Regarding healing supplies, Kraygan bought 2 wands of CLW that never made it into the loot sheet. I have added them now, along with a note for when they were purchased. On a side note we also have a wand of endure elements, 5 scrolls of carry companion, and 5 oils of carry companion which were bought at the same time.

Ok, got Jorgan leveled. Decided to take another level of Mammoth Rider and might do that for a while. I was only going to do a one-level dip so as not to delay Jorgan's spellcasting but his casting is weak already so I think it's better to get a straight BAB for a while and get Spirit buffed up a bit. Hopefully that works out.

I'll get updated in the Gameplay later today.

Hey Wrenlings--

I'm headed down to Mexico for the next 9 days. Since it's the beachy, resorty part, they offer and should have ample wifi and whatnot. However, there are no guarantees, like some orange baboon erecting an expensive and entirely unnecessary digital wall to keep internet traffic from going to and fro Mexico...

...anyhoot, if I fail to post in a timely manner, feel free to GMPC me.

Total of Equalizing Payments: 44,500 GP

This can be divided amongst the party with my proposal of 10,000 GP spent on party healing items: Wand of CLWs or higher; Scroll of Raise Dead (or two); Scrolls of Restoration (or two).

This means the remaining money is divided and each person receives an additional 39,514 GP.

Torgan, thanks for doing this.

Ooh, I think we're going to need to double/triple the amount for healing. You guys are damage piñatas and fire giants are freakin' fire giants.

I'm not sure getting 10 wands of CLW will be enough...we'll need 15 to 20. Let alone more things of Restoration & Remove various stankiness scrolls.

How about an extra 5000 gp from each of us towards curatives and restorative? 35,000 total to spend? About 15 wands of CLW, 1 raise dead, 1 raise yak, and a slew of various restorations and whatnot?

Epic Drunk | HP 186/186 | AC 33 T 14 FF 31 | CMD 37 (39 vs Trip/Sunder, 43 vs Trip if standing on the ground) | Fort +24 Ref +12 Will +10 (+4 poison/spells/SLA) | Init +2 | Perc +12

I'm looking through the loot right now and I'm seeing a few things marked fore sale that I'd like to address.

Kraygan claimed the drinking horn of bottomless valor, the two javelins of lightning, the belt of thunderous charging, and the manual of war. He's putting up for sale his old belt of strength +4 and a ring of protection +1.

We should probably keep the second bag of holding IV. We are constantly finding giant loot.

I think we should keep the insistent doorknocker. Passwall 1/day could help us circumvent problems and get the yaks past obstacles.

Does Wren really have no interest in the staff of frost? (Chances seem good we'll come across fire giants)

The giant nail scale armor - Rogzul is no longer wearing it. I propose we sell it.

The sapling rod - I propose we sell it and put the gains towards healing items we'll actually remember to use.

We have treasure, random items, and some potions and scrolls we could probably sell in the "storehouse" tab of the loot list.

Regarding HEALING:

I agree we could use more then 10,000 in healing items. A bunch of CLW wands is efficient outside of combat, but we need to start considering damage management in combat, which requires the ability to heal large amounts quickly. Let me price some options out.

10 wands of cure light wounds 7500
2 scrolls of restoration 1400
1 scroll of raise dead 6,125
Staff of healing (cure serious wounds and lesser restoration at 1 charge each might be worth the cost) 29,600
First aid gloves (limited charges, but multiple options, one of which is breath of life!) 4500

By the way, I don't know what spell capability Rogzul has, but breath of life is on the normal shaman list. Using that at the right time can save us thousands of gold (5000 for raise dead + 2000 for 2 restoration spells to restore negative levels) and a lot of time (restoring permanent level drain can only be done 1/week).

Liberty's Edge

M Elf Age: 252 or so

Yes yes, Wren is taking the Staff of Frost as well as the Blazing Robe. Marked duly on the treasure sheet.

I like the changes and suggestions, Kray-Kray, but do think we need more wands. And more scrolls of Restoration. Freakin' Torgan was winded, tired, and whiny all the up and down that last mountain and would prefer to avoid that in the future.

