Alright I'm back. Couple questions as we wrap this up. Since this interrupted our sleep cycle do we heal the 1 hp/level when we finish our sleep or not at all? Also we don't get our spells refreshed because we didn't get a full 8 hours of sleep?

Stevesie shouts, "Bob and weave you fool," and fires his bow at the black dot kobold. yes, click it

Taking watch, there is no healing for normal resting anyway. It has to be 8 hours of continuous rest.

You won't get any spells cast in the last 8 hours, i.e., spells cast during this battle.

The kobolds attacked when Stevsie was on watch so sometime during the third shift or at least 8 hours after we started resting. I think we should just loot the bodies and continue on towards the tree. Also, how does arrow recovery work?

Ulfgar tries to recover his arrows from the fallen Kobold

From the prd

Ammunition: Projectile weapons use ammunition: arrows (for bows), bolts (for crossbows), darts (for blowguns), or sling bullets (for slings and halfling sling staves). When using a bow, a character can draw ammunition as a free action; crossbows and slings require an action for reloading (as noted in their descriptions). Generally speaking, ammunition that hits its target is destroyed or rendered useless, while ammunition that misses has a 50% chance of being destroyed or lost.

It's the middle of the 3rd shift, so most folks have had about 4 hours of rest. I assume you continue resting and the 4th person to watch takes over?

What are we going to find looting kobolds? Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 I guess I can roll for that but my perception isn't that high. After searching around in the bushes for his arrows, Stevesie returns to camp, "I guess we just go back to bed, I can finish 3rd watch and then Ulfgar goes, and we keep rotating 'till morning?"

"Aye. That sounds good. Let's get some more sleep before we head out in the morning. "

Kalani also performs a search of the kobolds.

You're able to find 4x(leather armor, spear, sling), 8 gold, 23 silver, and 17 copper. In addition, one kobold has a small leather pouch containing a double handful of seemingly fresh tree nuts, still in their shells.

The rest of the night is uneventful.

I've changed some of my spells to be more combat oriented.

"Mornin' everyone! Pack your things! It's time to get moving if we want to make it to the forest!"

After packing our things, we continue on our path.

Do we count the misc stuff such as leather armor as straight up half the cost in gold or do we have to keep track of everything to sell later?

Too lazy to do it now, also we can't spend the gold yet, I'm going to share a google doc with everyone and just copy+paste things into it for now? sound good?

Stevesie and the group continue on the trail that is written.

Ulfgar notices a stump with a prismatic, semi-coagulated liquid trickling down from the splintered top. Three small, doll-like withered twig figures are pinned on top.

Grand Lodge

"We will have to watch out for any more occurrences of this brutality," Kalani says.

"I think it's best if we keep moving."

Moving along, the woods are dark with a heavy canopy. As night begins to fall, the dense trees and thick brush of the forest give way, parting seemingly in respect for the titanic darkwood tree that dominates this clearing. Several times taller than a temple minaret, in one direction the obviously ancient tree reaches into the sky with branches like a giant’s arms, while in the other it plumbs the earth with roots thicker than a man’s waist. Its limbs broad and strong, its bark thick and so richly colored as to almost be black, and its leaves the size of bucklers, the giant thing is less a tree and more a cathedral of boughs and branches.

Stevesie proudly points to the tree, "See boys and girls, I told you I could take us to this big o'le tree out here in the woods. Now we just have to find some moss, although I should probably warn you of the ancient mumbo-jumbo spirits that will curse you for the rest of your life if you break a single branch. "Do any of you guys see that?" Kalani points.

"It kind of looks like a rope or a snake"

Kalani attempts to identify the creature using his monstrous insight ability:

If the knowledge check is Nature, Planes, or Religion,
Knowledge Nature, Planes, or Religion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Any other knowledge checks:
Knowledge other: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

He also takes a 5 ft step to attempt to flank with Bort.

Regardless of the outcome of the knowledge rolls, I also gain +2 AC and +2 to hit against the creature for 1 minute.

@Ulfgar - note that you're firing into melee without Precise Shot. Thus, there is a -4 penalty to hit. @Kalani - You need to be diametrically opposed to flank. Your current spot isn't flanking.
