I just feel this has become a Dungeon crawl and I'm not really into that kind of game.

1:Kick door open, 2:fight things, 3: rest, 4: repeat....

I Just find it dull and a little frustrating to be honest.

Outside we are talk are spaceships, clones, Mechs, locals, aliens and a whole planet. Where did that all go?? the last 6 mouths has been fighting skeletons traps and now BATS!!

I hope you see my point here, this really dos feel like Gary Gygax running a space game.

So I'm going to place my PCs actions on hold until we have more
1: More PCs - we need min 2 more
2: What the game was advertised as - a low/high tech world to explore.

Sorry if this comes over harshly but I am kind of sick of the Dungeon crawl big time, and I don't think I'm the only one.

THE entrance, as in the one, above on floor one, the main entrance to his whole complex of doom, or the one we came through to get to level 2?? or the door to this room?? or another door, So many doors. kick in the door kill every thing in it, rest, kick in the .....

Whats is lacing here is clarity. I think where a lot more in the dark as players about what's going on then you realise GM. Right now I feel lost. What NPCs are left, where are they and how do we know what they have on them. Can we go back after resetting Taps, do they have to untrap the traps to get to us then reset them, the reset the all again. or will the NPCs come to us, Will they get past the green man/robots other stuff still around. Why are not the NPCs with us, we are looking for a way out right. Do we have to send weeks and week doing the simplest Dungeon bash stuff. over and over again??? frustration is what I am feeling right now. That is not a good feeling to have in a game, it stops being fun. In fact right now this game is not fun any more because I have NO idea what we are doing or why any more.

could we just find out where every one is, why are are doing things and how we can speed this whole thing up past kicking in doors and taking names.

Hey guys, this is The Kommandar, Claptrap, Midiotoziggeroto, Alex Armstrong, Moneez here.
First a little bit. I struggle with Bi-Polar depression, i have my entire life and i still have not managed to gain any lasting stability in my 25 years of fighting with it.
Over the last while, more then a month i believe, it has taken a turn for the worst, it has gone downhill tremendiously and chaoticly.
I lost the ability to do many things, including most of the things i enjoy, like pathfinder. I am just simply unable to do them right now. Its too overwhelming.
I also have been wanting to write this a long time ago, but had the same issue. sorry it has taken so long.
Anyways, i do not see me being able to continue playing this for the immediate future so i am going on hiatus for a while, while i focus on my life.
I truly wish that i can come back to this sometime, i was having so much fun with my teleporting Midioto, my crazy robot with a few screws loose and my goblin general. I only hope that when that comes i might be able to rejoin, or create new stories with you guys.

Posting this in all my games, both run and played in.

As you all know, I've been rather busy and traveling a lot lately. This is going to continue for awhile. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up the posts. It's now confirmed I'll be going on an overseas job for 6 weeks at the end of August, coming back early October. I will hopefully be able to continue posting, but wanted to give advance warning.

I'll be 11 or 12 hours off my normal schedule, as I'm going literally to the other side of the planet. :) First trip to this area, so I'm not sure what the internet will be like, or even if I can get to Paizo. Right so back to the problem of no posts when I'm awake then suddenly 14 out in the middle of the night. Hard for me to contribute to most conversations. What I'll do for now is follow the party about and you can ask if you need a shapeshifter to do something. (Animals or humanoid). I'll roll out and plan a few turns in advance for combat so even if you shoot past me in posts I'll have some turns cooked up.

I don't mind being left out of the investigation for now, I'll make up for it in towns where players won't need to wait on my replies.

I used Race builder for Annara but GM wolf set a limit on Points this meant I could only use Advanced Ability Score Racial Traits:
+4 Dexterity, +4 Intelligence, and –2 Constitution. On rolled stats.

I was lucky on rolls getting

so you can see where her Dex22 and Int20

That could do it on top of the + 2 to all stats, but thats 4 RP points per stat and would place the Race Build at 6x4 Rp points 24 + Advanced Ability Score Racial Traits +4RP making 28 points before magic and shape changing. The Race would be up at the 40+ RP build points by the end, Devil/Demon level or CL 3+

so you can see just wanting to know how it was done.

Crashlanding before that being chased by space marines, their loaders and snipers.

Then the most awesome entrance with a full cargo ship being shot down, looted and the original PCs having to sort and survive somehow.

It would be best if you could get me some clues... Mr. Fox! Perhaps you could come in with Sedoriku/Senva the Female Fecthling. I have her entrance rolling around in my head, two oracles don't make a right! LOL. Once you both discuss a few details about your recenty history, hopefully neccessary friends or something better and come up with a good reason you are down there and she is coming up here. Etc.


@Lord Foul 2 Greater Kitsune? & Aannra:
Please understand that I have been out of it that I may have slipped a bit on really vetting the Animal Lord race. Honestly Lord Foul I don't see how that build is a +2 to CR. Also this is why I am typically wary of 3rd party information. With this game I have been becoming rather lienent with what goes on in game making most of the races close to core, if you choose to go a bit more flashy that is fine which is why I was cool with your supernatural abilities.

Wombat/Aannra does bring up a good point of your ability scores. Now if you take the base creature bonuses, 'Fox' which its bonuses in ability scores would be Dex and Con but I think you half to take the penalties as well which for a fox would be -4 str and -6 cha. What I would suggest is to take the 'Kitsume' ability array: +2 Dexterity, +2 Charisma, –2 Strength with a +4 on one ability score such as wisdom since foxes are known for their wits and such.

Oh and one other thing I need a general blurb of where your race comes from, affinities, so and so forth. If that does not make sense look at any of the race entries in the Core Book.

