This is just a reminder that I will be traveling a lot in December and unfortunately it is probably going to be a very rough posting month for me.
December 6-15: In Florida. First and last days (travel) I will not be able to update. In between I hope to have time every day but that will depend on my workload in the field (which should be pretty light most of the time actually).
December 22-31: In Hawaii with family. I will probably be unable to update the whole time I'm there and maybe for a day or two before and after as I have to travel to/from Indiana/Wisconsin as well.
Come January I should be a bit more stable, at least for a little while. I can't give any details yet but some time by April at the latest I might be going through a relocation and job/career change. This will of course temporarily disrupt my posting but I hope that after that I will be able to get back to a more steady routine with all of my PbP games.

Reminder to bot Jorgan as needed tomorrow, as I'll be traveling most of the day. Just have the elemental pop back up wherever appropriate and start swinging and Jorgan will either stay back or join melee as needed and as space allows.
A suggestion, aimed mostly at Wren right now, but something also to consider for Rogzul or even Jorgan at higher levels: we are fighting mostly oversized enemies with oversized loot. We have access to the forge to resize/meltdown/craft but without a quick way to get there using it isn't really practical. I think we need to consider some transportive magic - teleport should be possible for Wren now, wind walk for Rogzul soon, transport via plants for Jorgan eventually.
I won't be able to level up until I get back in January. Officially leaving on the 22nd but I have a busy day tomorrow doing early Christmases with the inlaws so you can probably start botting Jorgan now. Thanks and see you guys in a bit! Please don't kill Jorgan or Spirit while I'm gone, haha.

I got back in to Madison last night so hopefully I'll have Jorgan updated tonight.
Also, I just told my professor I'm leaving the program early. He wasn't totally surprised. I'm not sure yet how long that process will take (whether it'll just be some paperwork and I'm gone in a week or if my committee requires something else that takes a couple months). Either way, it's a weight off my shoulders.
But over the next 3-4 months we've got a lot going on trying to sell our house in Madison, move back to Indiana, and find/start new jobs.

I am running 07-27 Beyond Azlant Ridge (levels 3-7). Currently I have two players (one of whom is Torgan) so head on over if you are interested. I'm planning to start it next week.

Remember how I said I expected the leaving process to take a couple months? Well, my professor decided he didn't need my help finishing our winter season and furthermore wants me gone by the end of the month so he doesn't have to pay my spring tuition.
So... I'm having to transition a lot sooner than I thought. We've been taking pictures of the house to get it on the market and then packing up all weekend to take the first load of stuff back to Indiana. We'll be there for an extended weekend painting, moving stuff, and getting the house ready.
That was awful nice of the professor. :(
Indeed... last summer when I discussed the possibility of me leaving he mentioned that if I graduated early but needed a paycheck for a few more months while Becca finished her job he could take me on as a lab manager or something. But that seems to have changed. I told him we're not moving until early April and he said, "Great. Let's get you out of here by the end of January." Oh well. I'll be busy making a few trips back and forth to the new house over the next couple months anyways.

Regarding Wren's last post containing the link to "A Real Hero" from the Drive soundtrack. From that song alone I've put Drive on my list of films to see ASAP.
On a tangent, 2 degrees separated, has everyone heard that Blade Runner 2049 is coming out later this year? Starring Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling.
Start of the semester schedule shake up left me with very little time to post this weekend. I'll have something in by tonight, sorry for the delay.
I loved original Blade Runner, so I hope its good.
As for the movie Drive, I've never seen it. Any good?
Just got back! I was hoping to have time to update once or twice but we were painting nearly every waking hour. But we got the entire house painted including ceilings. Lots o' work. Now we just need to finishing moving but we've got a few months to accomplish that.
I've caught up reading the gameplay, I'll post tomorrow or whenever my next turn comes around.
@Tyranius: you haven't seen Blade Runner? Ok, you need to drop everything and go do that. It's in my top 3 films of all time.

