Round 48 Sorry some actions got mixed up in the last post!
Still waiting: Koldur, Hundor, and Ingvarr.
Seraphina cuts into the large insect with her two claws. Yolanda misses her braced attack. Rognar delays.
The insects attack Seraphina and Yolanda. They are able to dodge all of the attacks.
Sable comes forward and cleaves on the two insects leaving the mindless men alone as Hundor does the same charging into the insect! The female elf moves to the side and casts scorhing ray to hit the orange insect.

The large insect forgets about its helmet and focuses purely on Seraphina with the aid of its fellow insect, now flanking her. The smaller of the two attacking Seraphina looses its footing, it doesn't go prone but hits itself and Seraphina and Sable get an AoO.
At the end of the round the boss insect hits Seraphina with its claw and lifts her into the air as the claws dig into her flesh. It goes to bite you but epically fails, as she is able to dodge the bite.
2d20 ⇒ (1, 18) = 19
I am not posting a recap until everyone has posted. Yes please post for 48 if you haven't yet and also 49! Thank you!
Ingvarr Battlecaller
Sorry, I was waiting to figure out what happened in round 47. I assume Seraphina is free from being grappled--did Ingvarr need to use his spell to facilitate that, or did she avoid the attacks altogether that caused the grapple? Still waiting to know which Knowledge check to use to identify the monsters.
Round 48
Raging Song 11 / Lingering Song 2 / Battle Cry 2
"Knock that helmet off the leader and we may be able to save the controlled opponents!" calls Ingvarr, taking a shot at the helmet itself, trying to somehow disrupt the leader's control!

Hundor takes the flank on the orange insect to add in a bit more damage with his strike.
Seraphina Medvyed
Seraphina recoiled in revulsion as the other cloaked figures turned out to be more giant bugs. She tried to step out of the vulnerable position of being sandwiched between the two enemies and continued to press the attack against the biggest one.

Round 49
Koldur unleashes his strikes against the large target, though only Moonshine tastes blood. Seraphina's claws continue to chew into its flesh! Yolanda smashes her halberd into the orange insects body to devastating effect but does not drop it. Koldur gets a bit of luck from Rognar which may have made the difference but he only hit once.
Big hp: 93-87
1d20 ⇒ 3
The purple insect misses Seraphina with all of its attacks. As Hundor gets hit by the orange one, and pulled into its clutches.
As Ingvarr calls for his immediate freedom, it is just enough: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Sable and Hundor finish off the orange insect as it falls to the ground in pieces. The 4th level sorcerous female elf casts magic missile and hits the large target with 2 missiles. 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 2) + 2 = 8 Sable also cleaves through to the purple insect finishing it off too!
Ingvarr sings to the group about the insects and renews the raging song! As the men stand there almost mindless, holding their swords in hand.
At the end of the round the boss insect hits Seraphina with its claw and lifts her into the air as the claws dig into her flesh, 10 damage. It goes to bite you but epically fails, as she is able to dodge the bite. AoO for both of you, Koldur and Seraphina. Which may end the boss!
Hundor
As he is freed and finishes off the insect with her and Sable he asks, "Yolanda see what crystals work now besides the white ones!"
Yolanda the Dark Angel
Round 50
She happily nods seeing that the area is well under hand now and follows her orders flying up away from battle to the Western wall.
Touching the black stone first and then one by one going South if possible. Each time she touches one it activates and drops to the ground making one effect or another:
A black crystal falls to the ground and a magic missile shoots from it towards the boss insect. A black crystal is left behind.
A yellow crystal hits the ground and a jolt of electricity bounces from the spot towards the men not moving. A yellow crystal is left behind.
A purple crystal falls to the ground a cloud of rainbow glitter dust is left behind and on the ground is a potion bottle with glowing purple liquid.
A black crystal falls to the ground and a magic missile shoots from it towards the boss insect. A black crystal is left behind.
An orange crystal falls to the ground and an orange ray shoots from it towards Yolanda. It hits her and she shouts, "Wow, I feel great! Get near one of those and hit it! Or wait for me to fly by!"A potion bottle with orange liquid is left behind.
Round 51
A yellow crystal hits the ground and a jolt of electricity bounces from the spot towards the men not moving. A yellow crystal is left behind.
A blue crystal hits the ground and three shards of ice erupt from the ground. A blue crystal is left behind.
A red crystal falls to the ground and a cone of red flames shoots from it towards the center of the room, though they only travel 15 feet. A red crystal is left behind.
An orange crystal falls to the ground and an orange ray shoots from it towards Yolanda. A potion bottle with orange liquid is left behind.
A green crystal falls to the ground and a green cloud shoots from it towards the center of the room, though it only travels 5 feet. But does not dissipate. A green crystal is left behind.
"So leave the blue, red, green, black, and yellow ones for next wave? I will touch the orange ones once each of you are under one. What about the purple one?"
Orange = Boost
Green = acid
Yellow = electricity
Red = fire
Blue = ice
Purple = Restoration
Black = Force

