Churdon's magical blade is able to make contact, dealing it a wound.

However, it doesn't appear that the solid strike caused any additional damage.

Maybe take a look at this:

Stevesie screams in terror,"Get out of here you fools. We can't kill it. Run away!"

Stevesie runs out of the room to the East, and all the way down to room seven (magnet room). He will trigger the AoO to run away.


I don't think we should leave. I can cast magic fang on Bort to give one of his attacks magic attack type and Churdon's blade lasts for one minute so we should have enough damage to kill it.


Churdon was 15, and Stevesie runs out on 8. What does Ulfgar do?

Ulfgar shakes Bort to wake him up.

Bort can't engage the creature in melee unless someone moves out of the way. Next turn I can cast magic fang on him because waking up an ally is a standard action

Kalani is sick and tired of the creature continually trying to touch us, and attempts to touch the creature back with Cure Light Wounds:

Stevesie slowly creeps back to the room and stands just outside, next to the door. His hand is on the door handle, ready to close the door at a moments notice but continues to watch his friends in foolish confusion as they attempt to fight the Allip.


Why is there a wis save for half? It does take damage at half because all magical effects only do 50% damage if you're not incorporeal, but why the save?

Ok. It was in the spell. I was surprised because most touch spells don't have that.

Ok, the Allip burns a bit as the flash of positive energy radiates out, but remains very angry.

Stevesie is still by the door, and wonders if any of his friends will leave this room alive.

I guess since no one is saying anything that means that they want to skip their turns. Either way, if they don't post they can't correct me.

During the next round, Ulfgar commands Bort to attack the creature

handle animal: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6


It's still just a non-magical attack at this point, right?


It is magical. Or if it isn't at that point then that is when I cast Magic Fang on his bite before he attacks


I think you jumped ahead a turn... this is the turn you'd have to cast it.

When we get back to town we should break the guild back for a tanglefoot bag and a wand of (ghostform? Or was it ghosttouch?). That should cover our bases."

Returning to the room and opening the door, you find that it reveals what appears to be a large closet.

A large fountain dominates this small chamber. Steam rolls off the superheated water pouring from a stone obelisk at the fountain’s center, filling the entire chamber with its haze.
