Background:

The fist came at her, smashing into face, knocking her back into the wall of the damp cell.
“Damn ye, I don't understand ye,” snarled her jailer.
She did not know his name, but she named him “Beard” due to his scraggy black beard, often with bits of his last few meals entangled in it.
She spit blood through her lips as she spoke softly, "क्या, दाढ़ी? तुम क्या चाहते हो"
Beard screamed back at her,“by the dark ones ye shall speak.” Which was followed with a quick and
vicious punch to the her stomach.
“Bah curse you.”
She knew by the sound of his voice, Beard was at the edge of rage, the beating would be even more severe if she continued to defy him. Just a little more defiance to push him over the edge.
She spoke calmly and softly, "आप नाराज दाढ़ी हैं"
And then it came, a roar from the man and then several hammering blows from his meaty fists. She was grasping, her mind slipping, the darkness closing, how did she even get here, then it all faded to black. She awoke in a strange city.

Genji knew little of her past except a for few fighting moments being held against her will in a dark and damp cell. Did her jailers want her because her eyes were made of gold. Or because she had the ability to heal the sick with the force of her own will. They had called her Starchild. If she had been of the stars, she was certainly earth bound now.

The man known as Zenarch found her soon after she awoke in the strange city. She found it odd, the man could understand her. And he did not beat her when she spoke. After she recovered and gained strength, Zenarch taught her the language of the earth bound and named her Genji. The name struck her like a lightning bolt and she remembered something pleasant for the first time since her awakening, she was devoted to the Lady of the Stars, Desna. Of course it was so clear now, Genji was one of the stars in the constellation named after Desna. It was as if she always had this name. Perhaps she had.

After some time, Zenarch told her that she was well and must forge her destiny, but he would give her no clues. She of course pleaded and prodded, but Zenarch would say nothing. Only that soon she would know. He told her to look to the stars for guidance, Desna would show the way for it was not for him to say. The next day Zenarch said his goodbyes and took his leave, he pressed some coins into her hand as he left.

For the next several days Genji stayed in the room not sure what to do. At night she would open a window and peer at the stars looking for a sign. None came. She then decided it was time to go and seek her destiny.

She wandered for a few months until she found the Pathfinder Society. At last she felt like she belonged somewhere. After a few training assignments, she was told to report to the Pathfinder Lodge in Magnimar. Weeks later she arrived on the docks of Magnimar ready to seek her destiny.

Personality:

Genji is calm and quiet. Because she remembers little of her past life prior to Zenarch finding her. The world at large can be puzzling to her. She is kind to those who show kindness and respect. However she is quick to anger at evil acts, her eyes glow like the sun and beings to speak only in Celestial as she brings the wrath of the heavens upon those committing the act.

Appearance:

Genji is small and lithe, it is almost hard to believe some one so small can get as furious as she does. Her golden eyes when happy and content shine like the sun on a warm summer day. But when angry, flare like a vengeful sun god ready to smite her enemies. Her skin is pale and contrasts with her black hair that hangs down to her waits when not worn up.

For everyday wear, Genji wears her cleric vestments of Desna, a rich deep purple and blood red gown. When she is expecting battle she dressed in scale mail and welds her mace. She wears little for adornment, only a golden necklace in the shape of Swallowtail Butterfly, the holy symbol of Desna.

Grand Lodge

I present John Johanna, Aasimar Inquisitor. I don't have the time tonight to put together a character sheet, but if accepted I can draw one up pretty quickly.

Description::

John is an older looking man, 6' tall and muscular build. He has crew-cut hair, balding on top, but what stands out is what little hair he has is not grey, but pure silver.
He carries himself with total confidence, and his face is etched into a stern look that doesn't often change.

Personality::

He is a quiet person, but when he does speak his voice has a slightly crazed tinge. His actions are often seen as cold-blooded, whatever he does he does completely and totally for his god, having no qualms in ending a life to serve his deity.

History::

John Johanna grew up an orphan, raised by a strict order of monks, who instilled in him a fanatical obedience to his god. As time went on he became somewhat of a recluse, people avoided him as he claimed his god talked to him directly.

