Well, at first I thought Yvell was all angry rage all the time...but his actions after the Smiler/Marrow fight and his goals for Scrapwall lead me to believe he is a little more gentle than that. Perhaps Sarenrae's influence through Valtra is rubbing off on him?

Uriah is less "good" than Yvell, he is more calculating and I guess more callous. He has a goal though, and an ambitious one. Overthrow of the Technic League, and replacing it with a true Society of merging magic and technology.

Muga doesn't have any grandiose goal. He just wants to protect his home. And have a fun scrap while doing it.

Yvell was basically a militaristic Dick. he had a strong sense of will and could talk the talk, he just was also very Vengeful and wrathful and didnt feel the need to be nice about facts. He could work with people but he wouldnt necessarily be kind about it, though it was effective. The party effectively wore on him and Valtyra especially. Phylla gave him responsibility, Auehda taught him humility. He might be zealous but he wasnt stupid, he always hated that stigma about Paladins.

As angry as he is he is still Good, and will attempt good when he can. He just has no qualms about taking out terrible evil. Ragathiel is brutal.

Valtyra has a rocky position (Btw Uriah you need to work on your spelling of names) She has healing capability as well as buffs and debuffs, she ALSO has the benefit of beating face. What she doesnt is varied about as much as Yvell + Casting.

@GM I added my Magic Missile damage both times on the map...I'll stop doing that. Might want to do a damage audit...we might not have done that much damage to the manticore.

Muga, on the other hand is relatively easy to bot: Is someone close enough to hit with sword? Hit with sword! Otherwise, shoot bow, or get in position to hit with sword.

Nah Muga has quirks that are different because unlike " I hit it with sword " he doesnt have " I hit it with sword " AC like with the Laser he didnt rush in until about 2 rounds of that. But options wise yes he is simple.

Hrm? Its the weapon, though in reality +16 isnt high at all if I wanted to be good at whatever it was. Think about it, most CMB's are Str based so If I were say.. a Fighter or barbarian, etc at this level I would Have 5 bab + 5 Stat + 2 Feat +2 classed based boost. That would not include magic items and other abilities (( Like Strength Surge. What have you.))

Autograpnel's have a 22 Effective strength and on a Retraction pulls at CMB +16.

Hey everyone. My original 2 days off turned into over a week of mayhem and utter frustration. Luckily, things have finally settled down enough that I can finally get back to a normal rhythm. My character is almost fully complete and I will be back tomorrow to make my first post after my long absence.

HP for level up is average+1 for simplicity sake.

Magic Missile (DC16): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 Failed-cannot attempt for 1 week
Shatter (DC17): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20 Succeeded
Vampiric Touch (DC18): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28 Succeeded
Lightning Bolt (DC18): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 Succeeded

Total hours worked on spells = 9
Those two last ones can be done over the next few days in game as I wont be able to use them until next level anyway.

The three scrolls (Command Undead, Technomancy, and Sound Burst) Aeron cannot learn, but she does have an 11 UMD, so it is possible to use. If anyone wants them for use, please feel free. The technomancy scroll can be used by Uriah to save a spell/day if need be.

A few spells in the spell book are available to Yvell, though most of them are necromancy and thus, I doubt he will even give them a second glance though daze monster may be useful for his spellbook.

Also, I was wondering if no one had already picked them up, if Aeron could hold onto the 5 +1 bolts and the ring of the ram.

Channel Positive Energy (Su): When a paladin reaches 4th level, she gains the supernatural ability to channel positive energy like a cleric. Using this ability consumes two uses of her lay on hands ability. A paladin uses her level as her effective cleric level when channeling positive energy. This is a Charisma-based ability.

But then I realized that you only have 3 levels in Paladin.

Even then Thats also assuming I wouldnt change out that for any number of abilities and It would be disadvantageous to do so if there is someone who is better and uses much less resources for it. Yvell is not a healer. He likely wouldn't keep it regardless, he is a fearsome warrior and wrathful general. Besides, even if he had channel it would take two Lay on hands and only be 3d6.

Basically we an wail on the door Avg damage power attack Muga doesn 3-4 damage Yvell does 1-0, He will rage them for about 5 rounds to increase that by one to two points and thus they rip the door apart in a little less than one minute.

I always assumed that DR and hardness were the same thing, just applying to a creature and an unattended object. Bypassing the DR of adamentine, would intern mean that the weapon overcame the hardness it provided. Sorry, I have been thinking about that whole door thing. :D Can anyone set get me some info, my Google Fu is weak and I couldn't find it in my books.

DR and hardness are not the same thing. Hardness tends to actually stronger than DR. There are abilities much like the Monk or other classes which state that they bypass DR /X but not hardness or Both. The DR thing for your weapon is more the enhancement becomes high enough to count as that sharp..

DR is not hardness...Hardness is MUCH better. Ie: Hardness allows Robots to ignore energy damage.

Btw I assume this is after we have gathered some time and effort.. Is the Dreamers HQ closer to us or is the Relay Closer? As that is the next place but we can drop some stuff of.


It's a large town, so nothing is too far away from anything else. The relay (southeast) is closer though, since the smiler base is somewhere to the west, and the haunted canyon is to the east.

You wouldn't be correct Muga, here you have to be on opposite sides and as this isnt a large sized creature it cant be flanked more. Now the one to his right died, so he could 5ft step and flank it. The issue now is that we have all this grease and we ant get around them to flank so Acrobatics checks will be needed. Basically only Aeron can get to it. Then again in Init Uriah's action would be later as well so it wouldn't be there quite yet.

Heh, I find it funny that despite my AC, I'm the one dodging attacks. My luck's been on fire lately.

Had a Kata Master Monk the other night who, while fighting the boss, got attacked by a hench charging in from behind three times, and each time parry/riposte crit'd the hench dead. The henches, if each of them had hit, would have put me in the negatives, but I couldn't roll below a 18 that night. :P

I’m thinking of running an adventure via Twitch and Youtube, and was seeing if anyone is interested in playing (maybe Dragon’s Demand or Daughters of Fury). I thought I’d ask you first since you’re already in one of my groups and have some experience with my GM style.

If you’ve watched Itmejp’s rollplay or Dawnforgedcast or Misscliks, or any of the other tabletop shows, that’s what I’d like to try. The pilot/trial will be on Monday the 6th of April, around 7-10 pm Pacific Time for about 2 hours with some time to chat and get ready and breaks (this could change based on players’ preferences/availability). I have no experience using Twitch or Youtube (other than a few videos) and watching a lot of different shows.

Yes, you can be prepared for this battle by casting spells before the battle.
