“I didn’t exactly arrive to this city under the most... normal of circumstances.” Shinobi said, scowling a bit at the reactions of the others to him not having a Fake SIN. “I’m not stupid, I know I need a Fake SIN ASAP, and all the money from this run is going to go towards it.” Shinobi wasn’t exactly going to tell these new people he had amnesia for seven years... shaking his head, the orc sighed.

“No matter, splitting up and having a group trying to slip through the border sounds good. I agree these should have the fake envelope as its riskier.”

No worries, Nine shrugged again, I'll ride with him, that puts three with the real thing in case something happens. We'll have the coyote with us... and if the coyote is the problem we are screwed anyways.

Nine pauses a minute before continuing we should exchange contacts in case something happens. If we need help we'll contact you and come help us after you make the drop off, if you need help we'll try to get there as quickly as we can.

If that works for everyone... Nine lets it drop off waiting for objections.

Wait... does he have a car or bike, if not this won't work. As I only have a bike.

No, I think Gunner was offering his car as a second prong. There's no reason at all to take the rigger out of the rigged SUV and put her in as a passenger in a non-rigged car. If things go nuts, you'll want the rigger in, using VR to control her car that everyone is in. Other than that, yes, I think the splits are correct, Gunner/Whisper/Mina in the SUV, and Shin & 9 with the coyote

Assuming Gunner is cool with the others taking his car.

How many combat drones can you field at once Overflight?

Without returning to get them, none. I have a couple of surveilance drones, but that's it. This was supposed to be a meat about a job, not a 'storm the border RFN' job.

I'm cool with taking my car...it's not a jackrabbit...it's a Ford Americar....plus it's got a smuggling compartment we can pout the envelope in to hide it.

The others leave, to get a fake envelop and drop it off back with the other group who contact the coyote, Stalker, when informed about a job he will respond. Okay, ese, meet you at Sloan Lake Park.

It is a 4:37 when you contact him, Sloan Lake Park is about a 15 minute drive. By the time the other runners return with the fake envelope it is 4:47. When the coyote's group meets its 5:02

The other group, wait in traffic for the longest time, when they reach the security check point one of the officers asks Where you headed? I would like a charisma + etiquette roll when you interact with the guards.
if everything goes correctly the SUV team will be in the CAS at 5:22.

She asks politely as she jacks out of her vehicle, locking it down in the process. She then slowly reaches to remove the cable from her datajack, and then steps out of the car. "Here's my ID, again..." She points out she's already offered it to him once already. If he wants paperwork, she has no issues making sure he knows it's going to be full blown paperwork.

Mina gets back in the SUV, plugs back in, disables the shut down, waits for Whisper to get back in the SUV, and then pulls up an external camera to keep an eye on Gunner's americar.

"Well, that was fun. Good job, I deal with machines better than people. Hopefully Gunner's IDs are as good as ours." She comments through the SUV's internal speakers as her body goes limp and the vehicle starts up again. "By the way, I never asked, who got the real envelope? Us, Gunner, or the Sewer Brigade?" She asks Whisper.

A text popup hovers on the front windshield, visible to the interior of the SUV only.

MINA : Yo, chummer, we're on our way to the restaurant, don't be late! Traffics a b!%~$, and the border guards are being asshats today. If you're late, you're paying for the drinks!

" Yeah, the guards were really on form today. So pleasant. Gunner has the real one, right? " Whisper replies settling into the passenger seat. She decides to summon a spirit to do a bit of astral over watch for her. She takes out a handful of feathers from her coat pocket and holds them to her forehead eyes closed, concentrating on the air.

"Good idea, you watch the magic side, I'll watch the physical side. We'll stop at a parking garage halfway between the border and our wayward group, and be ready to respond if anything hinky happens." She offers as a plan. The window rolls back up on it's own after the drone launches.

This should tell you what you need to know. Nine offers the introduction letter from their Johnson to Stalker.

Stalker takes the letter, reads it, crumbles it up and throws it in his car. Get in of follow, don't get lost. From the park, he will lead them on a route through a series of underground tunnels, which will exit at Cheesman Park in the CAS district.