Some months before the adventure begins, this culminates in his god telling him to kill a heretic, which he does by bashing his head in with a hammer. Instead of being put to death, the monks which raised him instead petitioned on his behalf that he be sent to Magnimar to join the Pathfinder Society in the hopes they can channel his energies into something more beneficial to society.

I guess your question answers my question of whether I could submit them both. If I had to choose, I would pick, Angelica. She was built off the fact I don't often get to play rogues, despite them being one of my favorites, and I really like how she came out.

The drow is a fun concept, and now that I have the profile built, I may use it another time. I'm just not as attached to the personality of the character quite yet, and I may still need to tweak it to get a feel for her persona.

< Currently a link to a blank profile, will fill as I can. If too slow, thanks anyway for the inspiration.

Aloys is a grappler, his third level is going to be fighter and from seventh onwards eldritch knight, so I think he should be in the assault cathegory although he also casts spells.

Are you still looking for more players, Bigrin? I see over a dozen people have already replied and submitted characters, but have no idea for how many players you are aiming.

I'm a student from Europe so I have more than enough time to play, but posting at 9pm-1am American times will be a bit tough (since that might be a time window during which a lot of players will post). Hopefully that ain't a problem! I'm currently making my character, I'll post him as soon as I'm done.

Anyone is welcome to submit up until I close recruitment (which will be wed or thurs, probably). As for posting times, all I am really asking for is the ability to check/post at least once a day, 5 days a week. Obviously the more people post, the faster we will move through the adventure.

Alrighty! Suli Inquisitor it is! Now, let's see... archetypes...

Vanilla, Heretic, Infiltrator, Sin Eater.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Krass Kargoth. Let me know if there are any problems with him! I thought of going for a chakram at first, but just couldn't get it to work :)

Background:
Harsh cultures breed harsh people. Born the son of a hobgoblin envoy from the Chitterwood (Isgar) to Belkzen, he has grown up in a ruthless warrior culture. His parents got in trouble with a local chieftain and a group of Pathfinders accepted their request to take Krass and his sister Davora with them. The whereabouts and faith of his parents are unknown to him. Up to his 12th year he lived in Belkzens Hold, after which he was relocated to Absalom. Here he was educated in the way of the warrior and eventually got his first job for the Pathfinder Society: to aid the Pathfinder lodge in Magnimar in any way he can. With the faith of his parents unknown to him he has every reason to get closer to Belkzens Hold to find out what happened and who has to pay the iron price.

Personality:
Years of training in Absalom smoothed the jagged edges of his temper. Krass rarely shows any emotions, not even in battle. When duty calls he fulfills his role and when off-duty he loves to go camping out in the wild, jogging about whilst carrying a backpack full of rocks about as a kid would drag a cart full of toys. Those who treat him with respect will encounter a professional soldier, those who mock him for his race should thank the lodge for civilizing him. Krass distrusts those who use arcane magics.

Appearance:

It is hard to discern Krass' race as he is clad in rough leather with layer upon layer of heavy chain. Thick leather gauntlets reinforced with strips of iron, studded leather boots with iron bands and a bascinet helmet with nose guard compliment the heavy chain and leather. Loose fitting clothes of earthen brown and ashen gray cover the armor and keep all but his orange-red eyes covered. Broad blunt features are hidden behind the above. His ears are decorated with a couple of piercings, all of them bits from various sorts of armor: souvenirs from those he has defeated in battle. These serve as his personal shrine to Gorum.

Congratulations rpgramen, your random character is a Suli Heretic

Hmm, I'm blanking on a good seperatist dwarf cleric concept that I like. I may need to bow out

Nothing says you have to use the random character. It's mostly there for people to try out concepts they wouldn't normally use.

As for the dwarf separatist, it might be as simple as a follower of Torag emphasizing the dwarven deity's aspect of Strength. His belief that faith in Torag makes you strong is looked on askance by other dwarves, but it seems to work. torag still grants him daily spells, and bolsters his strength when requested.

