Ha! I can definitely see Leeoli as the wise-cracking ghost hunter...could have a spinoff series of his own some day

Indeed, although he is grim, Leeoli's often self-depracating wryness and sarcasms will likely get him into trouble one evening.

Oh and I apologize for the modern vernacularin the last post, but i coukd not help myself. probably degeneration of the frontal lobes as I age

No problem at all!

Just a head's up - I'm headed on a family trip this evening through Sunday, and posting may suffer a bit

Good for you! Have a great time.

Is the stage at the south end of the the room? Or is it in the NE corner (or is that a wall)

Sorry guys, got home from trip to realize power and internet were killed by the hurricane. Back up and running now.

The stage is at the south, it's the little area that appears to have a window in the west wall of the room

You guys waiting on me?

Not sure what to do :)

Hehe...gotcha. Shall I rp as if the PC's are also undecided? That may make the decision for you

well i could do a detect undead...but I figure there is one here already. :)

Yup am waiting for something to which I can react...am saving detect undead spell for less obvious situations.

We opening a siphon or using holy water?

Human Inspired Blade 1 Empiricist 4 (Current HP:42/36; Current AC:23 T:15; FF:18 ) | ; Remaining Panache: 5/5; Inspiration: 5/5; Init:+7)

Let us try a holy water, and we will ready a siphon if we need to use it.

Male Elf Magus Kensai

I think holy water. Maybe best to save siphon for more active threats. ..

Sorry all, got my butt kicked with flu and work, be back to normal this week, but may not be till Weds or Thurs

Hey guys sorry for abandoning the group. I was trying to really focus on school. It was totally all my fault and I apologize. Hopefully you're all having a good time.

Hi Crag,

No problem at all, RL is always more important. Best of luck with school!

Back to normal routine everyone, thanks for your patience.

An investigator has the ability to augment skill checks and ability checks through his brilliant inspiration. The investigator has an inspiration pool equal to 1/2 his investigator level + his Intelligence modifier (minimum 1). An investigator's inspiration pool refreshes each day, typically after he gets a restful night's sleep. As a free action, he can expend one use of inspiration from his pool to add 1d6 to the result of that check, including any on which he takes 10 or 20. This choice is made after the check is rolled and before the results are revealed. An investigator can only use inspiration once per check or roll. The investigator can use inspiration on any Knowledge, Linguistics, or Spellcraft skill checks without expending a use of inspiration, provided he's trained in the skill.

It seems I can expend an inspiration point to add 1d6 to a disable device check.

I thought that lockpicks were part of the investigator toolkit that Leeoli purchased, but it is not. So my roll should have a -2 penalty. i.e. it should be a 31, not 33.

Holy cow...didn't think you'd be able to get that. Nice one

Sorry I haven't been around much - I have two exams coming up in a week, so I've been cramming.

No problem at all; that's always more important! I've been running into some roadblocks as well, but hoping things slow down soon. Not a ton to do right now anyway, as this is a huge place to explore. There's a lot of down time just opening doors and blowing off dust.

Oops didn't mean to post as Subiculumhammer in the game thread

i think Zaz needs to roll the Fort save against Str poison still.

Yeah thought so

Human Inspired Blade 1 Empiricist 4 (Current HP:42/36; Current AC:23 T:15; FF:18 ) | ; Remaining Panache: 5/5; Inspiration: 5/5; Init:+7)

oops.. Didn't realize that Zaz's Str was 8 naturally....I thought you already included the penalty from the poison...
not a fan of poison.

she's really not very fighty

But she has courage!

Sorry Zazaria, thats 1 damage. That is minimum, so you also do 1 damage with your strike.

Vrilli and Leeoli are both up before the spiders

Leeoli already rolled (accidentally posted as Subiculumhammer)

Good stuff Leeoli - love that swashbuckler class. I used your first roll for the parry, then the crit confirm roll for your riposte, then applied the first damage.

Make sure you keep track of your panache points; I haven't been, but think you've used 2 if memory serves

Oh so the parry is not the attack. dang.. i forgot. double dang no crit.
in that case Leeoli has 1 panache point left.

The parry takes 1 panache point. The riposte does not. The riposte just requires that one point be left in the panache pool i think. So, now that Leeoli has just 1 panachr point left, he can parry one more time, but not riposte.

Got it; thanks for keeping track!

It might be good, tactically, if Anyi were to move, 5 foot step, or acrobatic roll, to get beside/behind Leeoli so Anyi can use her bow and rapid arrow shots without accruing AOOs

Just curious: what sort of actions does Anyi have to take to drop or sheathe a dagger, grab her bow, nock an arrow and let loose? Is that doable in one round? I couldn't find the steps involved to do that, so we stuck with the dagger (we considered throwing it, but there's a -4 penalty using ranged attacks into melee)

I believe dropping the dagger (free action), drawing the bow (movement action) and attacking with bow (standard action) can be accomplished in a single turn. The only hesitation I had about making the suggestion was that Anyi was surrounded and would have had to endure multiple attacks of opportunity.

but I think Anyi is less boxed in now.

I need to remember that -4 penalty when shooting into melee for TapTap. :)Still Anyi would use her dex bonus to hit, and get two attacks per round (-2 to hit though), has the point blank +1 to hit (and damage).

oh and sheathing a weapon is a move action. So dropping is better unless you are really really scared of losing that weapon.

Yup, Sub is right on all accounts. I'm cool with dropping and shooting, but ranged would provoke an AOO from anyone nearby

Thought so...

Was definitely a tricky situation for archer-oriented Anyi to be so surrounded in a small space. eek

Everyone else is up as well, just in case that was unclear. Lets finish off these things!

Cool a crit!

If only I had some follow through!

hey everybody enjoy your holidays (if you have one)!

Not yet, but real soon.

And a merry christmas to you as well Mr. Apollinax!

Thank god...stupid little spiders!

Merry Christmas everyone!
