Fantastic. I'll put an * near the ones I don't have archetypes for, so instead (if it's ok) we'll use different specializations, bloodlines, mysteries, gods for randomnizers there.

GM Eldritch Horror |

Here is my submission, Lefig Gasub, Shoanti Oracle:
A young Shoanti man of average height and build, with dark eyes, olive complexion and a clean shaven head, Lefig is dressed in the practical garb of a traveler. He has an intricate tattoo done in blue ink on his left shoulder, proclaiming good fortune and a prosperous future. Occasional bursts of odd words and inhuman syllables are heard whispered around him, getting more pronounced when Lefig is stressed. He carries a stout cudgel and a quiver of javelins, armored in studded leather with a traditional Shoanti shield known as a klar, along with a collection of charms and talismans.
Lefig is deliberate and patient, often counseling against rash actions and hasty decisions. He is very friendly with other people, but owing to his somewhat sheltered life, reacts with slight annoyance when others do not recognize his position as a seer. He is most at home under his beloved stars, often forgetting those around him.
It was three years ago that Lefig first saw the star he named Karet, after a wise woman featured in his tribe's folklore. That was when his voice changed and his mind opened to the wonders of the heavens. For three years, he served his tribe faithfully, giving omens and auspices, forecasting crops and weather. But now he feels a longing, pulling him to Magnimar and its strange monuments, urging him to look into the past of the Shoanti and the land itself. Bidding Batuez, his father, and Tekrakai, his mother, goodbye, Lefig sets forth to find what the stars hold for him.

Big OM |

DM Bigrin - How would you rule the Serpent runner trait (-1 to primary weapon penalty for two weapon fighting) and Spell Combat?

EntropyRules |

So with regards to animal companions I can choose from the Druid list but I have some quick questions. Would using raptors be acceptable? I was reading up in the players guid that smaller companions are better in this campaign, but most of the smaller animals are significantly weaker. Anyways, just thought I'd ask. I'm looking at coming from kaava so I figured more feral stuff would be my thing. Let me know what you think. I don't want to make the game less fun or not get chosen by throwing in random things. But I also don't want to plan and build for a companion I can't have.

Edward Sobel |

been following and decided to not go random (already have a chracter created using randomness in the random game)
anyway (rambling a bit) I have seen lots of character concepts generated but do have completed submissions?
I am working on a wizard submission but also have other ideas to fill any holes where submissions are lacking.

Smite |

Hmmm, okay. I have a concept, but I'm intrigued by the Random Generation. So let's see if Randomization sparks inspiration:
Classes:
Monk, Bard
Inquisitor, Ninja
Oracle, Druid
Alchemist, Sorcerer
Races:
Catfolk
Gnome
Sylph
Strix
Here is my original concept if you are willing to consider it:
Mechanically, I based her on the Atomie in the Bestiary, but scaled her back with ARG rules. She comes out to a 12-14 RP build, on par with the other races. (I know you said no ARG races, but I'm hoping for a little leeway with a *Bestiary* race, that's been scaled back.)
The original bestiary build and my ARG build are on the alias. If you are willing to consider, I promise you fun.
If you just can't see it, then please roll me a random character generation. Thanks.

Walking away from his practice in Serpent’s run a group of kids shouted obscenities after him. He felt the anger beginning to boil, it was never far beneath the surface. He turned towards the kids, spoiled brats properly servants children, and roared. It scared the living daylight out of them and as the fleet he laughed. Master Lloyd had instructed him to ignore taunts like this, but the old magus wasn’t here. As he walked closer to his home in Beacon’s point, he began thinking about, what they had called him, a bastard, a monster. It was true, he had never known his father, it would be nice to meet the man, when he asked his mother, she would always get this hard look and cut him of. He would have become a monster had it not been for Master Lloyd who took him from the streets and into his gymnasium. The old man had noticed his feeble attempts at coping the exercises his students had performed near Keystone one day. His friends had said the Sczarni had cried the day, they lost his muscles to the books. He chuckled at the thought. Everything had been good had it not been for Gabradon Derexhi a fellow student. Fellow perhaps but not friendly, that man had a stick up his ass and looked down on everyone. Now he had another option to leave. Apparently some Heidmarch woman had suggested to Master Lloyd that he joined the pathfinders. He wondered what kind of lot they were? Master Lloyd seamed to think it was a good idea and had given him some equipment, so at least he would give it a try. Perhaps this would be a way for him to earn respect and admiration, we’ll see.
I am not sure about his alignment. I can’t find a perfect match. I think CN is the closest. I envision him not caring much for restriction and society but I don’t see him trying to topple it. I don’t think he would go out pf his way to safe or help a perfect stranger. Answer to a question yes, please save me from the evil baron properly not.