Checking in.

All I have right now is my phone, so I can't read the PG and the srd hasn't included the traits or anything yet, if I can do without yea, if not Ill have drop out.

For your consideration.

Alanthian Darlok
Elf Rouge

Stats:
Str 14, Dex 18, Con 12, Int 12, Wis 10, Cha 10

Discription:
Alanthian stands 6' tall and weighs 145lbs. He has brown eyes and short black hair. He wears a cloak cut from dark green fabric with black trim over leather armor, with an ancient Elven curve blade on his back.

Background:
The Wall of Names. That's what got me here, the day my parents' names were added to that wall was the day The Society became my home. My parents died in some far forgotten dungeon, or ruins, or some other place everyone else has forgotten. Here they took me in, to train me, to raise me in their image. Here I have lived since my 7th year. They taught me to pick my first lock at 9, how to read forgotten languages at 10, and how to kill another person while unseen at 12. The years has taught me much, forgotten lore, weapon mastery, and the basics of magic to be an operative of The Society. Now it is time to leave. To go forth and make my own story like all the ones I have read and studied in the Chronicles. Time to prove myself a Pathfinder.

@everyone - I understand not wanting to put together a fully-statted out char for something that might be thrown away. However, in order to make a selection I need the following "fluff" (at a minimum): your background, why you chose to be a pathfinder, what your future goals are. I also need enough "crunch" to know how you will contribute to the party in combat and out, what weapons you prefer to use, and possible future class changes/prestiges. So, not necessarily a full character sheet, but enough to make a decision on.

First batch of comments is ready. If you're not in here, don't worry. I'll get to you soon.

Kozarik:

Bio is a little brief, but looks good. For some reason the misspelling of "rogue" was the first thing I saw on your sheet. I don't know why. The pathfinder orphan bit is good, a nice lead-in. Maybe a bit more about Alanthian would serve well. How are you getting access to the curveblade?

Tialara:

A couple of minor things. 1) Your base speed is listed as 20 feet. Is that right? Also, I didn't see where your FC bonus went. Other than that, looks good.

Krass Kargoth:

Looks good so far.

Aloys Kaddren:

Crunch-wise, it looks fine. Are there any motivations for the character other than "I want to be a pathfinder"?

Angelica Nenaviste:

I really like the background, and the character as a whole. I'm not sure if you've finished making the crunch tweaks, but I noticed that you appear to have a 22 point buy for your stats.

caffeine_addict:

If you want to flesh out John some more, he could use a few more historical points, future goals, and how you see him fitting in with the party. What would make this lone wolf want to be a part of a group? How would he react? Outside of combat, what role would he play?

Valkur:

Love the description and background. are you intending on being in the thick of the fighting? Or mostly at range with spells?

Liara Noredal:

I don't know if you double checked, but you appear to have your stats based on an 18 point buy, instead of 20. If you wnat to flesh out the background a little more (and change it from the previous AP), it could use a few more historical points, future goals, and how you see her fitting in with the party. You hould also already by a member of the Pathfinders. Outside of the background, what role do you see yourself playing out of combat? What enemies or friends do you have? Any goals, other than "I want to be a pathfinder"? You don't really need the PG or traits. It is more a matter of getting a feel for how you see your character interacting with the others and what motivates her.

Malena Imoroa:

You appear to have a 25 point buy stat selection, instead of 20. I like the "devil may care" attitude. It really seems to fit with my idea of a flighty kapenia dancer. And, it's good to see someone using the bladed scarf. Where do you see your favored class points going?

Shabbezz Whorlpad:

I know wizards don't need the strength or wisdom, but if selected you are going to have to RP the snot out of those stats. i don't normally worry about encumberance, but for really low Str chars I start looking at it. Fortunately wizards don't really carry that much gear. anything in her background that drives or motivates her? any enemies? friends? At the end of the day, is her only motivation to study thassilonian runes? as an enchanter, how do you plan on handling combats with undead or constructs (both of which may be involved)?

