and elemental attacks finish it off.

Drayken and Silverstein charge the swarm. Hurting it but then it encompasses them rather than Hundor.

Ingvarr heals Hundor and he says, "Much better now thank you everyone!"

Rognar heals Hundor as the ticks continue to bite him. Can reccon if you want, or heal yourself.


Tessara moves back to Sable and then shoots an acid orb at the swarm. "Sorry, I don't have many more spells... I hope there are not more swarms."

Cautiously she blurts out, "I don't know if I channel here who it will benefit, quickly we should go back to the tunnel, heal and recooperate." She moves back to the tunnel.

Koldur sulks as he finally exits invisibility using his axes to spilt the chains. Once that is done, he carries the injured elf away. He was already getting used to not being seen.....

Seraphina puts away her acid flask and pulls out her wand of lesser restoration and gives Hundor a tap with it as they follow Yolanda to where she feels secure enough to channel and heal. Once that was done, she detects magic to be sure the fallen vermin did not carry anything worthwhile.

I stopped the damage at round 5... I took after DR: 5+6+5+4= 20 damage.
And 4 con damage!

Sable helps others collect what they can and moves back into the tunnel to get healed. "Seraphina are you healing constitution damage, please use at least one on me."

Is there a save against the Con damage? Also, the barbarians were moving around and not in the swarm the whole time. Near the end they were adjacent to it, not inside it.

Yolanda and Rognar had been using their spells to heal the group, after the first swarm was down channels were used to make sure that the damage was being negated.

As the group retreats Yolanda and Rognar would be sweating from the amount of healing they had used on the party.


"I am all out of spells and channels. We should retreat." She states looking weary and ready to go back.


Tessara would go to each of you who were within the cone of her spells, "I am so sorry it was not good but otherwise I don't... couldn't use the spell. Area of effect spells likely would only work on them. Please forgive my calculated risk. Maybe we should have just retreated after taking down the two large insects."

Drayken offers, "Sorry we were in the zone doing our best to hit those bugs. Yeah the healing really helped but we are sooooo drained right now."

"Was watching you lot dance with the bugs and trying o get this one." he points to the injured elf he had released from the chains earlier.
"Free from his chains though they were pretty tough to break. With all that excitement, Ah didn't go to the other rooms to check it out. Ye lot looks battered enough. We should just hole up and heal up as it is. You lot looked ready to dropped and strong as I am, I am not looking forward to lugging all you heavy bums out of here." he says frankly with some amusement.

"Next time we scout a room, one person goes. That way just one person gets swarmed." he holds back a snicker as his eyes goes over everyone's wounds. It looks like he's going to be carrying full watch later.

In a way he had long recognized that he wouldn't be of much help to those swarms. Only magics with wide area effects seemed to hurt them from what he observed.

Here is the new alias. I gave the old one a different face, so you can edit her out of the campaign when you get a chance. I'm going to accept the retcon to not be dead but respect if Rognar doesn't want to.


From the channels the elf comes too, he smiles at the group and it gets wider seeing Tessara. He starts to make noises but fails to make words. He puts his hand in his mouth and begins pulling at the same green goo but it is in his mouth. His hand is soon stuck too.

With all the Con damage most of you quickly fall asleep. How many charges did Seraphina expend and on who, your choice.

2 ability score points for a full 8 hours of rest in a day, or 4 ability score points for each full day of complete rest.
You can tend as many as six patients at a time. You need a few items and supplies (bandages, salves, and so on) that are easy to come by in settled lands. Giving long-term care counts as light activity for the healer. You cannot give long-term care to yourself.

Seraphina casts prestidigitation to help clean away the gag and bindings on the elf captive and then uses her wand of lesser restoration to help as many people as she can. "I shall have to return it to the Temple of Nethys and swap it out when we are done here. Should we return to where we camped last night?"

The wand had only 20 charges and she had used 2 charges on Hundor, so 18 charges left to distribute.

