Something I think we might want to alert other people joining our group is that we'll need a pilot. I don't think any of us are trained in that skill or have the Ace Pilot theme. I told my friend this when I alerted her that we still had room for her, though last time we talked she was interested in playing a Kasatha Soldier focusing on guns.

I have piloting as a class skill and a high Int.
I could definitely put points in that if we don't have a pilot. Even if we do have a pilot, I'll likely put some in so we have a backup.

Heh...I hadn't checked for some reason, but I actually HAD put a point in my class-skill piloting already. I've got a +7, so between Ted and Spectre we should be fine. :)

Quick question: What does the level next to equipment mean?
For example, right now I'm considering buying a Datajack so I can plug computers directly into me and access information. However, it has a level 2 next to the one I'm considering. We're currently level 1. Does that mean I can't purchase it?
System: Brain
Model Standard Level 2 Price 625
This cybernetic includes a programmable data port that allows you to access different types of computers and digital storage media. Any handheld computer can be inserted directly into the port, while larger systems need to be connected by an adapter cable. Having the system connected directly to your nervous system obviates the need for an interface to access data on a system. Actually operating the system requires you to use the Computers skill as usual. Some closed systems don’t allow data access or require you to do some rewiring to connect with a datajack (usually an Engineering check).
Advanced datajacks make it easier to process and send information through the datajack. With a high-density datajack, you gain a +1 circumstance bonus to Computer checks when accessing a system via your datajack. An accelerated datajack instead provides a +2 bonus.

Relevant CRB rule:
Rather than meticulously track every arms dealer, contact, guild, and license a character has access to, the game assumes that in typical settlements you can find and purchase anything with an item level no greater than your character level + 1, and at major settlements items up to your character level + 2. The GM can restrict access to some items (even those of an appropriate level) or make items of a higher level available for purchase (possibly at a greatly increased price or in return for a favor done for the seller).
So you can get a datajack no problem in Absalom Station since that's a major settlement.

Nice. Sounds like I could currently purchase anything up to level 3.
Not that we're rolling in credits, but I'm going to buy something during that last interlude (probably the datajack).

GM Snowheart |

Just sent you all a PM. Mentioning it here because the notification no longer seems to appear up top.

Grix Krizvit |

Forums are quiet today. Like Saturday came early.
Feels that way to me too. For once I have a slow day due to the storm coming through the north-east US right now. I'm up-to-date on all 5 of my ongoing PbPs and no one has responded...
What, who's addicted? I'm not addicted! I could stop playing PbP at any time. *refreshes Campaigns*

Thank you for accepting me! I think my submission is already finalized. Though if someone knows of an actual kasatha profile pic, let me know.
Now I'll proceed with reading the thread! (unless you would prefer me coming into this knowing nothing, like my actual character).
Hi Cellion! (it's mustachioed)
edit: Actually I am going to swap out a feat, I don't think multi-weapon attack works for Isu since I won't be using light weapons. I'll find something else. Also, disarming might be a fools errand based on what I heard, but I'll give it a shot. Disarming when you have four arms sounds like a lot of fun after all.

Nice!

Grix Krizvit |

Hi guys! Happy to have some more people to join us!
Arc's been sad because all his team mates so far are weirdos with no moral fiber. Maybe that'll be fixed with the additions :>

Isu is lawful good, and a formal stick in the mud.

GM Snowheart |

Welcome welcome! I’ve got my F2F dead suns game tomorrow but will try to get some introductory gameplay stuff up by Monday. In short, I’m thinking y’all are junior Starfinder sand Chiskisk is going to have you join the rest of the party.
Also...
Everyone is now level 2! A little early, but... you’ll need it. >:-)

GM Snowheart |

Well, like I said last night, I was thinking it'd have to wait until Monday, but... I'm having a more productive morning than I expected, so... I'll start writing something now.

GM Snowheart |

Yes. Been a while since we had our last fight. Will change soon!
That’s a good reminder. I’ll send you invites via PM as soon as I’m back at a real computer.

I think most of my math for Arcalinte's level up is done. I do need an update on how many creds I have in total, since I'm thinking of adding a Called fusion to my new Longsword so I'm not caught without a proper melee weapon again like we were in the Fusion Queen.

GM Snowheart |

PMs have been sent to the new players with links to the Roll20 space. Let me know if that doesn't work for you!

GM Snowheart |

Lol. Well, between some time travel on your part and a Kasatha born in a clam, this will be fun.

![]() |

this one got into roll20 no probs

GM Snowheart |

I’m expecting a busy day at work today but will try to have an update up.

![]() |

Hmmm...I wonder if I should alter Arcalinte's image a bit. I never fully got the description of him down, but I'm wondering if I should make him more "ruddy" and have his human mom be an Akitonian red-human like Otal...

2 people marked this as a favorite. |

Something else I did on a whim: Theme songs for our characters!
Arc - JoJo (Sono Chi no Sadame) (Hiroaki "Tommy" Tominaga)
Grix - Camouflage (Stan Ridgway/Sabaton)
Isu - Resist and Bite (Sabaton)
Solaria - The Great Unknown (Miracle of Sound)
Spectre - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (AC/DC)
Sydney - Danger Zone (Kenny Loggins)
Ted - Cool Guys Don't Look At Explosions (The Lonely Island)

Sydney Jordan |

I love Kenny Loggins :D
I would have also accepted something from Green Day.

Solaria Jesari |

Nice picks ... suits Solaria probably better than I came up with either some Pink Floyd or another little bit of Floyd

![]() |

Haha...love it!
For some reason I have the Joan Jett version version in my mind when I try to think of my theme song, but this is funny.

![]() |

Hey, it's a good reason, I'm almost inclined to think Joan Jett's version's better than the original, now that I've heard it. It doesn't surprise me, though, she's JOAN GODDAMN JETT! :D

Just to let you all know, my posting will slow down this week as I'm joining my family on a trip to Chicago! I'll post if I have a spare moment, but if things need to move along, please bot my character. Thank you! :)

Grix Krizvit |

Love the theme songs Arc, though I'm with Sydney on her own song selection, her character screams Green Day :>
As for Grix, that song you picked for him is pretty hard core, and I don't know how he comes off to others, but I think of him as anything but. I was thinking something more like this accordion cover of Bonetrousle

![]() |

That was more out of a sense of how grateful Arc was for Grix saving his life during the Fusion Queen fight. If you will, imagine the narrator as Arc and Grix as Camouflage and you kinda see it if you squint. That one you picked is much better at capturing the feel of Grix as he really is. Though now I'm imagining him with a Skeletor/Papyrus voice!

GM Snowheart |

Sorry, all. Playing solo dad this weekend and hard to write coherently for these NPCs without the books and my notes in front of me. Will try to have something up on Sunday.

Solaria Jesari |

Are we finished at Serissi's place.. Solaria is done there.. though interested in Spectre's reply ... :)