Adrielle Terryne:

Nice hooks and a curious (but refreshing) choice of deity. I saw your spell list, but not any feats or traits. How do you see yourself in combat? in the mix, or standing back? What role outside of combat? Any motivators other than finding your onetime lover?

Eowithe Mournegrym:

Looks good so far.

ph unbalanced:

I have never seen a staff master before, and I think you did a good job with her. The background is perfect: lightweight, but a lot of potential DM hooks. Your FC says bard, but I assume that's a typo. Still taking the FC bonus as skill? Other than that (at first glance) it looks good.

Adyn Abette:

Looks very good so far. I've never had a ninja in one of my campaigns before. A low Con can hurt, but there are ways around it (for the most part)

Aloys Kaddren:

Everythign look sokay. Is there more you'd like to add to the background? Specific events? Motivations? What would encourage him to stop his monument study and join a group of thugs to go off on an adventure?

Harbug the Slasher:

Looks pretty good. Care to elaborate on what drives Harbug? I assume the need to prove himself, but is there anything else?

Rameth the Delver:

Looks good so far. go back over the crunch and double check the numbers.

Thordan Silentail:

Tl;DR - no, seriously. I don't have time to read a short story while at work, vetting these apps. That's why I suggested a "skirt-length" bio. The rest looks fine.

Cassim Deschain:

The bio is missing from your character page. The rest looks pretty good. Interesting character the dicebot handed you.

Bedwyr Glimerbeard:

I really like your bio. It fits well with the character the dicebot handed you. The Cha hit can be hard, but you've got it covered, I think.

Sarusa Almanthis:

Looks good. I like the Menhir Savant tie-in. One thing. I don't see how you got access to the elven curve blade...unless you took the Ancestral Arms ART and I didn't see it.

GM Bigrin:

Yes, she has Ancestral Arms; I noticed it was missing as well. I think Hero Lab messed up and is still giving her the Skill Focus on Handle Animal. I can manually fix it.

I'm thinking of slightly rewriting her history--I didn't want to make yet another tortured loner bent on vengeance, but there is less conflict in her background than might make a good hook. What do you think?

Second batch of comments is ready. If you're not in here, don't worry. I'll get to you soon.

Tynan Kaddren:

Looks good so far.

Crugold Battlebeard:

Looks good so far.

Bandon:

Bio looks good, if a bit brief. Cartridges for the guns shouldn't be a problem in this campaign, as you'll be based in a city.

Woiak:

Looks good so far.

Bimbur Longstrike:

The bio is good. The gear...it look slike you forgot to scale back the gold to max for level 1 (60g for monks). That makes having a longbow out of the question. My recommendation is to kit him out wihtout the longbow and beg the GM for mercy and access to the Pathfinder Lodge armory. Also, it look slike you have an extra trait and feat. Perhaps he was level 2 and you haven't scaled him back yet?

Lefig:

Bio is a little too short. It has nothing of Lefig's joiing the Pathfinders, what motivates him (other than voices from the heavens). The rest looks fine, but a little more in the bio department would serve well.

Caradrien:

Bio is missing. I'll check back in a day or two. Rest is fine.

Petronicus di Baradin:

Bio looks good, but I am assuming it came from a prior submission? It needs to be tweaked to fit the current AP. Other than that, everything looks fine.

Axolotl:

I think she has plenty of hooks as she is. I certainly won't dissuade you from rewriting her, but plot hooks don't have to rely on a tortured past. i can use friends and acquaintances as well, or events like the "great canine stampede" as well.

Ok fixed, you know how it goes, make a char for a game, don't get in, submit it to another one, forgetting to change somethings here and there, also the favored class is going to arcane pool +1/4 point a level. well there we go all fixed up, anything else you would like to see?

If hobgoblins are a bit of a problem, I can just as easily play a human or dwarf. In both cases the idea stays the same: a hard-ass professional soldier who is on the path of discovering he can do more than just listen to his superiors.

@DM Bigrin

The more I've been thinking about the character, I would be primary be ranged. Which means I probably should swap str for dex.