Prestidigitation won't help to clean away the gag or the bindings on the elf captive. I am sure the bindings are easily cut off unless someone has a pair of lock picks? Though the gag is the same slimy goo that made one of the barbarians almost not able to move.

Last Night:

No one seems to have a solution to get the goo out of the elf's mouth. Though with the healing he is conscious and aware. With a few hefty pulls his hand is free.

Though he is a bit dehydrated. With the goo in his mouth it will be hard for him to drink but not impossible. With some careful help you are able to get him to drink some.

Tessara tells the group that this elf was in her exploration party. His name is Eldradin, the ranger for the group.

Moving back into the room you finished fighting in last. The group spreads out ready for any threat to come from the door. Some of the sticky goo is on the ground. Luckily nothing comes from the goo on the walls.

Sera will spend some time to craft some universal solvent taking 10 on the spellcraft check for a 23. It will take her 4 hours to produce.

Once the stuff was dissolved and the elf could speak again, she asked what he could tell them about the area ahead.


Last Night:
How much of the universal solvent are you able to make? Just one dose?

The elf gratefully accepts a cup of liquid from anyone once the goo is gone. He spits out the goo, swishes and spits more. Then once his mouth is clean he states, "The goo was bad but that solvent tastes horrible. Thank you for freeing me and fixing me! Tessara it is so good to see you. We... I have vague memories... we were worried about the others, though I can't remember who. Other elves I am sure of it. But it is hard to remember anything except before being abducted by those insects. No I am sorry I can't help with any information about... anything."

After a good nights rest and before the group leaves he says, "If you can give me a bow and arrows I can help. Any other equipment would be nice too. But my memories are still muddled to say the least. I do remember being brought before a large one of those and it spraying something in my face. It was surrounded by eggs and small ones of its kind."

Nothing to add to my end, waiting on confirmation of spells being cast, placement of characters on the map, and movement forward by Koldur. I also understand him not moving forward until we have spells cast.

Ingvarr will cast Mirror Image on himself and use the wand of Communal Protection from Evil on anyone in the party who want it. He has the barbarians light their weapons and hang out with Soren while he readies his bow at the other side of the goo to hopefully have a clear shot if there is something in the next room.

Once everybody is done, Koldur gaily strides in. His blood pumping. Even with all his wounds (well con damage), he doens't let it stop him as he trusts in his companions and his own armor to supplement his martial skill.

Koldur quickly gets stuck in the goo at the door. Then he rips his boots from the goo entering the room.

Pathfinder rules state you can only craft 1 magic item per day no matter how much time it takes, but if we aren't using those she should be able to turn out a 'dose' of it every 4 hours just taking 10, but it's sort of up for interpretation how much adhesive substance it can dissolve. *shrugs*

"I wonder if my acid can do anything to break it down. It requires a spell that produces magical acid in making that universal solvent, after all."

Experimenting, she draws her acid flask and using it as a focus, fires an acid splash at some of the goo to see if it has any effect.

I am fine with making items equal to the time, so you could make 40 uses of Universal Solvent in 8 hours. Though my original question of how much did you use on the elf has not been answered, even by me! XP
It looks like it is a one use item, a small dose like a potion.

Missing the goo sack on the wall the acid does little to the wall itself. She fires again and hits the goo sack on the wall and it begins to melt. Nothing moves within the goo...

The elf ranger that the group rescued uses Sable's bow and quiver staying at the back ready to shoot or run as needed. This is the elf you rescued from the stone, he was manacled up. Please read the spoiler. I was trying to keep us going and use the spoiler for the nightly events.


As you continue to talk you draw the attention of the same insects you have seen before. Koldur and bugs act in surprise round. They have done their actions now its your turn. I am going to say your init is the same for the surprise round.

Koldur:
though one comes from a hole 20 feet high on the wall opposite of you... What do you do?[/ooc]
