Not sure how this would work, but would it be possible to... call "try to trip" like we "try to flank"?

I can call it in the action description, roll... and you/DM/Fanguar can decide who it would most likely go against and who gets the +4 melee against prone?

Missing a lot is slowing us down! :)

I brought back maps, trip to your heart's content.

Okay guys LOOT SHEET is updated, but I've not assigned regained items (from our lost comrades) so feel free to grab stuff :)

As previous if we outline our intent for any kit and we can compromise if needbe?

There is a heap of loot in the laboratory and on the dead wizard, but I figured you wouldn't go nosing around until the golem was down. If no one wants/can do anything while it is in the pit, you guys can just set up optimal positioning and fight it when the spell wears off. It shouldn't pose too much of a threat, but it's not trivial enough to handwave around.

Male Half-Elf Paladin (Undead Scourge) of Phaulkon 5 HP 52/52 AC 21 FF 20 T 11 CMD 21 Init +4 Per +2

Wasn't sure how much more time we had. Otherwise we can whip out some more healing. Want to deal with the golem first before seeing what is in the lab.

The ring of protection and cloak of resistance seems like they should both be used.

So are we going after the golem or entering? Am a little confused by the in-game thread...

I reckon dealing with the rot construct is a better shout... then we can properly divvy up the gear and plan our attack?

Lucid will want to claim that Lesser rod of extend. He will also take the spell book, at leaf until he can copy the three spells in it that he does not know. Then it can be sold for party gold. Unless someone else want to use them he will wear the bracers of Armor +1 for now, but only so no one has to carry them. It will be rare she he does not have mage armor running now, especially with the rod of extend. So Lucid will recommend we sell the bracers as soon as we can get top gold for it.

That leaves the charisma item, which will likely help Senniki, and the shield which likely only Sverrir can or will use. Not sure he uses a shield now though.

Sver doesn't use a shield nowadays... been focussing more on slamming foes with his hammer 2-handed... but might have to revisit going forward as we meet more nasty foes. Probably won't hurt to carry it at the least!

All Lucid's choices are sound to me mate :)

Alright guys have trolled over the LOOT Sheet and updated based on comments and claims above.

Once we absolutely nail down whose getting what I play to remove them from the sheet - thinking is I'll update with items as we're gain things - the Loot Sheet will be a placeholder and as/when claimed they'll be removed onto the character's sheet.

Likewise if you cough up something or trade it up from loot (personal trades with merchants/NPCs or whatever are the character's business) - then we can re-introduce as potential trade/wealth/swag whatever :)

Thoughts on kit still unclaimed:

Senniki:

Cloak of Resistance +1
Potion of Shield of Faith
+1 Shortsword - would be prudent for all our scrappers to carry a magic weapon at present? Can swap out at the first opportunity?

Lucid:

MW Dagger
Heward's Handy Haversack - logic here is that Lucid is carrying a number of varied items (some plot), some arcane power based. Will be useful for him to have them available at a moment (also as a Halfling his carrying capacity is pretty low)... thoughts?

Markus:

MW Dagger
Potion of Shield of Faith
Circlet of Wisdom - will offset his lower WILL save?

Sverrir:

MW Greataxe
Potion of Cure Light Wounds x2 - as a godless heathen, divine healing is easier for him to swallow in potion form (figuratively and literally :)

Regardless we're overdue a visit to a trading post or we need to possibly try and offload some of this through various channels - criminal/arcane or whatnot...

Lucid takes another level of Wizard to no one's surprise.

His BAB and Saves do not change, but he does gain 2 feats (A normal feat and a wizard bonus feat), learns 2 third level spells, and the ability to cast three 3rd level spells a day.

Learned: Stinking Cloud and Fly. In case anyone is worried, he already had Haste in a book he had found. :) He also has Fireball and Halt Undead at that level.

Skill Points Gained: 7
Allocated:
Acrobatics: 1
Knowledge Arcana: 1
Perception: 1
Spellcraft: 1
Stealth: 3

For feats I am thinking Arcane Builder (Craft Wondrous 25% faster and at +4) for my wizard feat and Spell Focus Conjuration for my regular feat. Feedback would be appreciated, especially from the DM. If I am not going to have the chance to craft, then I have wasted 2 feats on crafting. And if, due to the nature of this AP, Spell Penetration is going to be important sooner, that would be a nice hint to drop. :)

Crafting should be mostly fine, there is some downtime between adventures, measured in weeks, not months. The AP timeframe does begin to accelerate as we get closer to the end. There will be 3-4 weeks downtime before the next part of the adventure kicks off.

As for spell penetration, it's going to start playing a bigger role from here on out, but usually there are only a few creatures in any given adventure that have SR.

Lucid, if you ever get to the point where you can do enlarge person, I have some Large Arrows in my efficient quiver in the javelin spot just for the occasion. Special occasions mainly. They will be in an extra dimensional spot when the enlarge hits me and then won't shrink after I shoot them since they are of appropriate size.[/ooc]

Leveling Senniki with a level a Paladin. Will be done with the update soon.

Access to Enlarge Person is not a problem. Its not in my book, but I could add it for 25 gold and scribing cost. Or I could just carry a few scrolls of it with me.

The problem is the full round casting time. When Mr. Wizard is enchanting arcane syllables in aloud clear voice and gesturing wildly while throwing about powered iron for 6 full seconds it usually attracts unwanted attention. :) And then there is the range thing. If I cast for a full round you need to stay in short range so I can "get" you with it.