I don't have much experience with Oracles yet, so I'm excited for the chance to speak in tongues during combat.

GM:
Yeah, I realize the stat block isn't finished.. I'll have it up as soon as I can.. probably in a couple hours. That said, I have more than is on the sheet, I'm just working out all the formatting and will post it up all at once.

The campaign trait is Exchange Agent (with a focus in Knowledge (Geography)) and the personal trait is intense artist (Shelyn) which gives me a performance skill (singing) as a class skill as well as a trait bonus. For feats I'm thinking improved initiative and iron will.

In combat, I see Adrielle as largely standing back, but she's melee capable, so whatever is necessary. I would probably guard the other casters. When I get more spells I'll be focusing on buffing.

Outside of combat, in terms of utility I'm investing in Diplomacy (so I could be the face if we don't have a higher CHA character), and I will at least train in all of the knowledge skills available. Beyond that, you have the basic cleric utility spells.

For motivations, I guess I didn't make it clear enough in the bio, but beyond her love of art and music, she always kinda wanted to get out of Absalom, and see the world rather than be stuck in the docks forever. When her lover came along, it kind of all fell into place, so beyond being worried for him, she really just wants to see something different and make her mark. Beyond that, a driving force in her life is her parents' disapproval. They had very low expectations for her. She wants to set out to prove them wrong, and show that she can do bigger things, even if only to prove it to herself.

Crugold should be good to go. He's got equipment and everything all ready.

GM:
I like to keep track of my own encumbrance with Hero Lab so that I don't ignore any penalties that I'm supposed to have; in any event, I plan for this character to travel light when I can and use spells like floating disk or ant haul when I can't.

I tried to keep her background short and sweet, but if you're looking for an expansion then I would add that Quantium's university scene is a cutthroat pit of academic vipers. Rival wizards are always looking to outmaneuver one another, steal secrets, uncover new discoveries, and of course, publish before their colleagues. She would naturally have friends in some departments (off the top of my head, I can think of a fellow gnome enchanter, a tiefling conjurer, and a human sorcerer who would all be chummy with her, as well as the elf transmuter who got her in contact with the pathfinder society in the first place). She would also have rivals who would seek to outmaneuver or undermine her work (like a suli evoker or a half-elf summoner who would love to see her make an error), faculty who feel that her position threatens their own (a fetchling illusionist springs to mind). She could also have new contacts in the Pathfinder Society in Magnimar where she just set up shop, such as the venture captain. The Aspis Consortium could also throw a wrench into her plans by stealing artifacts or securing sites before she can get to them. And as a former student of the Magaambya academy in the Mwangi expanse she could have a teacher with whom she still remained in correspondence during her time in Nex.

As for her motivation, yes, her main goal is to study and further her academic career. She is not totally myopic about this, but it is always first and foremost for her. She does, however, enjoy the company of others as well as spirited debate with those of different backgrounds, and is something of a gastronome, enjoying new foods whenever she can try them. Beyond that she pretty much just takes life as it comes to her, and is not overly concerned about the affairs of others or the state of the world at large if it does not pertain to her studies or her career. She hopes to one day become a respected member of her university's faculty, an innovator in the field of enchantment, and a renowned sage, but she has no plans of starting a family of returning to Southern Garund permanently.

I also do not plan to focus entirely on enchantments; I still plan to use area spells, abjurations, evocations, and conjurations, (grease, burning hands, web, create pit, magic missile, summon monster, etc.). I will also be able to prepare anti-undead necromancy spells such as disrupt undead or command undead once I take Opposition Research (Necromancy) as my Arcane Discovery, which can be done whenever I gain a new feat or wizard bonus feet (and until then, most corporeal undead are still subject to grease, web, energy damage, or summoned monsters. As for constructs, there is always shatter, malfunction, control construct, and apparent master (which is an Enchantment spell). As long as I remember to pick up the requisite spells when I have the opportunity, I don't see why I can't remain effective through a variety of challenges. And there is always the option of just buffing the tougher party members when we encounter something that I simply haven't otherwise prepared for.