@Big OM - I'd allow serpent runner to work with spell combat.
@EntropyRules Raptor is fine. But, don't worry about "weaker" or "stronger" Let the DM handle adjusting to that. Play what you want within the rules and your character concept.
@Edward Sobel - I'll have a list of submissions and interest posted soon. We are going to have more than enough, it looks, like, in every category, so I'd say just roll up the character you most want to play and cross your toes.
@Xzaral & Misroi Good luck and have fun!

Adding my submission:
Tynan’s, (or as she likes to be called, Tye), story begins at the Viperwall, on the eastern shores of Ember Lake in central Varisia. Born to a Chelaxian father and Varisian mother, or at least that is what it was supposed to be.
Deep in the catacombs of the Viperwall fortress strange things have been known to happen. And that is such a case. It is said that when a human is born in the shadow world the child becomes touched by the darkness on the world.
The exact circumstances of Tye’s birth are a complete mystery, her parents never returned from that realm of shadows, but Tye did return and servants to the Kaddren family of Magnimar brought the infant child home to Magnimar to be raised in the family.
Unfortunately the unusualness of Tye’s appearance and her unique abilities did not sit well with the new matriarch of the family. Tye was cared for by the servants of the house never afforded the luxuries of the family proper. As a result Tye never even realized her true heritage that she was the baby sister of Zimandi Kaddren.
But there was one who knew the truth. A warrior by the name of Dorin Kaddren, he was there the night Tye was born, He was the one that escorted the infant home and it was he that protected her from her sister’s wrath.
Time went on and one can only protect a child for so long. Zimandi had made a deal with the Creepers of the Underbridge. Selling Tye into the child slave market.
As time went on Tye worked among the child slaves her spirit broken and her heritage forgotten. Eventually her number came up and she was to be sent to the White Eyes of the sewers.
The White Eyes quickly realized that Tye was not one of the regular children sent to them. And fearing the wrath of the shadow realms the White Eyes gave Tye to a man by the name of Ozuno, (a Tien man and a part of the Brothers of the Seven.) Ozuno trained Tye in the arts of shadow magic and began to groom her to be an assassin for the Brothers.
Tye learned her magic well and excelled at it. Her natural talent for shadow magic was extraordinary. She learned the secrets of the ancient Thassilonians and mastered the art of self-alteration.
Tye was well on her way to become a skilled wizard and assassin but something deep inside her stirred; she knew evil was not in her heart. She needed out.
She Used her skills to escape and returned to the family home, but before she could reach the Alabaster District she met with Dorin.
Dorin informed her she could not return home Zimandi would have her killed on sight. Dorin showed Tye what was needed to become a Pathfinder and sponsored her to join the society.
Tye now an initiate under Dorin’s tutelage and soon is due to complete her confirmation.
As a gift, Dorin gave Tye her father’s heirloom walking cane and her mothers’s signet ring. The only things that are left to identify Tye as a Kaddren.
Tynan Kaddren AKA Tye, AKA the shadow witch
Race = Fetchling
Class = Wizard shadowcaster (plan to multiclass as a ninja but mostly wizard)
gender = female