Not trying to make this hard, but more making it fair and so I can get a read on the race for when I put in a gang of them on Pandora or a stray. Trust me the group is going to hate it when they find a group of zombified Imakandi.

For some reason this post made me think of using the magical equivalent of dynamite and accidentally finding (read "exploding") our way into the crypt. Though I don't know why we would...

On a different note, profile is finished; although, I may change her avatar.


I don't have a problem with it, just come up with a few paragraphs entailing: why you know each other, your relationship, why you are exploding the wall. I have many ideas but will let the two of you come up with it. If you need help I am here.

Michel Tam and Senva you need to explain in your background why you are a 3rd level character. Just another section, XD.

Michel Tam where do you come from, since you are so anxious to start why don't you finish your background. Otherwise you can't join.

Senva please make a blurb about your people like Michel and others who made a race should have done. Use one of the races in the core book as an example of what I am looking for.

Animal lord says "take the better" of the two base races, foxes and kitsune there are two ways to interprate that and I chose the way that ended up with the lower of the two scores, treating the 17 dex as a 17 instead of a +6, and not useing any of the others
That 17 replaced my roll of 14
It then increases all stats by 4, which we bumped down to two,
I also got scent, some natural armor, some DR and the ability to talk to and charm canines
As a note, animal lord isn't 3rd party, it's in the beastiary 3 book

As for background of the race, I was thinking that essentially , greater kitsune are to kitsune, what noble drow are to drow, about a 1/10 chance, with being born to a greater kitsune bringing it to about 3/10 for one parent 5/10 for two

So the three of us came to the planet, intent of lubricating, conning, and otherwise prying every loose coin out of the Vault hunters, The brother is an alchemist and works the bar, the sister dances and entices (for the sake of "why not" let's say bard/ninja for her), and does various odd jobs around the place, doing shifts switching off with me at the front desk to get people in rooms
The three of them had been doing this for about three months, when Michel got bored, really he got bored during the first month, but between practicing his music to entertain guests, and listening to their stories, he found ways to entertain himself, but Michel always had too much wonderlust to be cooped up in one place for so long, and eventually he decided to set off and join an adventuring party fighting evil and searching for the vault

Yep that's why it getting such high level Ability from the Base creature and the Humanoid base combined.

In your case, DR10 is big, in race builder that's about 12 RPs just there. Then add speed, attacks, Defensive Abilities, Melee, Animal lords use the higher ability score between the base creature and the base animal as their base ability scores, then increase all of these ability scores by +4 [+2 in your case] the one given for

CR: Same as the base creature or the base animal (whichever is higher) +2 so unless your starting with a 0PC and 0CL Animal its +2CL

So your CR is 2.25 if it is the case still baking the outline of MAX CR2

If it was me I would cut this down a little or use race builder to match levels with the others PCs in game. I tweaked Kitsune with +2Cha and +2dex would make a good base for a Greater Kitsune with out the lord levels. Then add in some of the Lord ability's. Like Change parts of its body and permanently being able to talk to Canines, with some move stuff and sent. Kitsune also has a load of adding things from race that can be added beyond the normal. Honestly I sometimes feel like Velden is the most underpowered character in this game (short of being a claptrap).

No dozens of eridani artifacts.

No enhanced energy weapons.

No ability to transform into other things.

No GMPC super powers.

Just a plain old half-elf archer with pretty pedestrian equipment.

As I said its a temples for 10HD or more, even with +2 its hitting 40+ RP in the race builder. But if the GM says its fine, then I'm fine with that. :0)

Also I think you may have made a little mistake with your gestalt build for him.

In this high-powered campaign variant, characters essentially take two classes at every level, choosing the best aspects of each. The process is similar to multiclassing, except that characters gain the full benefits of each class at each level. if the two classes you choose have aspects that overlap (such as Hit Dice, attack progression, saves, and class features common to more than one class), you choose the better aspect. The gestalt character retains all aspects that don’t overlap.

You have Michel Tam with 4 Bonus feats and 45 Skill ranks spent.
I think you added feats from both sides that overlap for levels and same with skills. So he should have just 2 Bonus feats for 1st and 3ed and not 2+2 as you have him, and the higher of the two classes in skill ranks, Not both sides. And remember, its HP or Skill point for each level is Favoured class not both.

Class Skills
Take the number of skill points gained per level from whichever class grants more skill points, and consider any skill on either class list as a class skill for the gestalt character. For example, a gestalt barbarian/bard would gain skill points per level equal to 6 + Int modifier (and have four times this amount at 1st level), arid can purchase skills from both the barbarian and bard lists as class skills.

That's Bard in Michel Tam's case, 6+int = 30 for you not 45, simple mistake to make.

You could have it work as a laser sight that adds to your to hit and damage, possibly even blinding the target by stealing the light around them (maybe using the playtest Heavens shaman's enveloping void hex rules). Just an idea though.

Already have a device that negates half the range penalties.

Doesn't do much good when every fight we've had has been such that either Velden can't attack them at range (like the creatures attacking us while camping and nobody being able to see them until they are in 50 ft) or being in a dungeon.

Only time I've been in a sniping position, the other side had multiple snipers with massive energy weapons capable of snipping back.

I'm with you, Velden. I just have knives. A lot of knives, and I can use them well, admittedly, but still just knives. I guess we rely on skill more than genetics.

The main reason I've been so resistant to re do it is because reworking the skills would be such a pain in the a**
Given that I'll have to do that anyway, because I screwed up, and given that there is a regular Half elf, and apparently trifling, in the party I'll accept a rework, about how many race points would be acceptable


Michel Tam I will make it easy for you... How about:

Base Creature as a Kitsume
Then animal lord:
+2 to all stats
DR 5/silver until 10 HD which increases to 10

Then leave the rest as is, anyone got a problem with that?