I am going to back out. There are plenty of good submissions, and although it would be pretty awesome to play the character I've been assigned, I can't even seem to put everything back together even though it is my day off. I might be a little overbooked. Anyway, have a good game all.

DM Bigrin:
I totally missed that. I think I might have been bouncing my stats around for the other game, to get the right feel, and didn't realize I forgot to drop one when I added another. I dropped her Chr by 2. Other than that she only needed to add up to max gold to meet your standards. She's fixed now.

Thank you for the compliment on the character/background. If you read her older posts, she might try the same (or similiar) trick at first meet again, unless you think it might stir up a bit too much like before.

Harbug replies:
What drives me? What drives you? I already told you, I want power for when I go back to my orc clan and take control from that geezer who banished me. The Pathfinders are a great means to find that power--dig up artifacts and learn magic from others, you know? Of course, if the same power can impress a beauty like Zeljka, then so much the better. Maybe you view it differently, but everyone in this room is here for their own benefit. Except that paladin over there, he's just wierd.

As for me, I've lived on the edge of life and death. It's not fun and it's not pretty. I'll not go back there ever again; not if my magic or my falchion have anything to say about it. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to finish eating so I can get to sleep early. I've heard the venture-captains have a habit of waking "the new guys" in the middle of the night, some kind of hazing or something.

Essentially Harbug is seeking to increase his arcane prowess. Scrolls, magical devices, potions, wands, staves--and many other things that are found while working for the Society benefit his goals. Furthermore, he can watch and learn from other Pathfinders and his own, safer (for being with others) journeys (i.e. experience).

DM Bigrin:
1. My base speed is 20 because of Medium Encumbrance. 2. What exactly do you mean by FC?

EDITS to Rameth:
Made a couple of edits, added another spoiler that talks about Rameth the Delver's tactics to add a little crunch :) Also added a skill that I had missed in the stat block, a very important one at that-Disable Device. Found that I was a couple pounds into Med encumbrance. Got rid of some rations and the bullseye lantern/oil, I really liked the flavor of it, but will have to wait till I can get lighter armor, or better backpack. I think my other numbers are correct. But I will check a few more times.

Rameth's Pathfinder Pitch:
Why become a Pathfinder? Rameth laughs, hard. He wipes a tear of laughter from his eye before continuing.

You don't know a true friend until you have charged into a room of kobolds, or orcs, or Zombies to fight at their side. You don't know true joy until you stumble out of a ruin, almost blinded by the bright light and the sweat, ichor and blood in your eyes, clutching that long lost relic. You don't know excitement until you have that moment with your hand in a small hole trying to open a secret door, and the slightest mistake not only locks the door forever but releases poison gas into the tunnel.

Rameth pauses, fingering the clasp on his cloak, made from an ancient copper coin.

So why become a Pathfinder?...Couldn't tell ya. Rameth smiles and waves the waitress over and signals for another round for the table.

EDIT: Made another fix on number crunching

Grand Lodge

Historical points:

In Johns earlier years he would often stand in the market square, reciting old prophecys about the end of days, preaching judgement on the wicked. On more then one occasion this lead to him being run out of town by the fed up townsfolk.

As time went on he became more reclusive, and the voice in his head started convincing him he was chosen to bring the righteous wrath of his god down on his enemies. One day, when preaching, a particularly vocal heckler started to slam his god as a false god. without even blinking he walked over to the nearby smithy, grabbed his hammer and crushed the mans skull in one blow. snapping out of it he realised he was in danger and fled to the monastery where he pleaded for his life. (This then leads to his trial and being sent to the pathfinders, also I will choose a god soon.)

Future goals:

John is driven with a single purpose, believes he has been chosen to rid the world of evil, and the monks have decided to channel this energy through the pathfinder society.

Party Role:

In combat John exclusivly wields hammers, favouring a warhammer and throwing hammers. He has teamwork feats which allies can take advantage of if they take the same feats. He also has some healing and buffing ability.

