Waiting on Uriah as Im not sure whether he is gunn use the weapon or not. Know Pre-arena fight Yvell would pretty much say to stay relatively together.

I think alot of our confusion comes from having a bunch of assumptions in place and not enough communication.

I try to post explicitly what Uriah is casting and keep track of it somewhere, either on the map or in the post.

I think, to lessen confusion, we should keep a running tab of what buffs we have active and we shouldn't assume that someone else has cast a spell or taken an action that they haven't either directly or indirectly spelled out.

One example of this is Mage Armor. Did Aeron cast it on herself? or did she ask Uriah?

Thats not really a confusion.

Assumptions are in place based on perceived norms, if one person is for example absent or not putting forth information/input on something and it is available it make sense they take those actions.. if they would normally do it anyway. In the case of mage armor We can either assume you cast it from the wand.. or eventually Aeron does so with UMD, no matter what eventually the hour long spell goes off, which is more than needed for this combat.. which we would have mild preparation for.

It the same if ANYone is absent, unless they say otherwise they continue to do what they normally would. Yvell would cut some things an heal himself (Or someone Else), Valtyra will either channel heal or cast a spell.. like Hold Person or Spear of Purity (This is new), Muga cuts it with his fiery blade generally not next to anyone and from an advantageous area, possibly one v one if he can, Aeron will cast Mage more and enchant the blade with either a hard bonus, an energy or Both. Uriah is a caster and has no norms right now so for him its either do some damage or hope they fail a save.

Identified or not, aeron will ask for the suit. She will wear it under her baggy cloths. If there is any arcane spell failure associated with it, she will incur the penelties. She does not tell anyone she is wearing it though.

Also, aerin will ask to have mage armor placed on her just outside the arena. She will also give Val the CLW wand back to help her conserve spells.

Valtyra to a point really hasnt had much input I believe though Aeron told us of the reason. Either way replacement will be done after this book last I remember. I already have a few people who were set up when Auehda left a while ago so if needed we can NPC them until next recruitment phase.

For Val I see they are posting in other games.. but it tends to be like.. one post.. barely at around 12 noonish.. even then they aren't consistent.

Hellion stuck himself in a difficult spot.. crap Yvell is gonna have to provoke but assuming he is indeed Boss Material it should be worth it. Valtyra is gunna be so upset.

Also I made a mistake I thought Yvell had used a Lay on Hands in the Nakalai Orc fight.. but he didnt so I actually have one left.. though it wont change the tactics.

As far as Hellion; Technically yes, Technically no. I took over for Aeron Because the GM placed it out there.

Likely something similar would have happened.

I wasnt the only one fighting that encounter.

When we fought Draigs and Kulgara it happened before.. its just she SUPER died when Muga initiated the crit-storm instead.

Well the next book has us start at... 7th level I think? The GM tends to do like a Month out of game for things like Recruitment and whatnot, setting up for the next book.

As far as Discharge, it seems like a good fit. Use of Telekinesis to overcharge and short out an opponent. OR their weapon.
As for the other two I would go with Investigative Mind.. its more widely applicable and furthermore.. isnt blocked by Lead.. or y'know.. super techno metal.. which is like.. all of this campaign.

Rage Powers (Ex) Celestial Totem, Lesser

At 3rd level and every 3 levels thereafter, a skald learns a rage power that affects the skald and any allies under the influence of his inspired rage. This cannot be a rage power that requires the creature to spend a standard action or rounds of rage to activate it. For example, the skald cannot choose terrifying howl (which requires a standard action to activate), but can choose knockback (which is made in place of a melee attack).

Unless otherwise noted, a skald cannot select an individual rage power more than once.

When starting an inspired rage, the skald chooses which rage powers (if any) to add to the song, and all affected allies gain the benefit of these rage powers, using the skald's level as their effective barbarian level. The skald uses his skald level as his barbarian level for the purpose of selecting rage powers that require a minimum barbarian level. If the rage power's effects depend on the skald's ability modifier (such as lesser spirit totem), affected allies use the skald's ability modifier instead of their own for the purposes of this effect.

If a rage power requires another rage power (such as disruptive, which requires superstition), the skald cannot grant that rage power to allies unless he can also grant that power's prerequisite. He may add multiple rage powers to an inspired rage at the same time using this ability (such as granting superstition and disruptive simultaneously).

If a rage power can only be used a certain number of times per day or per rage (such as renewed vigor), each ally affected by the inspired rage song is subject to that limit (with once per rage abilities limited to once per inspired rage).

If the skald has rage powers from another source, he (but not his allies) can use those rage powers during an inspired rage. He cannot select a duplicate rage power, unless that rage power can be taken multiple times.

If the skald has the ability to rage from another source, he can use his skald rage powers during that rage as well.

Raging Song (Su) +3 rounds

Song of Marching (Su) At 3rd level, a skald can use raging song to inspire his allies to move faster without suffering from fatigue. By expending 1 round of raging song, the skald invigorates allies within 60 feet, who may hustle for the next hour; this movement counts as a walk (not a hustle) for the purpose of accruing nonlethal damage and fatigue. The skald must continue to perform the song for the remainder of the hour, otherwise its effects end, but only 1 round of raging song is expended for that hour.


I believe Uriah has left the party. Aeron is gone as well. Though, she may return if she feels like it.

That means you have three party members and a psychic plant warpriest. If you three are continuing, one more member is probably fine.

I assumed we'd get at least one more member by virtue of not having 4 members. I know of one so we would need one more. I sorta assumed we'd get the same treatment as other groups, no more than 6 people obviously. Do you have a plan on their incorporation net book? When do you plan on doing a recruitment?

After Muga potentially kills himself would be smart. If you're down to two and a plant, might as well call in a full crew of six so that you end with four, hopefully.

Well doing the recruitment is gunna happen regardless. When we actually CHOOSE that will be determined. The Odds arent in Muga's Favor but hey depends on if he wants to the death/knows his own limits.


Okay, so you'll need 2 to 3 people depending on Muga's fate. Maybe he'll act first in initiative and get some super critical.

I suppose 6 is better because people tend to drop at some point in the story. Either from time or other commitments.

That is the sad truth as you've seen. Even in your super groups of Rd and Green people still leave, disappear, whatever for some reason. As long as the drive is still in the game likely each team should succeed however.
