"D, something is wrong here, but this guy isn't doing anything at the moment, and we're sitting ducks up here. Let's go help our friends down below."
Xara barks a command in Celestial, and the three of them take off for the others.
Eagle 1 flies along the edge of the wall, then tries to turn sharply to dive at the NW zombie in that little trio.
Fly check DC 15 to turn: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 Success!
Talon: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 3 + 1 = 15 (higher ground)
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Eagle 2 follows Eagle 1 (Robey gets an AoO against either of them if it wants one). It also attempts a sharp dive turn, hopefully ending up in the "space" directly above that zombie's head.
Fly DC 15: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 Success!
Talon: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7 (higher ground) (presumably a miss)
Reafan fly to maneuver more than 45 degrees: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 Fail.
Reafan fails to make the sharp turn, so he aborts his descent and lands on the edge of the SE tower. Robey could also get an AoO against him or Xara if it wished as they don't try to gain altitude before taking off and fly right past Robey and D.

Razaniel |

Unaware of the presence of any other opponents, Razaniel stands his ground, and fires a volley at the zombie furthest in the back of the trio before Sable and Oscar.
Rapid Shot 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

flurry w/sword strike #1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
flurry w/sword srike #2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
He strikes at the robed figure but misses again.

"Xara you got any easy way for us to get to D?" Sable yells at her as she gets nearer.

The one zombie on the wall advances on the crow, but with it gone it advances towards D. The two zombies left slam agaisnt the eagle and Oscar. The zombie attacking Oscar slams into him and grapples him, taking a bite out of his neck. 6 damage.
ROUND 8
HEROES GO!

Brother Henric |

Henric rushes toward the gate switching his axe for his bow again. He looks frantically to see what he needs to do to open the gate knowing that D is in there facing way too many foes alone.

ROUND 8
Oscar slashes at the zombie, cutting off a leg and it drops... for good.
Only D and Xara can see what is going on inside of the fort.
Henric you don't see anyway into the fort, the gate is closed, perhaps you could push or pull on it to see how secure it is. Your logic would tell you, otherwise you are going to need to climb or cut a way in.

![]() |

round 8
Sable takes a few measured steps to make sure he did not fall, then beside the last zombie he can see, he times his blow to miss either of the eagles. The measured attack, cuts the legs out from underneath the zombie.
1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 8 + 2 = 22 Elven Courtblade with flanking, 2d8 + 7 ⇒ (4, 3) + 7 = 14 damage.

Xara Ozolins |

The eagles fly up at a gentle rise, crest the wall, and make for a zombie. Eagle 1 catches a bad updraft and isn't able to descend as sharply as his friend, so he's still 20 feet up. Eagle 2 dives at a zombie.
Eagle 1 fly check (maneuvering): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Eagle 2 fly check (maneuvering): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Eagle 2 bite: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 = 6 (higher ground)
Eagle 2 snaps way too high, however.
Xara directs Reafan to charge the front Robey on the other roof.
Charge attack bite: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 2 = 7
Xara ride check: 1d20 + 8 - 3 ⇒ (6) + 8 - 3 = 11

acrobatics(running long jump): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
D takes a running leap accross the gap between the wall and the rooftop lands next to the robed figure closest to Xara and slashes at it with his sword attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 for damage: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

GM Wolf |

Round 8
Wow, that is a lot of missing Xara, but that is expected with such low rolls.
Koldur it is going to take you two turns to get to the gate, we will keep the roll and move that action to Round 9.
Just as Xara and D get to the figure, she laughs, throws down a rod and smoke begins to spurt from it. Leaving the top of the building covered in smoke in seconds.
Round 9
Go!!!
With Koldur's great strength he pops the door open about 3 feet, a good amount of space for any of you to get through. Even with a dwarf up against the door.

![]() |

ROUND 9
Sable does a double move to get near the gate, still looking around and listening for any threats and what is going on inside. "Come on boys, we got a fight going on inside, no time for dallying, more meat grinding to be had!"
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Perception Check.

He Who Pays His Debts |

Ok the map for round 8 is diffent enough then the map for round 7 that I'll have to make the following changes 1)move ten feet north 2)standing long jump to other rooftop 3)attack robed figure Xara keeps missing. Same acrobatics roll and same attack roll

Brother Henric |

Henric moves into the fort looking around he appraises the situation. He looks for a living target amongst the hoard of undead. Seeing the ladder he makes his way towards it deciding higher ground is what he needs.

Koldur of the Axe |

Koldur continues holding open the door, allowing his companions to enter.
His muscles straining, his pressing concern now is not to give himself a back ache.......

He Who Pays His Debts |

D strikes out hoping to connect flurry w/temple sword #1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 for damage: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Koldur of the Axe |

Koldur will hold the doors open until Round 10. Hopefully he's able to wedge the doors open.

GM Wolf |

Koldur you think that the door will stay in place now, you are sure you have secured it.
Round 10
The heroes begin to rush into the fort. Many, if not all, the zombies look like they are going after something on the other side of the fort. You don't see anything. The top of the building to the NorthEast is covered in smoke but you don't see any fire.
Brother Henric sees at least two others following him so, he stows his bow and climbs up. Now at the top he can go 15 feet either way.

![]() |

round 10
"Heh, I like their idea, better to waste a few arrows than waste my flesh." Sable says quietly and follows the archers. Stowing his sword to climb up the ladder.

Brother Henric |

Henric pulls his bow back out once he has reached the walkway. He begins to make his way around the ramparts.

Xara Ozolins |

Xara directs Reafan to lift off 5 feet into the air and try to hover, hoping the beating of his large wings will help clear away the smoke.
Reafan fly check DC 15 to hover: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
He fails to keep aloft, however, and drops back down onto the roof with a thud.

Koldur of the Axe |

Koldur seeing his friends make their way up decides not to follow them as his climbing skills leaves alot to be desired. Instead curious about the zombies movement, he follows them. Waving to his friends to cover him as he makes his way towards the zombie mass.
Just to ensure his defence doesn't slip, he keeps them close and crossed slightly above his chest.

Round 11
"Do you think it wise to go out in the open? The mass of zombies will over come you. Come over here to a chokepoint!" Sable says drawing his blade. Under his breath he mumbles, "Fools will get themselves killed, especially with the cleric above me."

Brother Henric |

Henric hustles around the rampart.
Does there seem to be enough plant matter for an entangle spell to work around that mass of zombies?

GM Wolf |

Unlikely, there are some rose bushes in front of the great hall, and some grass here and there, but not like out in the forest or the plains.

"By all the gods, that one is crazy!! I better go back him up. Sable I hope we weren't that reckless back then were we?"

Koldur of the Axe |

Dwarven. Should have indicated it in my post.

Round 12
With the dwarves coming to your aid to kill the undead, the fight looks like it will soon be an overwhelming win.
The celestial eagles start to work on the undead outside.
D over thinks his attack and swings where he think the zombie will bob, but it does not do much more than try to eat you not thinking about anything but how much it wants to eat you.
Raz misses and needs to focus better.
Henric thinks to finish a zombie that is down in a hole, but with the hard angle he misses.
Oscar swings and misses. Not a lucky round for him and many of his allies.
Koldur hacks and slashes taking down one zombie, as Sable does similar but to not as imminent effect.
The zombies seem to be having just the same amount of troubles, only on slam gets through on Oscar. It does not get the grapple as he shoves it off of him.