Out of combat John spent many years with the monks, who taught him a lot of things, so he will be able to assist the party with knowledge related matters.

He is part of the Pathfinder society because he has been convinced this is the best way to go about his mission, but he is a very suspicious person, and likely to watch his companions as closely as his enemies. That being said he is only interested in weeding out and destroying evil-doers, so his interactions to his allies will soften as he is convinced of their innocence.

Role: Combat support with standard scout/rogue abilities major with trapfinding.

DM Bigrin wrote:
I have never seen a staff master before, and I think you did a good job with her. The background is perfect: lightweight, but a lot of potential DM hooks. Your FC says bard, but I assume that's a typo. Still taking the FC bonus as skill? Other than that (at first glance) it looks good.

Thanks, this is the first time I've tried a character like this. You're right about the favored class -- that was a typo, her actual Favored Class is Magus, and the bonus I want to take at first level is the skill point.

As I think about the direction she'll go in, I think she'll end up taking two levels of Flowing Monk (probably character levels 2 & 4), but everything else would be Staff Magus.

Ridge here:

I kind of wimped out and just dusted off and updated the cleric I was using in the Shattered Star game that died. Half Orc, half Varisian, but pretty chipper rather than bitter about life :)

I'd like to express interest.

However, because of all of the character randomness going on, I can't quite follow what you have as far as diversity goes, so I'll just request a role or class or even race/class as a potential fill, something you might be light on. I do this regularly (I have fun with anything - never played the same class in all my years of tabletop, and I always seem to have more fun the next campaign I play) so don't worry about giving me something I won't enjoy). I will put up the information you were requesting as soon as you have something for me, DM Birgin.

Thanks!

Malena Imoroa:

No problem. Nothing else I need to see.

Krass Kargoth:
There's no reason why hongobs would be a problem. Pathfinders take all sorts. Of course, the others might not see it that way. Plenty of RP opportunities.

Valkur:
Go for it!

Adrielle:
I knew you weren't done yet. I was just trying to be thorough and make sure every submission got at least a quick run through.

Shabbezz Whorlpad:
All good info. Thanks

Oterisk:
Sorry to see you go. I know what it's like to have no time to make a character I said I'd put together.

Angelica Nenaviste:
No problem. I think there will be enough decent RPing going on that your tricks should be just fine

Harbug:
Good information, all

Tialara:
Okay, I'm just not used to "base" speed being changed by encumbrance. Just a matter of different formats. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a copy/paste error. As for FC = "Favored Class"

Rameth:
Good information to know

caffiene_addict:
Okay, thanks for the extra info

Kozaric:
Everything looks fine, except I still can't figure out how you are using the curveblade.Feat? ART? Archetype? Divine intervention?

pH unblanaced:
I hadn't thought about flowing monk. That could be a winner there.

pakak:
Good enough

Vendis:

GM:
Character sheet is done. Please let me know if you need any other information. On a side note, I'm sorry if I gave off a weird tone with the last post, if I did it was totally unintentional. I know you're just being thorough and I appreciate it :)

Also to elaborate on combat role, I think until I get usage of some more spells Adrielle will be a bit more in the melee. Once I can start relying on not running out of spells I would largely stay behind buffing, acting as secondary melee when needed.

DM Bigrin:
FC Bonus: +1 Skill

DM Bigrin:
I had made the character up with Heirloom Weapon before and did not change it. I can take that as a trait instead of Blade of the Society. I really like the flavor of this thief using his mothers sword.

Edited a little more Crunch Edits in Backstory. Gives DM a little room to build hooks.

DM Bigrin:

Filled out more background as you asked. The basic idea is that Lefig is out to learn more of the history of his homeland, and was directed to the pathfinders as the best way to meet that goal.

DM Bigrin:

Character link here Genji Starchild

I did a small update to my background on how Genji decided on a last name. Basically to honor the stars and Desna.

And I swapped my Dex and Str.

Still need to finish gear, but I'll do that if picked. And make any other adjustments you may want.

Thanks!

The random thing sounds fun, if you don't need anything filled.

