*chuckle* well we might have some difficulties with that on account of the dragon being in fairly crap shape to start with and then us lighting it on fire.
Though I suppose if we want to finesse the system some the arcane necromancy spell Restore Corpse might give us half a chance at extracting armor from it.
As to Wallace being a sleazy business man? entirely possible. I mean he after all I designed him to be the social master/support character.
Though I doubt I could see him ever wearing such horrible things as gold plated shoes.
And without the massive black market empire to support him I figure wallace would be more of a snake oil salesman anyway.
"get your Dragon gall! fresh gall, good in soup, enhances the mind and puts that vigor back in your step to drive you to success! You sir! might I interest you in some fine eye of dragon? mystical enhancement said to improve your fate and bring luck in many methods perhaps even to find fortune or that special someone"

Imagine if the Odyssey had taken place in 1930s Mississippi and was a comedy. Lots of old music that I love.
Big rock candy mountain, O death...et
That's the most appropriate description of that movie, and a large part of why I loved it.

Huh, I'll have to make the effort to check it out soon then. That sounds like fun.
As to game I'm still a bit lost on where everything is, I'll make a post with my best guesses once I get off work tonight.
Mostly trying to figure if the clever plot I've got to mess up those ballisa with a well placed Lighting elemental bullrush would work or not.
Those little buggers get some rther insane bonuses to such actions wen the oppnent is made of or has some metal on them.
(And balista commonly have Iron or steel to reinforce and strengthen the frame of the weapon. Also need metal for the ratchet and crank.*)
*from my half remembered knowledge of medieval siege weapons that is.

*twitch*
Alright so how about this.
Maiathreen couldn't have made his action last round. Could we just say that he spent his previous round making an aerial 'run' in order to be within range this round?
I mean unless you have a better idea for adjudication of that Maiathreen.
Wallace's spell is kind of neutered by the extremes of range on this combat. But it can still be used, just requires some finessing.
But Rhavenna and Liviains actions seem to work as written.
This round would be Maiathreens previous action where he pitches the firebomb, as he was too far away to make the action last round.
Rhavenna and Livain can both move or keep shooting as desired.
Wallace is likely to retrieve his mount in order to actually get some movement rolling here.
Hrmm... Did wallace actually get off Rhavenna at any point?

Bout what I was expecting from your descriptions. Always awesome to be able to save on exposition and just show someone a picture when it comes to that sort of thing.
Though I get the feeling that your blatently evil looking knife is going to cause problems in this land.

Wallace Boyd |

Oh and I got This image when I looked for a properly aberrant centaur. Not eactly what I was looking for in my minds eye as for what Face of the Devourer does but definitely something I would not want to encounter in any setting, much less a dark corner.

Well...
That's concerning.
On the other hand the oversized crossbows are dealt with and any morale the remaining hobgolins had is now shattered.
Downside being that I give even odds that wallace summon is going to attempt to eat him by the end of this. That or fly out of range and cause havoc

Wallace Boyd |

Hey, hey. It hasn't attempted to kill him yet. Just like Rhavenna hasnt seen the spells effects yet and has yet to be filled with the desire to make wallaces insides his outsides.
At this moment in time things are great for wallace. We will have to see what doors open for him after this particular moment though.

Hopefully ones with escape ladders near by.

Sure if there was any patches of water to turn into ice. I suppose large patches of blood might provide some reflections but they'd be hard to see and unreliable.
The critter sucks the heat out of things so its would just be cold dirt and grass.
Well thst and any ice is likely gone thanks to the brush fire we just started.
Hrmm... this area is fairly overgrown isnt it? Think we might be in trouble if the fire keeps up. Of course the mountain terrain might limit it some.

DM Corerue |

The closer you are to the wellhead. The Safer you are. Office classified people, depending on what part of the Office spectrum you are in, tend to be cut first. But they have been laying off those close to the well head as well. So no one is safe atm.
I don't regret my decision as it's my hope they will relocate me to another group, with a drop in pay of course while Oil continues to fluctuate. Its a shame that many people have been cut already and I feel for their situation. So we will see how it turns out, myposting will be irregular as I make preparations in case the worst case scenario arrives.
Heres to hoping oil doesn't fall lower or else relocation to another group[ will be all but impossible. :/
Not to pour RL troubles on you all as we have all been there and some of us continue to struggle daily with one issue or another. I've been to four meetings this week that involved talking about cut backs and watching what happens to the market for the next 90 days and our work schedule going from full to Nothing in the first meeting. Not good. So lack of sleep has prevailed of course because I can't help but be bothered by whats happening.
The most shocking thing was that all the area's I had applied to over the years have taken a 80-85% cut in work force as they are now under a different operators control. This particular operation company runs Lean they don;t build kingdoms, require multi skilled divisions and aren't afraid to just fire you on the spot if you warrant it. They reduced a 200 man camp down to 44 within a week of taking over the facility.
So I am thankful my earlier attempts hadn't succeeeded or else I'd probably had met the chopping block... :/

@ rough times Mah, I'm sorry to hear all that much as I enjoy the fact I can actually afford to fill up my car on a twenty it sucks that it is making life harder on you.
Just keep us in the loop eh? Not much, just knowing that you are both alive and still have us in mind somewhere makes me satisfied.
Also
I would like to use a hero point to convert one of my remaining L1 spell slots into the spell: Remove Fear. that would be the mechanics. The fluff would be that Wallace is progressing the transformation he just enacted on Rhavenna with his spell: Face of the devourer. Making it more than just a skin deep mask. Giving her a small taste of the alien psychology such a creature as the mask she wears would have. I'd be cool with some mental stat damage feedback on Wallaces side of things to make it work if you're down.
Looks in Rhavenna's direction and grins.

Wallace Boyd |

@Rhavenna Huh. I just stumbled across an interesting fact. You have a trait that specifically gives you a +2 vs draconic frightful presence checks. Centaur vengance. That added with Wallaces +2 from inspire courage/flagbearer would mean you could simply spend a hero point to get a +4 and overcome the check.
Wallace doesn't even need to channel the powerful and unpredictable powers of his god to solve this problem. (Likely a very good thing I think.)
Which would mean you get to then make a full attack with your horrible horrible attack pattern of Sword/Sword/Hoof/Hoof/Bite

Movin |
Like I said earlier, lumberjack log cocoon. Emerging as a glorious flannel butterfly of doom.
Meh, I'm pretty sure Rhavenna is going to chuckle#$@#ing murder that dragon now. As the rules have aligned to let her get out of that mess by spending a single hero point (And avoid me getting to enact more non-euclidian spell madness)
Unfortunate we don't have the collective strength to keep that beast alive, it seems fairly concerned abut keeping its secrets and Wallace was so very interested in taking those away.
I have an idea that might work as a partial option though, keeping its corpse around for months just so Wallace could repeatedly cast Speak with Dead on it sounds annoying.
Fortunately Capture soul gem exists and depending on Corerue's opinion might be a viable target for a hero point boosted spell.
You guys can go right ahead and make armor and weapons out of this things corpse. I'm gonna get's me a Dragon Soulgem.
