it will still do damage plus your level, I guess; better than nothing!
Isu Greelax Zyte

it took 9 levels, two general feats, and 1 gear boost, and power armor with 10 foot reach to finally have the perfect opportunity to greater cleave. And I think it worked!
Isu Greelax Zyte

arc I think you should take the pistol. I have something like 4 weapons. lol

I'm sure many of you will have similar family-focused schedules between now and the end of the year, but I will be a little spotty on posting during that time, I'm sure.
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year (better than the dumpster fire of 2020 please)!
Isu Greelax Zyte

And to you!
| GM Cellion |
Have a great Christmas all! I'll be taking a brief break for Christmas as well, picking things back up this weekend.
Isu Greelax Zyte

Spectre probably is a good idea to refresh yourself on death and dying rules. You won't die at 0 HP, you'll start to go through your resolve points though.
Isu Greelax Zyte

maybe this was all inevitable, but next time let's not rush to back room and start there... should have cleared it room by room safely.
| GM Cellion |
Welcome back after yesterday's forum outage!
For anyone who is still having difficulty logging back in after yesterday's outage - clearing cookies for Paizo.com did wonders for me.
Isu Greelax Zyte
|
Yes, me too. I have been logged out for about 48 hours or so. Feels like a while anyway but managed to get back in.
Isu Greelax Zyte

yee haw, level 10! good milestone! probably the highest level I've been to in any pbp
| GM Cellion |
We're definitely in the home stretch!
Level 10 is a big one because you get your ability score bumps. If you started with an 18 in a score, you're now getting it to 20 (ignoring any personal upgrades).

Ted gained:
* increased most every numerical value (WOOT!)
* 2 4th level spells (Overload Systems, Rewire Flesh)

i level up by hand so I hope I got it all. Level 10 is big. Bear with me as I write it all out because I'm using this as a record for myself
+1 str, +2 dex, +2 intel, +2 wisdom
+1 resolve point
+2 reflex, +1 will
+1 init
total skill ranks increased to 42 (it used to be 29...+2 intelligence is a big deal), lots of skill rejiggering
+11 SP, +7 HP
+1 to hit with melee, +2 to hit for ranged, +1 to damage
+1 to my DR
Level 9: keep fighting: As a move action, you can spend 1 Resolve Point to regain Stamina Points equal to 2d6 + your soldier level. You can’t use this ability again until after you regain Stamina Points from a 10-minute rest. The number of Stamina Points you regain increases by 1d6 at 10th level, 15th level, and 20th level.
Perfect fit (9th level solider) You feel at home in heavier armor, including powered armor, as though it were a second skin. While you are wearing powered armor, increase its land speed by 10 feet, up to your normal land speed, and reduce the speed adjustment from heavy armor you wear by 5 feet. In addition, reduce the armor check penalty of heavy armor or powered armor you wear by 1 (to a minimum of 0). This armor check penalty reduction stacks with reductions from other abilities, such as the armor training technique of the soldier’s guard fighting style.
| GM Cellion |
Ooh, 4th level spells for the spellcasters!
That looks about right to me Isu. Some pretty nice ability pick ups too.
Isu Greelax Zyte

Will that +2 to Int and Wis, maybe Isu will start seeing the silliness in his pizza conspiracy theories? :3
ha ha ha! never!!!!! I read an interesting piece about conspiracy theories this last week. Basically it is impossible to argue them, because if you do you are just one of the blind or one of those covering it up. The person needs to see the truth for themselves otherwise can never be convinced.

I'm set. I took Cosmic Eddy and Restoration as my new 4th level spells. Increased Dex, Con, Wis, and Cha, which takes a few skills up too, which is nice.
| GM Cellion |
Will do. Thanks for the heads up.
| Sydney Jordan |
So, I am back again and I'm really going to try to stay consistent this time. I had a good two year streak when I joined PbP. But, after disappearing I'm going to take it slow. (I'm not sure if my character is active because you all thought I might always come back, or if the GM swap makes it hard to move characters, hehe)
Arcalinte Soter

Well, we figured you'd let us know when you were ready...I certainly wouldn't mind you coming back, though obviously Cellion would have the final say. :)
| GM Cellion |
Hi again Sydney, good to see you're still around. Hope you have fun with any Pathfinder games you pick back up!
Isu Greelax Zyte
|
wait, so you came back to tell us you are coming back but actually aren't coming back so see you later?
Isu Greelax Zyte
|
good luck!
Isu Greelax Zyte

geez I'm sorry. I had to clear my cache of my browser for work and I completely forgot that would log me out here. I didn't think there was any activity the last couple of days.

does bleed do direct hp damage?
| GM Cellion |
Not by the rules as written.
Isu Greelax Zyte
|
dice have not been kind to us this battle. Luckily I don't feel very threatened, but this battle is taking longer than it should.
Isu Greelax Zyte

whoooooa! 81 point crit by a non-boss. I am very curious at the mechanics of that, Cellion, if you can share. (So we can copy it)
Isu Greelax Zyte

I'm wondering, Ted and Jelico, if there is almost no point in you guys shooting your little laser pistols anymore. You need probably at least a 15 on the die to actually hit, and then you don't do much damage. What else can you do if you don't want to cast a spell?
There is supressing fire and harrying fire, as an option.
| GM Cellion |

Surprisingly, nothing more than some trick attack damage rolls that rolled well above average!
Ted Under

Ya, I've been wondering about spell usage too. The bosses tend to exhaust the big stuff, so I save spells until they show up. And the little spells don't tend to do any more than the pistol so haven't been using those.
Technomancer can expend spell slots to get a bonus to hit and damage, but tearing through spell slots, especially early in a module, is lame (particularly if the shot still misses).
Looks like suppressing fire gives cover to an ally while harrying gives a +2 to hit an enemy. Neither feel very heroic and would require a lot of batteries?
Isu Greelax Zyte
|
Well you aren't wrong about it not being the most fun thing, but a +2 to hit may be really useful. I could really use a +2 to hit against this dwarf, but I also think it is worthwhile to just use your spells on him. I bet he does a ton of damage.
Isu Greelax Zyte

While bleed is justing ticking away at SP currently, being healed by Jelico was enough to end the bleed last turn, right?
| GM Cellion |
Jelico healed Arc last round, not Isu.
