Sounds good. I know its been running slow but I have been to eventually log on. One annoying thing though is that the website seems to sign me out every time my computer goes to sleep. More annoying from mobile devices but still a pain.

![]() |

Valik's post reminded me - GM, does my Eerie Sense ping?

![]() |

Not a problem, GM; I also need to do better at remembering I have it!

![]() |

Having trouble figuring out something I can do. Not a whole lot Ophelia can do to plants, short of eating an AoO (ouch) and getting in to use Gentle Rest, but that won't even be worth it if people are ready to wail on something.

You could always aid another in combat. Allows you to basically give someone a +2 boost in fighting the leafy beasts. I know hoe you feel, the spell reduction and fire resistance is really cramping my style, though I still have a few tricks up my sleeve.
In melee combat, you can help a friend attack or defend by distracting or interfering with an opponent. If you’re in position to make a melee attack on an opponent that is engaging a friend in melee combat, you can attempt to aid your friend as a standard action. You make an attack roll against AC 10. If you succeed, your friend gains either a +2 bonus on his next attack roll against that opponent or a +2 bonus to AC against that opponent’s next attack (your choice), as long as that attack comes before the beginning of your next turn. Multiple characters can aid the same friend, and similar bonuses stack.
You can also use this standard action to help a friend in other ways, such as when he is affected by a spell, or to assist another character’s skill check.

Summon monster for me is nine rounds in total. Seven from caster level, bonus two from being a fifth level conjuration wizard

![]() |

I'm not aware of any PFS rule limiting the number of summons you can have active. In fact multiple summons is something Valandil does quite often in big fights (sometimes with multiple flaming spheres thrown in for good measure).
I am aware you can only have one combat animal (animal companion, bonded mount, familiar, Eldion), but that is different from animal summons. Of course rulings get changed all the time, so I could well have missed it.

![]() |

No worries. I don't like doing that many rolls myself. If I want to run ten creatures, I'll GM a scenario :-)

![]() |

I'll be away from around new years eve for about a week. Please bot as required. IF it doesn't look too dangerous he'll fire pairs of magic missiles from his staff, otherwise generally summons.

![]() |

I borked due to Christmas chaos - after resting, would I be able to swap out some of my prepared spells? I'm happy to not use any replacement spells during this encounter, if it helps. (I'm aware it would be metagamey to "suddenly" have the perfect spell for this situation)

![]() |

Okay, I've swapped out hold person, forbid action, and command, and replaced them with weapon of awe, bane, and unbreakable heart.

![]() |

craft(calligraphy): 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (2) + 21 = 23 20gp
If I still have a reroll left at the end I'll use that for 10+21+3=34. 75gp

![]() |

Profession, farmer: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

![]() |

Day job - Profession (midwife): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

![]() |

I knew it was a risk. I was hoping on the ethereal plane it wouldn't be incorporeal. Live and learn. Guess next round it is heading down to the fire elementals.

GM Harker |

I'll have the session reported and Chronicle sheets out in the next couple of days.
The next scenario will be #04-17 Tower of the Ironwood Watch (Tier 5-9). For those of you in the campaign, please check to see if you played this before we get started. Also, some of you will need to level up to 8th. We'll get started either next week or the week after.
Valandil, I don't know if you're interested in sticking with the campaign for the remaining scenarios, but if you are then you very welcome to join. There is one caveat, however. Our APG Summoner Vailis will be re-joining us and his character operates in a very similar way as your build. So, it would be probably best if you switch to a different character to give everyone a chance to standout.
Level 8
4-17 Tower of the Ironwood Watch (5-9)
4-04 King of Storval Stairs (7-11)
4-22 Glories of the Past Part 1 (5-9)
Level 9
4-24 Glories of the Past Part 2 (5-9)
4-25 Glories of the Past Part 3 (5-9)
4-08 The Cultist's Kiss (7-11)
Level 10
4-10 Feast of Sigils (7-11)
4-12 The Refuge of Time (7-11)
4-20 Words of the Ancients (7-11)
Level 11
4-26 The Waking Rune (7-11)
(?) 5-25 Vengeance at Sundered Crag (7-11)
(?) 7–04 The Ironbound Schism (7-11)
The last two scenarios are subject to change, although they deal with NPC's and/or themes from Season 4.

![]() |

Not the resolution I was expecting.
Thanks GM! I will level and be ready in the next few days.

![]() |

Unfortunately I have played Tower of the Ironwood Watch.
I would be more than happy to join for the rest of the sequence though, as I don't think I have done any of them.
I have a number of 5-6th level characters, but only one 7+ apart from Valandil, an 8th level cleric. Well, aside from a seeker, and a bard who is at the start of a 4 part series.
Hmm, I'll have a 7th level ranger at the end of her current scenario as well, now I have checked. So in short, very happy to join in after the Tower. I may have some other options by then as well.

![]() |

Mostly leveled, but having a hard time pick a level 2 Oracle spell. I am leaning towards Ironskin or Silence. Probably the latter. Does anyone have any alternative suggesitons?

![]() |

Spiritual weapon can be handy for incorporeal creatures. Also as a ranged option. Your paladin BAB boost will also help that a little.