Barbarian, Fighter
Bard, Rogue
Druid, Oracle
Summoner, Witch

Human, Dwarf, Half Orc, Tiefling

Here's the background and goals and all that. I'll have a character sheet either tonight or tomorrow. Here is Sera Makelas, half elf Chirurgeon:

Background:
As a child, Sera felt a daughter's love for the gods. Later on, after discovering the truth about her father, a man she'd never met, she raged at them with a vitriol that threatened to consume her. She took pride in calling herself a blasphemer, even as she abandoned the church of Shelyn. After visiting Rahadoum, a true nation of apostates and blasphemers, Sera's wrath cooled, and she now sees her viewpoint as respectful disagreement.

Sera's anger at the gods is quite likely a form of transferrence. As a child she felt that her father must have been a paladin, a true hero from all the stories, to have come to Mendev to fight in the crusades. Learning the truth that he was nothing more than a low templar, a mercenary in every sense, left her feeling alienated, an feeling that she extended to the gods that, in her view, were allowing the worldwound to fester and allowing good men and women to suffer and die attempting a task that should have been done by Iomedae, or Caiden Cailien, or any number of other divine beings.

After losing her faith, Sera turned to alchemy. It was something that she was practicing as a supplement to her training as a cleric of Shelyn, but after casting that aside she focused on it instead. She came to delight in the fact that there were few god granted miracles that couldn't be replicated with the right ingredients. After concluding that the gods were not on her side, Sera decided that she could not bear to stay in Mendev a moment longer than she had to, and turned to the Pathfinder Society. She didn't think much of it, the Pathfinders were a way for her to escape, though she has since become grateful that she joined. Her first mission involved going to Rahadoum, and she was grateful for the chance to see a nation composed of people who thought like her.

Sera doesn't remember much of the mission, it was fairly run of the mill, but what she does remember is that the people of Rahadoum did not think like her at all. In many ways, she is still the innocent child that worshipped Shelyn, to have been so disgusted at the sight of a slave market that her stomach turned. Even with the stress, she performed well, and was allowed into the Pathfinder Society. Her two requests were that she not return to Rahadoum or Mendev.

Became a Pathfinder:
Sera was near despair when she joined the Pathfinders, and it was mostly to get away from Mendev, when she couldn't afford to leave on her own. Now, that she's had time to rethink her views, she is still glad she became a Pathfinder, though now she enjoys seeing the world, and faith or no, she still wants to help people.

Party Contribution:
Sera will perform the role of party buffer/healer. Her first discovery will be infusion, but she will keep a supply of healing infusions in the meantime. Beyond that, she stays back away from the enemies and attacks with bow and bomb. Also, her religious upbringing gives her some base of knowledge to work from in history and religion.

Future Goals:
Wow, now there's a big kettle of fish. She has two semiconflicting sets of goals, neither of which she is willing to admit to anyone. On the one hand, she realizes that her attitude toward the gods is childish, and that her issues with her father are all this is about. Knowing what to do and being able to do it aren't ever really the same thing, so she devised another goal: make her way to Absalom and pass the Test of the Starstone, so that if the other gods won't lead the battle in the worldwound, then she will.

Krass Kargoth's page.

I also added 'feature goals' to it:
To test his skills in battle. To experience many different kinds of adrenaline rushes. To explore the world. To find the orc that is responsible for separating him from his parents so he can separate him from his mortal coil. To show the Society he can be more than just a soldier, that he can be a leader in battle.

I'm going to go ahead and pull out, as fascinating as this sounds. Thanks for the opportunity. :)

Sorry to see you go, but I can fully understand.

@everyone - thanks for posting the updates. I think I have plenty of good submissions, and want to take my time over choosing, so I will be closing recruitment as of 11:59 PM EDT tomorrow (Wednesday); roughly 40 hours from now. New submissions are welcome up until that point. Please finalize your submissions before then.

(none), Possessed Oracle, Enlightened Philosopher, Seeker

I'm actually happy landing an oracle. I rolled one up once for a game, but never got to play it.