I understand the large arrow tactic, having played a ranger up to level 13. The tactic is great for when we have time to buff. If you will purchase a scroll or two I will gladly apply said buff any time you request.

Whirlwind Attack is next... single attack, highest bonus against each enemy within reach. With a fauchard, that could be cool.

Thought is we sell and trade what we can?

Best idea is for a final check over of the loot - either claim anything that you see your character using and we'll then sell/trade what's unclaimed?

My thoughts on splitting it, is that if anyone has specific wish-list of items or whatnot we try and obtain them... am cool with pooling resources to help fund a special item for someone - but its a group call.

So - check loot (i'll also make sure its completed and edit in a sell/trade column) and make up wish+shopping-lists for everyone? Sound a plan gents?

3 weeks is a lot of time for crafting IF we have the coin to support it. He could make the goggles except he needs to be able to cast True Seeing. Eyes of the Eagle is within his reach though as it requires a 3rd level spell.

Let me know your crafting desires.

Also I do not know how to handle the loot sheet. I think earlier items and gold have been distributed, no? What I need is how much gold Lucid has for his cut right now. He recommends we sell the Bracers of Armor +1. The spell book9s) can be sold as well once Lucid has copied what he wants from them

What I'd like to do is to keep a running total of of what people have claimed with a sale price value for each. I that could help us make decisions on who should get what items and keep things more balanced. My only counter to that is that the Talisman of the Sphere should be counted as a party item that Lucid is carrying and hopes he never needs. :)

A final note is that perhaps we can melt down the Silver Holy Symbol of Lloth and not loose all its value. Unless it radiated evil even after its melted, lets not throw away silver.

Dwur Barbarian (Drunken Brute Invulnerable Rager) 8; AC: 18, Touch 11, FF 17; HP: 104/104; DR: 4/- ; Cold Resistance 1; Init: +1; Perception +10, Darkvision 90ft.; Fort +13 Ref +4 Will +4

Okay with that in mind I may well re-jig or revise the Loot Sheet to reflect the items value/etc.

I'm not one for overt number crunching but I'll try nail down the sale value for items (prices listed in rulebooks/SRD aren't sale value?)

Know mundane kit is trade/sale at half price - what about magic items??

@Lucid: Good shout on the holy symbol mate - if DM-Fang is cool with that? Was more to do with the symbolic destruction of evil deity symbols (we may want to have them destroyed?)

Cheers

Male Halfling Wizard 8 AC 20/16, Touch 14, FF 17/13 / HP 50/50 / F +7 R +8 W +11; +2 vs. fear / Init. +7 / Perc. +12

Except for trade goods. Gems and jewelry sell at full. Cows and horses do too. Art would likely sell at full (Paintings, tapestries, etc).

My tuesday night group handles treasure is a way I like. I'll list it for consideration here.

Everyone has a GP loot total they they have gotten from the party. Items found on the adventure are claimable for half price. A few things are allocated to the party and not a person (wands of healing, things like that Talisman of the Sphere, etc. ) Anything not claimed is sold. Whenever there is gold in the pot the person with the lowest total can spent it on an item they want. But then the full price of that item is added to their GP loot total. After that they could still be low, or they might have moved all the way to the top of the list. Regardless the next person can then spend some coin on an item, and so on until people are passing and there is not enough coin remaining to get what people want. They limit the max purchase to half again the top persons GP loot value. This lets people get nice items early, helping the party. I think its better than a strait division of what we find and seems pretty fair.

Dwur Barbarian (Drunken Brute Invulnerable Rager) 8; AC: 18, Touch 11, FF 17; HP: 104/104; DR: 4/- ; Cold Resistance 1; Init: +1; Perception +10, Darkvision 90ft.; Fort +13 Ref +4 Will +4

Sounds a plan. Okay I'll rejig the LOOT SHEET to reflect values and we can take it from there?

The rolling coin total of communal communism sounds a plan :)

@Sverrir: You can get enchantments added.

re:Phat Lewts: Loot is a bit of a mess right now, since we ran like 1 1/2 adventures with 6 PCs and now we are at 4 (and will remains so indefinitely). Level 5 might be a good time to handwave things to fix party WBL for the moment. At level 5 you should have 10.5K gp worth of gear and the like, so why don't you keep what you want, subtract the value of that from the total and just top up with whatever you want.

We can RP it as Lucid working his hands to the bone and some imprudent bartering on the part of traders, or what have you. (Deep in his cups Sverrir swears vengeance against Smenk and only one weapon will do, Sonesplitter, ancestral mattock of the Koltonn clan. Forged from the first iron ore mined by the forfather of the Koltonns, this ancient mattock is rough and pitted from centuries of tunneling. In the hands of one of the blood, it servers as a +1 mattock and through secret rituals known only to the family, it can be bound to the wielder, growing with power over time. No believing himself worthy of it, Stonesplitter has been moldering at the bottom of a chest in Sverrir's house since his father was killed.)

Anyways, this way we get a soft loot reset and it will be easier to keep track on stuff in the future.

We ok with this?

Sucks when you're trying to perform double duty... Tank & Skill-Monkey.

Basically, Markus has to choose between weapons/armor or utility items, but needs both so each will be mediocre.