Epic Drunk | HP 186/186 | AC 33 T 14 FF 31 | CMD 37 (39 vs Trip/Sunder, 43 vs Trip if standing on the ground) | Fort +24 Ref +12 Will +10 (+4 poison/spells/SLA) | Init +2 | Perc +12

A staff of healing would fill the gap between healing wands and combat healing, plus it would offer lesser restoration as an option.

Torgan was tired the whole time because we kept forgetting that Rogzul could restore him - he offered at one point to do it. Plus we have 3 scrolls and 1 potion of lesser restoration in our loot list that went ignored.

Epic Drunk | HP 186/186 | AC 33 T 14 FF 31 | CMD 37 (39 vs Trip/Sunder, 43 vs Trip if standing on the ground) | Fort +24 Ref +12 Will +10 (+4 poison/spells/SLA) | Init +2 | Perc +12

It wouldn't hurt to have a couple of the following to manage healing/conditions/effects:

Remove curse
Remove disease
Remove blindness
Remove sickness (Kraygan is buying a few of these)
Invigorate (Kraygan is buying a few of these too)

12.5 hours in 16 degree weather but I'm checking in anyways! (You're welcome, Wren!)

Regarding healing: Wren mentioned briefly "raise yak" but Jorgan can cast raise animal companion at will now by taking a negative level for himself. So really we just need to worry about having some extra restorations around in case he has to use it.

I will figure out what I want to do with Jorgan's share later. I'll be back in Wisconsin by tomorrow afternoon so maybe then. It will most likely involve getting Spirit new armor and buffing Jorgan's AC as well. Or maybe a cloak of displacement...

Seems like a few people would like more healing and I am reticent to offer up 30,000 GP for the Staff of Healing when we just really want CSW and Lesser Restoration. Why not get a Wand of each instead for a total of 15,750? I doubt we will go through 50 charges of each in the rest of the AP, I dunno maybe we will, but it seems more cost-effective than a staff that we can only pump up with one charge a day.

Based off those two wands, ten CLW wands, two Restoration scrolls and one Raise Dead scroll.

GM:
I was going through what I want to spend my gold on and I was thinking that a custom item (slot of your choice) could cast the spell Instant Enemy twice per day. This would allow me to pick other, non-combat third and fourth level spells, while maintaining the combat power of the ranger.

For two charges, it looks like it is 3 (spell level) x 10 (caster level) x 1800 x 2/5 (2 charges) = 21,600 GP. With the Forge, it would be 10,800 GP. Thoughts?

Esteemed Cousin of Wren

The fourth wall of the forge is blasted open by a giant club. As a muscular elf in hide armor stands proudly in the hole. A wolf stands at his back. "Mogg smash!" he yells happily at the rubble.

With a glance at Wren, he yells. "Cousin! I heard you needed help!" His glance sees Torgan about to be crushed by the giantess and he slowly back away. "Oh, he's not dead yet. Call me when he is!" Mogg adds as he disappears from sight.

All for you Wren!

Any suggestions?

@GM: What item slots do the animals have? I was thinking an item or two for Spirit wouldn't be a bad idea but I wasn't sure what slots they start out with as there's that "Extra Slot" feat for companions and in PFS I think it's limited in some way.

Torgan:
That sounds fine to me. What slot are you looking at creating into? I was thinking some sort of eyepiece / goggles that allows you to view your hated enemy.

@Jorgan- Normally animal companions are pretty limited to barding (armor) and a neck slot. The extra slot feat opens up things like belt, ring, gloves, goggle, ect. As long as it has the anatomy.

Consider again about going huge with Spirit? We have cloggage enough with the yakkenpede and so something to adjust his size might be keen: though not sure it exists.

Or push that money into some flying, eh?

CLoggage is becoming a problem. I've been searching, without luck, for an item that would grant fly to Haggis. I've decided not to go with Mammoth Rider to keep him large so that Wren can provide an elven yakball special when needed.

