Farin: a couple questions.
Does the infiltrator natural AC bonus stack with an amulet of natural AC? At our level an amulet of natural AC is probably available and offers more potential.
You said you were a talent short, yet it seems to used the 15th level feat for extra talent. Are you still running short on a talent or feat?

Hey, I'm really sorry I disappeared for a couple days and haven't gotten Jorgan leveled yet. Crazy week. A couple of my students filed sexual harassment charges against another student and because they are underaged and touching was involved Child Protection Services had to be notified. What a mess.

Yes, the amulet and the adaption should stack (and I have an amulet +1 natural armor from the loot sheet).
And I am now longer short - I used my missing talent and my 15th feat to be able to move normally in difficult terrain.

Looks like they would stack as the Adaptation is just straight Natural armor (Temporary) while the amulet is an enhancement bonus to natural armor (Static).

            No chronicle for me.
So, thinking about party supplies...
20,000gp diamond dust for spells (limited wish, resurrection, restoration, etc)
8 Scrolls of identify
Scroll of legend lore
Wand of invisibility - for those rare times we need to be sneaky
Wand of bull’s strength - mostly for animal companions
Wand of natural armor (+4 or +5 would be nice)
6 pearls of power (1st level) - thinking these could mostly be used to power Alysendra’s shield of faith spells, which are pretty powerful, especially when applied to an animal companion that doesn’t have a deflection bonus.
Scroll of restoration
5 kegs of the best ale gold can buy
Individual suggestions: potions of fly, displacement, remove fear (we know there are dragons ahead), some sort of protection from lightning

That sounds like a good list to me. Fly and displacement were to two things I was considering as good to have. If we had enough, I would get a flying carpet, but even just a couple of potions/scrolls might be worthwhile.
I could also benefit from some sort of greater invisibility.
I'll take a chronicle! It may never be useful (currently level 5) given the new version of PFS coming soon, but why not have it on hand?

In other news, part of the reason I've been so busy is that my wife and I have started our own small farm. Totally different style of farming than I'm used to and there's a lot to learn. And I'm still helping out on the big family farm and teaching as well. Oh, and next weekend I'm picking up a new project car (52 Hudson Wasp) for my second restoration project. I guess I just hate free time or something.
I'd still like to stick this through to the end of book 6 if you'll have me. I'll probably have to retire the hobby after that though. This is the only game I've played in the last 6 months or so. I was doing pretty good for a while there but sometimes life just gets in the way.

That is cool. As a total cityslicker, I think that's pretty damn cool. Sure, start your own farm. Awesome.

Well, my family's been doing it for generations. But we've always been a large-scale dairy/grain farm (got out of dairy in 2000 though) so this direct-to-consumer vegetable stuff is a whole new ballgame for us.
Just be aware that especially over the next 2-3 months I might unexpectedly disappear for a few days as planting season starts to ramp up. I'll try to keep my disappearances as short as possible though and you know I always return eventually. I made it through planting and harvest last year and didn't miss too much.

In reading the info for Minderhal’s Forge again I realized it crafts items in half the time, so I calculate we only need 4 days with 3 of us working in shifts to produce the following things:
Upgrade Kraygan’s buckler to +3 (3 days - 8am-4pm) 2,500gp
+1 giant bane arrows (4 evenings - 4pm-12am) 4000gp
+1 dragon bane arrows (4 nights - 12am-8am) 4000gp
This saves us about 15000gp because arrows would be 1/2 cost and Kraygan wouldn’t need to sell/buy a new buckler at full cost.
Also, let’s make sure to upsize Aggrimosh to large for Jorgan to use with the steel hand, and downsize the hammer of thunderbolts for Kraygan.

More to the point, why would Wren care about killing a few humans, dwarves, and orcs while killing a bunch of giants? After all, all the humans, orcs, and dwarves are pretty much there to die...hmmm...
Obv, this is mostly a joke.

The castle was in a remote location but is quickly headed towards civilization as if flies over the mountains. As of right now it is remove, minus a few sparse villages.
Blowing the bomb early without figuring out how to disarm it is a tactic you can use. Though the bomb's blast may certainly kill you. Even if it doesn't the castle crashing down on top of you certainly will. The further out the blast is the less damage it does meaning that while you are probably dead, or near death the Storm Tyrant may or may not be.
I have done a little bit of research and some tables have set this off immediately for similar reasons. Some go good for the party, some go instant end of the campaign due to TPK. It all depends on the rolls and what you do with it once it is set into motion.
Definitely a difficult choice cause you may be fighting some wounded giants while you are severely wounded already.

Wren.

I'm not worried about us dying because that's what summons are for. And I think it's possible to get out of the castle before the blast goes off but having a hard time picturing all the ramifications from using a fire elemental to blow it while we escape.
Wren and others could fly and escape both the fall and the collapse, maybe, but also, not sure how the giants may or may not survive, but it would certainly stop the major threat: the castle's ability to fly anywhere to rain destruction down upon humanoidkind.
If anyone has any opinions beyond what Farin has offered, Wren will listen.

What are we above except the dwarf, human, orc, & giant armies? Are we above Korvosa or something? How big is the castle? Aren't we in the mountains away from most cities?
As of right now there are only small scarce villages below, though the castle is traveling, or rather building up to a high rate of speed as it heads towards civilization.
GM: how big is the bomb? Could it fit inside the giant bag of holding?
The bomb is all encased inside the shell of a giant spider (Medium). The sovereign glue can indeed be undone with the Universal Solvent you found back in Book one.
I would think the bomb would fit inside it, especially as you also found a giant bag of holding in Book 3. while tracking the Stone Giants.

Hope I am answering all of your questions. I am trying not to lead you in one way or the other.
You are, and this is an important part of the entire AP and confusing too boot.
So...things that I don't get yet are:
1) Is the main danger of the Storm Tyrant, the Tyrant himself or the Castle? I had thought that the true danger was the ability to drop giant troops from above at night into any city or town that humanoid kind could never resist. Seems to me that if we destroy the Castle, we stop that and make the war much more conventional.
2) How many giants are in the castle and if destroying the castle would kill most of them, then that's pretty good too? Right?
3) Is there a chance the bomb wouldn't destroy the castle? And cause it to go crashing to the ground?

GM Tyranius

            1) Mainly the Tyrant himself as he has the orb of dragonkind, weapons and army of giants backing him. The Castle is more of a tool he is using. Staying well out of range is his primary tactic but the Storm Tyrant definitely has a few backup plans. Though destroying the castle would definitely slow it down. Or you could take the Castle for yourselves. Dwarves Quest for Sky lol.
2) It is unknown at this time how many giants are in the castle. Likely well over 100.
3) Depends where the bombs explodes.

Alysendra

I think the explosion plus 20d6 falling should finish many of the giants, even if the storm king an the bigger giants survive. I agree we should be able to get out with the sue of summons and teleports, though. (Although... wait, isn't the castle shielded? I forget.)
Presumably, if the bomb explodes here, it will crash the mountain - otherwise it isn't much of a deterrent that the storm king can blow it up with his crown. So I'm having a hard time seeing the downside of blowing it up. Alysendra doesn't mind risking death for a good cause. But then, I've not played her from 1st level, so I will leave that decision to the longer-term players.
Tactically, I say "blow it up right now" unless the risk of TPK or the risk of all the giants surviving and us not is too high.
