Tal Bernard Mainz |
Tal can't help himself as he laughs out loud at the farce of Monday and the devil. You can't be serious!?! If I take his glaive how is he going to help us? Seeing that the devil is quite serious about hte endeavor as the glaive is passed through the bars Tal looks at Naberius. Is this safe? Is there any way that he could exert control over me if I touch the glaive?
Only if Naberius tells him it is safe will Tal reach for but not touch the glaive yet.
Monday Daud |
"I don't really care if he wants to or can help us when he gets out, I just want to let him out. He's so miserable in there, wouldn't you be? Besides, everyone else's reasoning for not letting him out is that he'll attack. Can't quite do that without his glaive now can he?"
Mera Wist-Thrune |
Mera turns her palms up in the air, an incredulous bewilderment crossing over her face as the glaive is passed on to Tal. Step takes a step backwards to lean against the wall as she exhales under hear breath, "Unbelievable."
Naberius Belthrune |
Seeing that the devil is quite serious about hte endeavor as the glaive is passed through the bars Tal looks at Naberius. Is this safe? Is there any way that he could exert control over me if I touch the glaive?
"I do not know," says Naberius.
"Can't quite do that without his glaive now can he?"
Naberius sighs. "Yes, it is fully capable of tearing a person to shreds with its claws, not to mention its facial appendages. This thing is not worth your compassion. We must move on, Monday."
Tal Bernard Mainz |
Glad that he waited for confirmation from Naberius Tal withdraws his hand from the glaive. Sorry Monday it is as Naberius states. As much as y may pity him I will not be the one to free him from his prison. The reward is not worth the risk.
Tal Bernard Mainz |
Yes unless someone else does something to change the situation like Monday grabbing the glaive herself.
DM RichD |
The devil stops wailing as Monday opens its cell. The creature stares at the open door thinking a trap before walking through. It nods at Monday and says, Thank you for freeing me! My name is Sza... It stops and looks at the glaive.

He then strikes out at Tal with the glaive. For Asmodeus! it shouts.

Mera Wist-Thrune |
Mera eyes go wide and she tries to stop Monday verbally, "No wait-" but she's too far away to stop her. Inevitably the devil strikes at Tal and Mera's thinly veiled patience all boils. She shoots daggers towards Monday and grinds her teeth in frustration. Realizing that now is not the time for chastising she starts up on song to inspire her allies. Her song starts slowly but quickly begins to pick up speed. "The Devil went down to Westcrown, he was lookin' for a soul to steal. He was in a bind 'cause he was way behind. He was willing to make a deal."
Inspire courage.
Tal Bernard Mainz |
Tal gasps in pain as before he can react the devil struck him with the glaive. The blade bit down hard and seemed to fester as well. More blood than normalall came pouring from the wound making Tal a little nervous as to what would happen next. Focusing on the devil Tal spares yelling at Monday except for Heal thus blasted wound Monday or kill your new friend.
Spitting in pain and anger Tal attacks ruthlessly back, [You will pay for that. And once your dead I will still have your glaive.

Continuing her song about the devil who attempted a bargain, she tries to load her crossbow and fire a shot without hitting a friendly. Unfortunately finding an open firing lane proves to be more challenging that she expects. Firing the bolt towards the fray she hopes it doesn't hit Tal.

Naberius Belthrune |
Round 1:
Naberius hisses a curse, but does not stop to lament their sudden predicament at length. He knew exactly how dire a threat were facing, and he aims to act accordingly. The wizard steps behind Tal, speaking words of power and moving one hand in a series of complicated gestures. The other produces pinchful of hair from his belt pouch, which he sprinkles on Tal as he intones. As with his previous size-increasing spell, there is a feeling vertigo, but instead of enlarging the bodyguard, his muscles start to bulge and twitch uncomfortably as if an electrical current were running through them.
"Put it down, quickly!" shouts the diabolist. "Do not touch its beard!"
Casting bull's strength on Tal. Enjoy! :P

That is would RichD!
Now if you would just stop hitting Tal this would go quicker. I mean really a AC 26 and your hitting it easily. I may have to start using combat expertise if you hit me again.
Mera Wist-Thrune |
Continuing her song she grabs another bolt and begins to reload it. As he pulls it back and picks it up she watches Tal get sliced once more and cringes. Why doesn't anyone listen to me?" she thinks to herself as she takes aim and fires. The devil is difficult to target however and her shot is unsteady.
Why don't we just disarm it?

Mera Wist-Thrune |
Mera loads the crossbow once more and fires a wild shot towards the devil. Frustrated by her lack of effectiveness, she cuts off her performance and plans to draw her rapier and advance.