Alright, a Sylph Ninja is definitely something I can work with.
Officially Ninjas can't use archetypes. But if you're allowing them I would choose from:
Vanilla
Eldritch Raider (Gillman Only)
Chameleon and
Swordmaster (Tengu only)
If you won't allow the race-restricted ones, then just Vanilla and Chameleon.
~~~
When choosing which to submit, I would appreciate knowing if you would consider the scaled back Atomie or rule it out right off the bat.
Thanks, this looks to have fun possibilities.
John Lo |
For your consideration John Lo.
I have a question.
The point by, 20 is great. Would it be except-able to have a spread of: 10 str, 20 dex, 10 con, 10 int, 13 wis, 10 cha? That is after half-elf racial adjustments.
Class: Gunslinger(Musket master)
Race: undecided
Alignment: CN
Traits: Exchange Agent(Campaign) and reactionary.
John was different then most young adults of his age. While most grew up playing imaginary games and pulling harmless pranks, John grew up having to think fast and act faster or get hurt. As he was a child on the frontier of war around Alkenstar. John spent his days learning the arts of gunsmithing and the art of war. It was this knowledge that the Pathfinder Society lodge in Alkenstar saw in John. They took him out of the frontier and helped him grow sending him out as a scout for missions as he grew up. It was for these reasons that when the request came for a pathfinder with gunsmithing and scouting skills. John was sent to Magnimar, as his experience in the frontier would come in handy. After arriving in Varisia, John reported to the Magnimar lodge and placed his expertise at the venture-captain’s disposal.
Vuvu |
Hey there Bigrin
I wanted to confirm my interest and give basic details. I will be able to do up all the details of the character build tonight.
He wandered down into, what he now knows, was a crypt and began to play. He had imaginary sword fights with the shadows cast from the stairway down, using the leg bone of a raided tomb as his sword. He played there until it was dark, when he slept.
He was awoken by his frantic parent the next morning. Their ire was averted when they found that Rameth had discovered a golden amulet that when sold would be able to feed them for several weeks.
As Rameth grew so did his interest in exploring these old ruins. Over the years he has found several treasures, encountered some dangerous undead, and had several run ins with other would be explorers.
It was during one of these run ins that he first encounter the Pathfinders. He had been the first to open a secret passage in a tomb, when he was jumped by other raiders. This likely would have been the end of the line for Rameth had a group of Pathfinders not arrived on the scene, also with an eye on the secrets hidden within. They drove off the others and healed him. In return Rameth showed them the secrets of the tomb, and assisted them in combating the Zombies that rose when one of them opened the wrong passage.
Shortly thereafter he joined the pathfinders and has not regretted it since.
--------------------
74 yrs old; 4' 4"; 190 lb; black hair, hazel eyes
Born into a reasonably prosperous dwarven clan in the city of Larrad, one of the prominent cities of the Five Kings Mountains, his clan fell into shame due to the actions of several of the elders, and was forced to leave the dwarven realms. With most bitter from the fallout of the scandal that made them exiles, and shorn of the bonds that previously held the clan together, it fell apart quickly, and Crugold found himself fending for himself very quickly.
Deciding to embrace, rather than fear, the changes brought unto his life, and being somewhat trained as an acolyte during his younger years, he sought out a temple that would suit his temperment. Finally settling on the temple of Irori, he found a master willing to train him in the ways of the style master. Unfortunately, being human and advanced in age, his master passed away before Crugold could learn much beyond the basics. Not finding any other suitable masters willing to take him on, he decided to take what little training he had managed to receive into the world to see if experience could help him refine it until he became a truly deadly weapon. To this end, he traveled to Absalom, joined the Pathfinders, and was sent to Magnimar after his induction, where he as been ever since, doing odd jobs here and there, and spending time practicing in the local arena, while he waits for his first real assignment with a patience that many in his position would find near impossible to sustain.
Appearance: Surprisingly lithe for a dwarf; clothes and gear are both simple and slightly beat up, though it doesn't seem to bother him much; hair and short beard is kept neatly trimmed as much as possible; looks more like a washed up mercenary than a monk in training
Personality: quiet, patient, friendly, but slow to truly trust, humble, never talks about himself anymore than absolutely necessary