In many parts of the tunnels, there will be obvious Aztec style artwork inscribed on the walls. Stalker will explain that the Aztlan sector government built these tunnels. He’s pretty sure that the Aztlaners still have some holdouts living in them.

Mina sends an encrypted message to the other runners, with her current location in it. The decryption code is the name of the restaurant they took the job at, hopefully they will think of that.

Okay, things were going smoothly so far... the group didn’t seem to have too many issues about splitting up and having to go cross border without a SIN. Shinobi guessed the fact that getting one was his main task ASAP likely helped with that honestly, but perhaps these guys were just tolerate due to being new to the city, who knew?

Regardless, the orc kept quite as things went on. Figuring that unless he had anything else to contribute, he might as well keep quite. Currently he was just a freeloader, not doing much to help out and actually being a burden on the crew. Hopefully the next mission would be more to his skill sets. If a battle broke out, Shinobi could help, but he was better up close than a range...

For sake of group cohesion we will say that you manage to meet back up and are caravaning for the moment, with a few cars inbetween each of you so it's not so conspicious.

After making your way into the CAS, you decided your best bet was a bee-line to the UCAS border. But, somehow, you’ve managed to hit another traffic snarl. Impatiently glancing at a clock, you grab your commlink and start checking the gridmap for a less congested route to the border. That’s when you notice a jet black Nightsky slide in behind you. The doors open and four obviously Asian men, in tres chic suits pile out of the back. The four begin walking directly towards your vehicle.

As they approach, you suddenly notice the door of a Mexican restaurant across the street open. Another four Asians – a human woman, an ork woman, a male troll, and a human male sporting a long goatee – also begin walking directly towards you. Seems these may be interesting times.

Need more information, are we gridlocked, or is it just busy? IE: Is the car trapped, or does Mina have some wriggle room?

" Drek! " Whisper curses under her breath.

Any of these people Awakened? She thinks at her spirit as she concentrates on the two groups.

She shoves on her helmet and puts a hand on her Ingram ready to pull it if necessary.

You are fairly surrounded and boxed in by traffic. The groups seem to be focusing on each other as much as the cars. They seem to be going for the middle car.

Mina smoothly moves the SUV into a gap in front of the limo, and then pulls into the next lane and accelerates around a corner. The aerial drone will keep watch on Gunner and make sure he makes it out ok.

Nine watched and held on to the 'oh $h*! handle' with one hand, if things got bad he was ready to defend themselves with his magic but...

Once Whisper is out, Mina hauls her car back around the corner, and runs down the people with weapons drawn, backing up over them if necessary. "Pick up whisper and get out of here Gunner, I'll cover..."

He then drives away, trying to put something large between them and the mob gunmen. He also hits a hidden switch on his steering wheel.

I'm looking to get a truck or van between us so they can't shoot at us as well as triggering the changing license plate mechanism.

Gunner manages to get out from the boxing off the cars and speeds off with whisper and 9.

Well things have gone swimmingly so far. Now you just have to manage one more border crossing, then deliver your package- apparently to a Mafia higher up. Since the last crossing went so painlessly, surely this one won't be any worse right? It's still rush hour, so it looks like you have to make the same decision again. Cross legally, run the border, or use the other name your were given. Decisions, decisions.

Nine leans back in his seat, and shrugged, couldn't be that important to them... no one shot us yet.

He just hoped their luck would hold.

The coyote, Peaches, says she is available to do a border run and says to meet her at the corner of 6th and havana, which you quickly discover is a dilapidated garage. Peaches will wave you down and get in the car and have you drive to the lowest level of the garage.

Once there, she'll open up a rusted chain link fence, which barrricades off what appears to be a maintenance area. Driving through the antiquated plumbing systems, a ramp leands down to a series of tunnels. The tunnels are a mix of a sewer expansion project, abandoned parts of and its rumored they might have been emergeency shelters constructed during the height of the cold war, back in the 20 th century.
