It is magical. Or if it isn't at that point then that is when I cast Magic Fang on his bite before he attacks

I don't think we should leave. I can cast magic fang on Bort to give one of his attacks magic attack type and Churdon's blade lasts for one minute so we should have enough damage to kill it.

crit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
crit damage: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (8, 3) + 3 = 14

If shaking Ulfgar awake doesn't work, you could try attacking him. According to what rob posted it should immediately wake him up.

Is Ulfgar still paralyzed? I thought his paralysis duration was the same as Bort's and he was able to move last round.

making the manor nigh-impregnable.

That sounds like a challenge to me. I vote we try to infiltrate it.

On his turn, Bort races in, eager to finally reach the prey Ulfgar told him to attack. Ulfgar also runs in front of the door to shoot the right wolf.

Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

arrow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Oh yeah I forgot. Thanks!

Now Ulfgar moves back and the spider gets an attack of opportunity.

Oh I didn't realize the spider moved during the surprise round.

Rerolling the two damage rolls
damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 3) + 1 = 9

damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (6, 5) + 1 = 12

I still have 80+ arrows left if you need to borrow some

If we continue doing this until it's dead, then.

attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 5) + 1 = 10

attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 1) + 1 = 6

attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
damage: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1, 6) + 1 = 8

Then gravity bow and bless(I assume) wear off

attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

I assumed the following shot would count as the confirmation but I can do it again

confirm: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Wait shouldn't that have missed? I rolled a 7 to hit.

I think we can definitely win this fight. However there might be drawbacks from killing the pot if and when we find the witch. So do we all agree to retreat?

Bort races in and bites the pot.

bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

I have plans for Sunday afternoon so I can't.

DM rel20 wrote:
@Bort - looks ok now. Want to roll that attack?

I already rolled it earlier. He had a 9 vs. ac so I assume he missed.

It's not letting me post as Bort. It has the alert that I have posted seven things and cannot change my name after 10 posts but I keep clicking submit post and it doesn't work.

Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

confirm critical: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

DM rel20 wrote:
@Ulfgar - is that taking into account the -4 for firing into melee already?

Yes, he has a natural +4 for skill, +1 for within 30 feet(point-blank shot) and +1 for bless for a total net of +2

Can only I make the knowledge check because I noticed it or can anyone? Either way I don't have any of the skills required.

Do we count the misc stuff such as leather armor as straight up half the cost in gold or do we have to keep track of everything to sell later?

Bort's AC goes up to 17 from the +2 DEX bonus from animal focus: tiger so the red kobold's attack should have missed

How does the pet initiative work? Do I command him on my turn and then he acts on his own turn?

Also I made a survival check to gather firewood that was never resolved. Did that happen before or after the encounter started?

knowledge nature: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
knowledge geography: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8

should we just take the rightmost path to the red dot then?