Season 9 faction card (presuming it’s still season 9)
0/1 Recover a gem worth at least 400 gp plus 100 gp × your character level during an adventure. A gem-like wondrous item such as an elemental gem or a pearl of power fulflls this goal, but its market price must be at least twice this value.
And/Or
0/1 Become possessed by a creature using magic jar, the malevolence ability, or a similar effect. Alternatively, permanently destroy a haunt??

GM Harker |

Valandil, that's cool. I'll find a temp person for the next scenario in the meantime, but I won't set you inactive in the thread. If your Ranger is a ranged-type character I think that would be helpful to this group.
Valik, you can check either of those goals for this scenario. The elemental gem is 2500 gp and you all did permanently destroy a haunt.

![]() |

I wish I had an easier way to keep track of those cards. I stopped doing them. :-(

![]() |

Great scenario Harker, thanks for running. I am on board for the next scenario if you folks will have me. I have not played any of the scenarios on the list. Hec is already at 9th level and has one more scenario after this one before he hits 10.
Looking forward to next scenario.

![]() |

I've not played any of those.
Mel will not level up until after this next one.
Mel charges his rapier with shocking grasp.
No day job.
Remember to add the three scrolls of identify that Mel bought during this adventure.

![]() |

Just realized Cultiss Kiss was already played too. I don’t think I have anyone for those ranges either. But being “behind” may not be bad.

GM Harker |

Mel, just go ahead and keep track of your purchases on whatever inventory tracking sheet you use.
Valik, thanks for the heads up. Just try to avoid playing any more. :)
Everyone, the session has been reported and I've sent chronicle sheets to the email addresses provided. If you have any issues, either email me back or PM here.
We'll get started on Tower of the Ironwood Watch sometime next week, probably in the middle. Please try to level somewhat soon (if applicable) if you have the opportunity.

I'm looking at continuing to pump up Quiella's AC; bumping magic armor bonus up to +3 and amulet of natural armor up to +2. That will make her AC 27, or 31 with Shield, or 32 with Shield + Shield of Faith.
Unless anyone has a suggestion that will be more valuable. She could wait another chronicle and bump up one of her stat enhancers, I suppose.

![]() |

That's funny, I was thinking about my AC as well...
If I were to buy the following, would they all stack to help my AC? I think so, but want to make sure. Also, is that belt even something that is available for Mel to buy?
Amulet of Natural Armor +1 (natural armor bonus / enhancement )
Ring of Protection +1 (deflection bonus)
Belt of Incredible Dexterity +2 (Dexterity bonus)
What confuses me is that the boost to dexterity is an enhancement. I assume the armor class bonus from the belt comes as a result of the increased dexterity, not the enhancement that increased the dexterity. Therefore, they stack just fine.
And the shield spell stacks with all of them as well.
Base AC: 10
Mithrial Chain Shirt +1 : +5
Ring of Protection +1 : +1
Amulet of Natural Armor : +1
Dexterity 18 (with belt) : +4
Total = 10+5+1+1+4 = 21
With shield spell (+4) => 25
Or should I not focus on AC and instead spend the money on a cloak of resistance and a Headband of Unshakeable Resolve (so Mel will quit running so far away)?
On the other hand, these two seemed to be much more up Mel's alley:
Cloak of Fiery Vanishing
Daredevil softpaw boots

![]() |

Yes, those all stack.

![]() |

Crap... I just noticed I played Tower of the Ironwood Watch early last year. I don't know how that one slipped through the cracks. I'm so sorry.

GM Harker |

Some of you guys playing Season 4 scenarios outside of this campaign after you started playing in it is really beginning to bum me out. I can cite examples, but I don't think that's necessary.
Would it be unfair of me to say that from this point forward, I will removed anyone from the campaign that plays a Season 4 scenario left on the list that they haven't disclosed to us at this moment?
With the time, energy, and money for scenarios that I've put into this, yes this is seriously bugging me that much.

![]() |

Afaik, the two I did were before I started the campaign if that saves me from banishment ?
I played Refuge back in 2013 & Cultist back in Jan. 2014, and we didn’t start til March of 2014. We, and mostly you :) have been going strong for going on 4 years (holy crap!!).
Thank you for all your hard work. If I had a computer I would have loved to continue the CORE module run I started that had you in it. I might have a found a way to do solely on my phone, but the maps seem daunting to say the least lol.

GM Harker |

You're fine Valik. I wasn't aware that you played in those scenarios previous to this campaign.
Thank you for the kind words and for keeping with the campaign.
My apologies to everyone for getting frustrated, but I had hoped that by the time we got to the high-level scenarios that this would no longer be an issue.

GM Harker |

Okay, so I'll recruit someone to fill in for Ophelia for the next scenario once I get closer to getting it started. She'll need to fill in the XP gap from some other source or just be behind 1 XP.
I just PM'ed Vailis so he should be returning. So, the next scenario will be with Valik, Quiella, Mel, Vailis, Heccan, and a temp person. I'll look for a high DPR character and/or buffer to fill in the gaps. I think Quiella has healing under control.

![]() |

Mel goes on a shopping spree.
If he cannot find something on that list, please let me know. That might change everything :)
Wand of Spontaneous Immolation (15 charges)
Cloak of Resistance +1
Belt of Incredible Dexterity +2
Daredevil Softpaws
Potion of Darkvision
Potion of Lesser Restoration
Potion of Remove Fear
Scroll of Bladed Dash
Scroll of Shatter
Scroll of Cat's Grace x4
Scroll of Knock
