Is hatch it and then raise it, taking leadership as a feat and getting it as a cohort an option? :)
Lucid wants to research why the egg would have corrupting power over the lizardmen. That makes no sense to him/me. Does he have any idea about that? Would Alustan? Do they think there is anything special about this egg, or is it just an every day, run-of-the-mill, dime a dozen black dragon egg?
| GM Fanguar |
Without spoiling too much, let's just say that raising a dragonling is not an option.
There is nothing particular about the egg that suggests it's special. The presence of the egg in the lizardman lair, is definitely unusual, so it is reasonable to be suspicious.
There are consequences to all the options I've presented, some are better than others, but none are truly terrible. Picking one over the others isn't going to make you miss out on anything, so don't worry about the right answer. The AP is written with the assumption that you just smash it when you find it.
I'm asking more for myself, since I have a couple of scenarios that can play out that I can weave into the narrative of the next adventure, depending on where the egg ends up.
On an unrelated note, if either Markus or Sverrir want to switch to the unchained versions of their classes, that's fine by me.
| GM Fanguar |
The unchained stuff is now up on the d20pfsrd site.
The egg doesn't radiate evil, but then again there HD limitations on evil. Most of what you've fought so far wouldn't have detected as evil. Also, black dragons are evil, so there is that.
As for Alustan, if you express your unease regarding the egg, he has the time and resources to fully investigate it. Marzena could help as well.
You guys will be off to the City of Greyhawk for the next couple of adventures.

Don't thank me til it fails the save. :) I really don't like these all or nothing spells but I can't "pit" it as it can fly and I can'g very well fireball it in the city… Seemed like the best option.

Btw settled on a rage power - one that compliments his "godless healing" stance:
Regenerative Vigour: After using her renewed vigor rage power until her current rage ends, the barbarian gains fast healing 1 for every 6 barbarian levels she has (maximum fast healing 3). She regains hit points from fast healing at the start of each of her turns.
One for the boss fights :)

Hello all! GM Fanguar has been nice enough to allow me to join your game. I'd never heard of Age of Worms before this, but I love Greyhawk and am looking forward to playing. To fill the gap, I will be your divine caster; a swashbuckling cleric. I already know that your dwur barbarian is looking for religion and I am happy to report that my character is the one to bring him over to the light side. Welcome to Lirr, goddess of Poetry, Prose, Art and Literature. Mwahahahaha!

Welcome Drayen and Trellar :)
If poetry is uttering drunken ramblings and literature is trying to write your name against an alley wall... then Sver might be interested lol. Otherwise he'll remain a staunch atheist :)

Yeah... think I was looking after that... Might need a rejig with the new line up and all.
Give me to the weekend to nail that down lads.

Get the guns fixed Markus! Good luck.
@ Lucid: No luck with the loot list sorry. Seem to remember we got shot of most of it?
Will need to trawl back through the OOC posts to check... standby :)

Markus the Librarian wrote:Every game I go to there's this post. What the hell?! Seriously, good luck!Quick heads up... I probably won't be posting tomorrow, bicep reattachment surgery. We'll see about after. Probably back Saturday.
Will do my best.
We're in a lot of games together?

Right - Lucid lit a fire under my arse, so I've updated the LOOT sheet accordingly - dropped out all the old stuff and juts from the lizard men onwards (effectively since we geared up).
The equipment is mostly unassigned (apart from a potion or two) so pretty much fair game. We're keeping the bulk of it for trade/sale? but I'm mindful some of it might be useful to our incoming priest :)

Markus, are you not gonna tell us how that happened? I have a friend who, while riding his motorcycle past a group of cute girls managed to lay it down, but did it most gently. He was not hurt and the bike barely so, but in his embarrassment he tried to jerk the bike back up quickly and tore his bicep loose.

Added some notes/recommendations to the loot list.

Telulah (new dog, 11 month pup) slipped her harness (on a spike outside) and ran off couple of doors down to harass 2 Pitbulls (luckily behind their fence).
In trying to catch her... a veritable 50lb cannonball moving in the opposite direction... I ruptured my left bicep distal tendon.
Surgery to reattach, last Friday, went OK.

Hey folks. Still dealing with moving and setting up my new place. Feel free to RP at the tavern. Things should be back to normal by the end of the week and I will get this adventure kicked up to high gear.
Also, just thinking about tearing a bicep is making me cringe. Glad to hear that the surgery went well.
