@ Living Greyhawk: From the beginning of that campaign I played multiple PCs from the Yeomanry, and due to business travel to California, one from the Kingdom of Nyrond. I traveled many times to the Gran March and was present for more than one major battle in that land, always fighting under the Yeomany banner. "Raise the Spear!" :)
Working hard here to create an interesting arcane caster. Soon...

1: Tell me the defining characteristics of your character.
* His dour outlook on life and his undying arrogance. Elvar is a serious person, bookish, critical and with a cynical outlook to life. Born and raised in Diamond Lake he's seen the worst humanity has to offer and he's not impressed, men will take advantage of the unwary and weak so Elvar has gone out of his way not to socialize with said people and keeps his guard up when he must deal with them (shopkeepers especially).
2: Do they have any family?
Yes. Born and raised in Diamond Lake his mother still resides there as well as his older brother and sister. His father ran off when he was ten, good riddance to the drunken gambler, his mother gets by as a cook in one of the mines, his sister is a debt collector for one of the local gambling halls and his brother has taken up his fathers trade of drinking and gambling though he claims to be a miner by trade.
His mothers brother runs a local bakery with his family, the only family member who can be said to have a lick of sense, and it was him who sponsored Elvar through his schooling as an architect.
3: Why do they want to get out of Diamond lake, i.e. why give up what they have to become an adventurer.
* Because there's nothing here for him. The jobs he's done for the local mine owners he's yet to be paid in full for, the clergy are better though stingier and that's about sums up the local clientele for an architect. Moving to a bigger city is about all he can think off but Elvar knows he's going to have a hard time getting in with any circles there so that leaves only one option; Adventuring. He'll need to come up with enough cash so he can set off his own projects, make name for himself and increase his reputation enough so that he won't have to make it into any circles, the circles should come to him.
Also, tell me why you want to play this particular AP
* Because it's the most applauded AP in my gaming circles and I've never had the chance to play it. Plain and simple. I've heard it's deadly and well written (extremely so in both cases) and am eager to try it out.

Ramos the Herald |

1: Tell me the defining characteristics of your character.
Ramos is a degenerate gambler though and though. He has been known to go without sleep for days on end when he is on hot streaks. Eventually they either culminate in pile of gold, or sleeping off his streak in an alley. Ramos, perhaps fool heartily trusts chance, and the will of his lord to see him though. He knows that everyone rolls a hard six eventually and his time will come, but until then, he is going to ride out the odds for as long as possible.
2: Do they have any family?
Ramos has a father (Alek Tharn) and a younger sister (Viera Tharn). They both live in Greyhawk City, though in different areas. Ramo's mother left while Viera was still a toddler. This was mostly due to Alek being an abusive alcoholic and a womanizer. Between his fathers occasional jobs and rampant benders, Ramos spent most of his time as a youth hustling rubes in fixed games of "chance" in order to earn a dinner for him and his sister.
3: Why do they want to get out of Diamond lake, i.e. why give up what they have to become an adventurer.
Please see my prologue.
Also, tell me why you want to play this particular AP
I'll be honest when I say that I don't know much about Age of Worms. However I heard nothing but good things about the three AP's that Paizo released while still under dungeon magazine, and I still have a Savage Tide sitting on my shelf at home waiting for the right group, so I think that AoW is going to be steller. That said, I am a long time D&D player, going as far back as 2nd edition's Ravenloft and Return to Tome of Horrors, and I still enjoy "classic" settings. Its for these reasons that I would like to take part in your campaign.
As I peered though the smoke of The Emporium I couldn't help but feel the odds and variables spinning around me. The man in the red shirt to my right was about to lose his next roll, and the woman two tables up had a brace of queens... I could hear the clicking of coins being counted and smell tobacco in the air. Lord Ralishaz, I know they call you The Unlooked For, but truly there is no better place in Oerth than a casino... I smile and look for a open table, not caring what type of game it is. Cards, dice... it doesn't matter, the act of betting is the worship, not the result. Expect luck to go your way and you will drive yourself insane. Luck can bring undone the best laid plans we make in this life, or overwhelm the most careful and cautious among us. It can also reward us beyond our wildest dreams. Only a fool does not respect chance. Sliding up to the open lakis table, I fish out several silvers from my coin pouch. "Put it on green 00" I state, and with a nod the dealer comply's. With a spin the table is clear and the ball rolling. "No more bets" states the dealer, ceremoniously waving his hand across the table to show bets are closed. Closing my eyes I listen for the click and clack of the steel ball as it slides along the pegs and notches of the table. Each random ping, like the tolling of a church bell to my lord. "Blue 24, Blue 24." Announces the man, sweeping up my coins. Shrugging I rise from the table and step away allowing another to take my place. I have said my prayers for the day and made my tithing. As I shoulder my way though the crowd and towards the exit I feel it again. I couldn't really describe what it is to you. But it's like the moment before the flop of the cards, or the second following the throw of a dice. Its the pause, the stillness of fate, like it can go either way. I'm supposed to be here, I just wish I knew why. I don't question it. That way is madness. I'm just along for the ride.

Tim Woodhams |

Submitting Mediocris. All the crunch is done but have been called away on work so its been done from my phone and will try to get the background done on the phone too.
1: Tell me the defining characteristic of your character:
Mediocris feels betrayed by his true parents and as result very loyal to those he considers his friends. He also like he is the outsider and doesn't belong. Currently he feels despondant having returned from serving to defend Diamond Lake to wonder if it was worth saving.
2: Do you have family?
Possibly his true parents are still alive otherwise his only family are the priests and priestesses of Istus.
3: Why do they want to leave Diamond Lake?
He wants to make difference in the world and having put his life on the line to protect his adopted town he has returned and seen the Avarice and corruption and is wondering if it was worth saving.
Why do you want to play this ap.
I really enjoyed shackled city when it came out but had to move away from town when my friends started age of worms, they said liked so been looking for an opportunity to play it.

Fished basic background now. Not mowing the setting well I have invented a war feel free to tell me to change this if it doesn't work.
Mediocris will be heading towards Eldrich Knight so will be taking wizard next level. He will firstly be a HP sink and buffing wizard (everyone not just himself) and secondly damage dealer .

Hi, here is Talia, Llaelian's ranger character. I've put my character and the answers to your questions in this alias for ease of reference. I've also updated the background according to the infos I could get on Diamond Lake.
