Wasn't trying to be difficult. I know that sometimes scenarios omit things or will "GM fiat" things like darkness or special conditions.

![]() |

A few headers down in the cover section.
Cover and Attacks of Opportunity: You can't execute an attack of opportunity against an opponent with cover relative to you.
Id be happy to ignore that section and eat the AoOs though if I can play my polearm warpriest with you as GM. =D
I swear there's always a reason why I can't get an AoO off with him... Soon he'll be able to make his own difficult terrain... Then we'll see who's boss all you lousy 5 ft. stepping mooks!

GM Harker |

These two rules appear to contradict themselves. I'll look into the issue more, it does not quite track for a character to be able to make a reach attack through the soft cover but not make an AoO. That being said, we'll say you can't make an AoO through cover for now until I have more time to look into it.

![]() |

Sorry, I wasn't meaning to be argumentative, I was just assuming that it was the case that I was safe from the far guy just due to my prior experiences. I'm quite fine taking the AoOs however you see fit.

Hi guys, something's happened with life, and I may be spotty for a few days/a week while I get my head sorted. I'm safe and well, but I need some time to adjust, so I'm taking a step back for a bit. I'll still be around, and may post in discussion if something needs my input, but I can't make promises for gameplay.
I'll try to post a gameplay action tonight, and hopefully that will see me over, but if I don't post before Quiella, GM, I'm happy to be botted.

Thinking next PFS character won't have profession, not sure it's worth losing some skill points.
day job, trapper: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

![]() |

Here's my day job from above and chronicle info... although I have no idea why I said slow track back there. I think I must have thought that he had a dangling 1/2 XP from a GM credit somewhere, but that was not intended.
Oh, you'll probably want this...
Player Name: Aaron
Character Name: W.I. Blazkovich
PFS# 4249-7
Slow Track
Day Job: Craft (Gunsmithing): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
As for Sensei + Lingering performance, expect table variation. I'd argue that it should work, since it says that Advice acts exactly like Bardic Performance, and if it acts EXACTLY like bardic performance that should include how it interacts with feats and prerequisites. Would also fall in line with other rulings for similar class abilities like oracles channeling via revelation and taking feats that pertain to the class ability. Another strict interpretation would be to say that since Lingering Performance has Bardic Performance as a prerequisite that you do not qualify. Not an interpretation I'd ever use at any of my PFS tables but short of seeing an FAQ entry I wouldn't try to argue it with a GM at a convention 5 minutes before my table starts.
Edit: Ninja'd by the GM. Since this looks like an ongoing campaign he's the only one you need to convince =P.

Didn't we just hit level 6? Am I forgetting something? How much XP should we have after this?

GM, friendly reminder to write on my chronicle sheet that I've used my second GM star to replay this scenario.

Got my Spire game today. Post coming tonight, sorry.

GM Harker |

You have to make hourly checks against it until you get a number of successes to beat it, like a poison. If you wish to try to make your Will saves until you beat the curse or enter a coma, I'm fine with that. Each failure does 1 Wisdom damage. Feel free to make the checks in this thread.

![]() |

William is stubborn and is going to make damned sure the children are ok and the mission is complete before bothering to seek medical attention himself.
Here's 6 hours worth of checks. After that he'll probably finally visit a cleric.
Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 81d20 ⇒ 81d20 ⇒ 11d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 191d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 91d20 - 2 ⇒ (11) - 2 = 9

![]() |

If it's cure on 1 save looks like he'll be wandering through Ostergarde with 3 wisdom damage as he finishes making sure it's clear for the Kastners to move back in. If it's cure on 2 or more saves after he's confident that Ostergard is clear and the children are in safe hands he'll mutter like a madman as he finds his way to a temple. Preferably a temple of Brigh if he can find one.

Is the "automatic thread update" issue what's preventing me from seeing the unread counts on threads? It's forcing me to go to a browser to see which campaigns have updates, since Wayfinder depends on those unread counts to show me what has changed.

GM Harker |

I'll have the Chronicle sheets ready sometime in the next couple of days and will send them to your email addresses.
We'll start the next scenario #4-03 The Golemworks Incident on April 3rd. At which time Vailis should be rejoining us.
My thanks to William for joining us in this scenario, I appreciate you filling in as well as bringing in an interesting character. If we have another opening in the campaign and you're still interested in joining us, I will let you know.

Hey, thanks so much for inviting me to play! Was a great game and some great personalities. Unfortunately I'm a bit oversubscribed right now for games to hop right into another. I had a game that I thought had fallen apart, and it suddenly started back up after a month and a half of inactivity. In the meanwhile I also had signed up for another game and am 3/4 of the way through it. One of those games might wrap up by the 3rd, but since I have pending business travel I'm erring on the side of caution right now.
I hope you all enjoyed William. I probably will refrain from using him any more in PbP just because it feels really awkward trying to use a character with lots of immediate reactions and AoOs. I'd rather not hand the GM a giant flowchart with numbers all over it to handle his out of turn actions. That aside, I've told my in-person group that I'd make him available for use in the Cindersworn Pact and it's sequel. He's sitting on a bounty to be turned in at the City of Brass and is looking forward to following through on it...
If you guys still haven't found a replacement when you are ready to start the Golemworks Incident and at least one of my games has wrapped up I'll see what other characters I have available. I've got a few others in the 5-9 range, but one is in another PbP, and one is reserved to play in Hrenthar's Throne in a few weeks. That would leave me with Sarsczek, my Slayer 6 / Living Monolith 1.

Yeah Thanks William, it's a fun character and may help me decide to plan out a gun user at some point in the future.
One more scenario and if I can keep Frostfur alive, I'll get a large wolf. At some point between now and then we probably should discuss how to manage that. She'll become much more powerful (plus I am probably going to use boon companion on my next available feat slot) but more of a pain with positioning.

![]() |

Well, the automatic thread update issue has been resolved, which should make everything easier.
Thanks for joining us, William! Enjoy the Cindersworn Pact; I'm running it tomorrow, and looking forward to it. :D

If William doesn't take the slot, I'm sure I could find someone from my local lodge who wants to step in.

Just shy of affording that Headband of Charisma!

10k less than needed to purchase celestial armor, but I think I best improve my saving rolls. Being out of action isn't good.
Leaning toward a +3 cloak of resistance.
Not quite enough to get Holy on my bow.

DebugAMP |

Hey, I just talked to the GM for one of my games and he's fairly certain that it will wrap up within a short amount of time. Given that, I think as long as we aren't starting the next part much earlier than the 3rd I'd be happy to continue on, although with a different character who is currently level 7. William's got a bounty to cash in with another gun-slinging friend...

This is the character I'd be bringing. His profile still needs to be updated after his last face to face game.