@Jorgan: I believe that weapons, armors, and shields can be "bought" at cost (50% sale value) because of the forge. Trading up +3 armor to a different type of +3 armor should only cost the difference between the base armor cost. So, if a mithril shirt is 1100, and mithril breastplate is 4200, the difference (and upgrade cost) is 3200 gold.

A question for everyone: does someone have the craft wonderous item feat?

GM Tyr, is there a town nearby that Wren can T-port to over the next few days to buy some scrolls or a freakin' used spellbook or something? I'm still running on only Wren's bonus spells per level and might be nice to have some variety.

-3,500 upgrade Jorgan's armor to +4

Ok, I think that's all good now. I'll toss the rest back into the party fund if we want to buy another wand or more backup healing-type scrolls or something like that.

Now you guys are going to clog up my air space too? I'm gonna need a longer spear.

Re:Torgan to stubborn to take restoration. Rog doesn't care enough about Torgans pride to not cast it on him, so we can just assume in the future.

Having some issues with longer posts on mobile will have some purchase thoughts when I get home tonight.

-16000 Belt of Giants Strength +4

2983 left over for whatever plus 3k I had just sitting on me anyway. So thats 5k I can offer toward more healing or anything that might help unclog our melee area, maybe some winged boots?

@Kraygan I can't use my flight hex on anything else, but I do have five 3rd level spells per day plus my 3rd level pearl of power and fly is on my spell list. If you need me to cast it on Haggis I can, unfortunately I haven't been able to find some other way to make your mount fly otherwise.

Sweet! This could reduce costs for both Jorgan and Rogzul I think.

@Wren: Spell suggestions
Resist energy, communal
Protection from energy, communal
Greater heroism
Mages sword
Limited wish (expensive at 1500 gold per casting, but extremely versatile - can be used to duplicate the effects of any wizard spell level 6 or lower for those times when a specific spell is called for but we either don't know it or have it memorized. It can also duplicate ANY non-wizard spell level 5 or lower, such as healing/restoration or some random spell we might need, such as the consecrate spell we needed to deal with that one haunt attached to the door in the last dungeon)

Spells that might be useful:
Mages magnificent mansion
Giant form I

Spell that would be awesome:
Transformation - this combined with giant form I could make Wren a badass archer for a short time.

-First round of Healing Bonanza is in the Storehouse

Remaining Gold per Person after Listed Purchases:

Wren - 19,548 GP
Torgan - 1,183 GP

Torgan's Recommendations Based of Armory Loot (If it's not on there, then you don't got it!):

Kraygan:
Upgrades to Gorum's Thorn (Giant-Bane, +X, Vorpal)
A Belt of Strength of some sort (+6 to Str or +4 to Str and Con) [How do you not have one yet?]
Upgrade to Haggis - Horseshoes of Speed; AoMF +x

Wren:
Custom Goggles to make everyone look and smell like elves - Goggles of Alter Everyone Else
[Honestly, I don't know. Wizards don't need gear, especially at this level! Maybe archery related stuff? More Pearls of Power for 5th level and higher?]

Jorgan:
Better Belts for Jorgan and Spirit
Upgrade to Heartspit (+X; Dancing)
Upgrade to Rod of Giant Summoning

Rogzul:
Generic Upgrades to your existing gear?
[Again. 9th level spellcasters don't really need much besides numerical bonuses... :(]

I'm working on upgrades and purchases now. Don't think I can add anything to Gorum's Thorn since this is a giant's magical forge and I don't see Gorum approving.

Kraygan's Upgrades:
+3 benevolent adamantine full plate of lesser righteousness (add +1 - 3500, add fire resistance - 9000)
Belt of thunderous charging (upgrade to physical might +4 str/con - 15000)
+2 cloak of resistance (add +1 - 2500)
+1 dwarven waraxe (add furious - 3000)
+1 lance (add +1 - 3000)
+1 chain shirt barding for Haggis (add +1 - 1500)

Total 37500

Hopefully I did all the math right this time and have Jorgan ready to go. Hopefully he's a bit more combat-ready now. If only we can make the room for all these dwarves and beasts....