Unexpected trip home Thursday night to work all day yesterday. Should have time to update later today.
Now that I'm done with school/lab work, I will have lots more time punctuated with unannounced trips home to work on the farm during which I won't have much time at all. I'll try to warn you when I have to leave but on Thursday I was only given a few hours notice that I was needed the next day.
I second that question, even using shortcuts for the code has been problematic for me.

iPhone posting tips:
1. Composing. I suggest using the Notes app. It is easier to edit text there instead of a web browser and you can compose a post a little bit at time without worrying about a safari page reloading on a partial post. The talk to text seems to work better in Notes too.
2. Shortcuts. You can set up a shortcut for almost anything. I have shortcuts for almost every code option, even bold and italics. I've even created shortcuts for specific attacks, though I don't use them often. Another option is creating code templates in the Notes app, then copy-pasting them into new notes as needed.
3. Rules reference: I use the PF reference app from Ufisk. It costs about a dollar a book, but is well worth it. It has a fast and accurate search option, the ability to bookmark, and embedded hot links to navigate quickly to other sections.
4. PDF management: I've got a PDF reader, but I mostly use it to unzip paizo PDFs for use in the native iBooks app. An iPhone's resolution is good enough to take screenshots of images from PDFs too, and there are other apps that can edit them further.
5. Maps: Google slides app can handle basic creation and editing. It's great for putting up images too.

Also, if you have gmail, keep your combat posts there in drafts. That way you can access them from Ipad/Iphone/PC. Even if you can't access the Paizo site from work, you can probably edit emails, then use your phone to copy/paste.

Yup. I did a lot of the shortcuts already and the majority of the rest. Just typing into it all was a pain.
I will definitely try the notepad though as the only problem seems to be with editing.
I have the shortcuts, rules reference there is an app for already on iOS and PDF's have iBooks.
Unfortunately no Wayfinder for iOS. :( Or at least that I have seen. It is all doable. Just a pain.
Though I did now find a Panera Bread and am creeping in their parking lot while they close the shop up.
So Tyranius, apparently the website I use to maintain my character sheet was forced to roll back to July 25, 2016, and anything afterward is just considered lost, so Rogzul's character sheet is currently sitting at level 9. I will update my inventory and stats as soon as possible but at the moment if anything looks odd, that might be why. Thankfully almost all relevant data is on the paizo profile and the level up posts so it's not too big of a project, unfortunately I can't say that for all the other sheets that have been rolled back too.
Just thought it'd be a good idea to give you a heads up. (And yes, I'll be finding a different way to maintain my sheet electronically.)

I suggest google drive. It's free with a gmail account. Also, emailing yourself an updated sheet upon leveling might be helpful.
Out of curiosity, what site were you using?
I'm guessing MythWeavers, since they just had a bit data loss recently.
I've used MythWeathers a bit. There are some things I really like it about actually, like much greater customization of text and addition of pictures, etc directly in posts, not to mention really fancy dice rolling options and hover-over options to hide your dice rolls. But... there is a simplicity to the Paizo boards here that is also kind of nice. MythWeavers has a pretty strong learning curve and is maybe a bit harder to navigate.
That sucks Rogzul. Best of luck to you as that is going to be quite the endeavor getting all of your characters back.
I checked out Mythweavers a couple times. Couldn't really find any games, but maybe it was just a lull in game recruiting.
Their PFS community is definitely not as big as the boards here (at least not about 2 years ago when I was using MW), although we have a MW-specific VO now so maybe it has picked up a bit.
Of course, I created the Flaxseed Lodge because I think the Paizo recruiting page is a confusing mess but I still think it's 10x better than the Mythweavers recruiting page.
In short, I think the Paizo boards are better for PFS and/or Pathfinder because there's a big community and it's easy to get new players started (very small learning curve) but if I'm going to play any other system (especially for a long campaign), I'd probably use Mythweavers. In fact, that's what I was using it for. I ran an introductory scenario of Shadows of Esteren and a campaign of The One Ring that lasted for about 6-8 months.
