About AlysendraDescription:
Alysendra is a middle-aged Varisian woman with untamed raven hair. Her skin is deeply tanned from a lifetime spent on the road, and she bears several scars on her arms and back. She bears a blue butterfly tattoo on the palm of each hand, as well as various other tattoos of Varisian origin. Alysendra's story:
Born in the shadow of the Mindspin Mountains, Alysendra's parents were Varisian hunters who shunned the communal lifestyle of their people. Always on the move in the no-man's-land between Nirmathis, Lastwall, and the Hold of Belkzen, Alysendra heard the call of the horizon at an early age. Her parents taught her what they could of the Tender of Dreams, but it wasn't until a chance encounter with a priest of Desna that she realized her life's course.
At age 15, her father became ill and unable to travel, and her mother left rather than being burdened by him. Alysendra stayed with him and took him to the village of Trunau, keeping him comfortable in his final days. When Trunau was attacked, Alsyendra had already moved on, alone on the road, but when she heard the news she returned to offer what help she could. As the giant uprising grew, she fought for the people who had tended her father, and studied the giants to better combat them. While she owes no allegiance to any nation, she views the giants as an evil that must be stopped for the good of all. She has evolved away from the "travel light" mentality of her parents, recognizing the value of heavy armor and proper equipment when battling a well-prepared and dangerous foe. stats:

Spells A lillend casts spells as a 7th-level bard. They favor enchantment and healing spells. Among the azatas, lillends are the tale-tellers and chroniclers, gathering lore and recording stories in the form of epic poems and songs. They are generally peaceful, though they are swift to act if they believe a piece of rare art or a talented artist is threatened. A lillend's lower section is about 20 feet long, and a typical lillend weighs 3,800 pounds. Although they have no need of mortal nourishment, it is said that lillends sup on the joy of music, art, and performance. They also love unspoiled wilderness and seek out places in the mortal realm that remind them of the beauty of their home plane. From the lore of numerous races come tales of these muses, particularly those that have taken a vested interest in the training of a single talented prodigy or the ongoing creation of some fantastic work of art. Such legends sometimes prove true, as all lillends have their favorite works, creations, and artists, and often visit the Material Plane to enjoy their splendor and make sure they remain safe. In the defense of such beauty, lillends prove passionate foes, calling upon the might of nearby allies or crushing philistines in their striking but deadly coils. |