Round 49
Looking at the elven maiden he quickly asks, "What is your name and what do you know about the others with you? Tell us quickly!"
Round 50
Once the big one is taken down he would quickly command, "Seraphina grab that helmet. Perhaps we can use these men to our advantage. Either you or Ingvarr should try to use it."
He is ready to spring and attack any threats still.
GM Wolf
Koldur hits and likely Seraphina does as well taking the creature down. The black missile from Yolanda also helps and the elven maiden shoots two more missiles too.
Koldur your 18 missed. AC is 21. Your round 48 attacks both hit, though as I was posting for round 49 I chose to not mention them.
"I am called Tessara Moonsage, I am glad to see one of my own rescuing me! My original team has been separated from me to say the least. These two are barbarians that are controlled by the helmet. I would be willing to help make it work if you have any problems, though I have never worked with it before myself. I will gladly accompany you, at least until you are done with the tower." She gratefully says and seems genuine.
GM Wolf
The booming voice returns, "Optional side quest: Vanquish the Hive. Defeat the Queen, kill the drones, and burn the eggs. The next wave will be waved and your bonus in the reward level will be doubled. This will not be a timed event, so you may spend as much time in this room before progressing. The orange and purple glowing stones should rejuvenate you well enough to complete the quest or boost you tomorrow after you have rested. Reward:
You may choose two of the following reward rooms:
Restorative room of healing: Greater Restoration.
Rejuvenation room: your spells or special abilities. The rejuvenation room would restore 1/2 of your spells or daily uses of specials.
Treasure room: one magical item fully identified and ready to use, no limits, and you can carry as much wealth that you can grab. Max gold piece value: 14,000."
Koldur of the Axe
Round 50
Ah noted on Bug AC.
"Interesting." Koldur remarks as the voice speaks up.
"I want that Greater Restoration and finally the treasure room in that order. How about the rest?" he asks his companions.
Raising his voice.
"Room, Can we make separate choices or must we all make the same ones." he asks.
"That side quest is interesting as well. Do we have nay other information on what this hive and queen is?"
Sense Motive 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
"Well Met Tessara Moonsage, We weren't aware that another party had entered these trials. From when and where did you enter? and I'm Koldur." he introduces himself as an afterthought. The adrenaline from the battle still coursing through his veins.
GM Wolf
"You will all get to make your own choices." The big voice says.
Ingvarr speaks up and says, "There could be anywhere up to 32 more drones and the Queen would likely be a stronger version of the king we just killed."
The voice agrees with Ingvarr, "Yes, the side rooms they have inhabited have destroyed my sensors. I dont know how many there are left."
Tessara nods to Koldur and replies with, "I have been lost here for about 3 months. We entered the bottom floor and I am one of the few survivors. Taking the tunnels just took time until the insects found us."
Sable Soren

"I am game, that will get us done faster or at least a better reward sooner. It also won't hurt making the tower like us." he points out. He bows to Tessara before walking over to an orange glowing stone then yells, "Hold up Yolanda, we need to determine if we are sleeping or not before we touch any more stones."
