White Hair (su) a white-haired witch gains the ability to use her hair as a weapon. This functions as a primary natural attack with a reach of 5 feet. The hair deals 1d4 points of damage plus the witch’s Intelligence modifier. In addition, whenever the hair strikes a foe, the witch can attempt to grapple that foe with her hair as a free action* without provoking an attack of opportunity, using her Intelligence modifier in place of her Strength modifier when making the combat maneuver check. When a white-haired witch grapples a foe in this way, she does not gain the grappled condition.

Background

Aloys was born twenty-eight years ago in Magnimar. His father, a young mage named Valne Kaddren had an affair with the elven witch Alya Goldleaf from Kyonin. His mother was a devoted calistrian, and didn't love his father. As she hadn't planned to be a mother, she returned to Kyonin as soon as Aloys was born, leaving his father to raise him. Valne was only seventeen but with the help of his family managed to bring up a pretty fine young man.
In his youth Aloys was a rebellious kid, he sneaked out often, sensing the magic of the magnimarian monuments and being fascinated with them. When he attempted to sneak into Lord Mayor Haldmeer Grobaras' mansion, the Defiant's Garden, the patriarch of the Kaddren family was fed up and ordered his father to take him abroad and enroll him to a magic academy.
Valne bought passage for him and Aloys in a ship with destination Absalom. Once there, Valne brought Aloys to the Arcanamirium, where he had once studied so Aloys could take the entrance test. Despite that his large body and slight absentmindedness made him seem a mentally slow brute, he had a sharp intelect, and passed with ease. Valne wanted Aloys to take up wizardry, but the boy became fascinated by a minkaian arcanescenti that practiced witchcraft named Noro Hirashi.
Hirashi was a Pathfinder and practiced a mystical art of the Dragon Empires that uses one's hair to attack and bind enemies. Aloys entered the Arcanamirium as an apprentice, and Hirashi gifted the half-elf with his parrot familiar, initiating him in the mysteries of his patron and the white hair technique.
Hirashi saw Aloys' natural curiosity and physical prowess as the characteristics of a Pathfinder, so he encouraged Aloys to apply to the Grand Lodge. Aloys became an initiate, and started his pathfinder training. He took the Confirmation unusually early, and two years after his initiation, he was awarded Pathfinder status.
Around that time, the Kaddren Patriarch and his wife disapeared, and Aloys' father's cousin became the Matriarch. Valne had been offered a tenured position in the Arcanamirium, so Aloys requested to be assigned to the Magnimarian Lodge. Aloys has recently returned to Magnimar, and after reporting to the Heidmarch Manor, he went to offer his condolences to the Matriarch. He has been studying the effects of the mystical monuments of Magnimar, but would like to someday study thassilonian structures, in particular the recently rediscovered Xin-Shalast.

Description

Aloys is a tall (6 ft. 6 in.), strong and robust half elf. He has shoulder-length white hair that he keeps brushed backwards (although with his mystical fighting tenchnique he can alter it's lenght at will). He keeps his beard shaved. His amethyst eyes are nearly without white. He normally only wears his armored kilt, a white cloak and white leather boots. He only takes his spear if he expects trouble. Despite his severe face he is quite friendly, with a ready smile and a kind word. He is a little oblivious, and that translates to social situations.
Kyras, his parrot familiar, has white feathers and a red crest. He is a serious bird, and likes to read history treaties. He is often pearched on Aloys' shoulder.
