***Announcement***
I have received a $10 Convention Voucher either during TPKon or Gameday VIII and receive the following message during payment processing. What does this mean and what can I do about it?
That code is not recognized or is not valid for this order
After contacting Customer Service it sounds as if the website was having trouble processing the vouchers recently and all of them had to be deactivated. This does not mean that you are out of luck. If you received a voucher and it is not working please contact the wonderfully helpful Paizo customer service department @ 425-250-0800 and they will assist you in redeeming your voucher.
If anyone needs additional help or has any additional inquiries please don't be afraid to shoot out a PM to the VO team and we will help where we can. I will send this out to all of the lodges to try and get the word out to everyone that received a voucher.
Apologies for the inconvenience,
-Tyranius

In case anyone is interested in PF1 there is a Humble Bundle going on now.

Yay, so many resources added!
P.S. Anyone else try out the Alexa Starfinder today?

I started to, but had to step away, I really enjoyed what I tried!

Review for the Alexa Starfinder skill is available from the Know Direction podcast (now featuring Owen K.C. Stevens as a regular host). Their review seems pretty generally positive!

I want my witchwar to be part Healer/Mystic type, but at the same time, not multiclass. My paragram shifts will consist of healing, protection and teleportation.
I could take the prevent wounds at level 2 and eldritch secret at level 5 (mystic cure and keep updating) paragram shift.
Or I can take the divine champion archetype. Which means no paragram shift until I'm level 5. And since there is no ability at level 4, I lose nothing when I gain the level 4 divine ability right? Except for not doing infinite worlds spells at level 2? The downside to divine champion is no mystic cure until level 6, but I get more uses in the long run, or rather I can use those spells without taking up my own spell slots. Already looked into Medic, nothing there.

Announcement concerning Outpost III
Outpost III Dates: March 30 - May 18, 2020
Speaking of Outpost III's contest we have generated the form for GM's to sign up for the Specials. While the actual announcement for Outpost III has not been posted yet I would like to offer the opportunity for GM's to toss their names in the hat for GM'ing the Specials. (Expect the actual announcement beginning of February)
Why are you posting this so early?
I am posting it early so that the GM's will be identified and notified a week before the announcement is made so that you may plan your other submissions accordingly.
What Specials are being ran? (Keep in mind you may only GM one during the Con)
What is the deadline for Submission?
January 13th
When will we be notified by?
January 27th
Where can I submit to be a GM for one of the two Specials?

Hi, everyone. Since one of my current games is winding down, I plan to offer a GM school session starting soon. GM school is intended for people who are new to GMing, new to GMing in Play by Post, or have a little bit of GM experience but still want to learn the basics. All students in this session of GM school will participate in a classroom, and also be placed at a table with a mentor. That table will play together through a scenario, with everyone acting as GM part of the time. I will be leading the classroom discussion. Your mentor will be an experienced GM. If you are interested in participating as a student, please fill out this google form.

***Announcement***
I have two major announcements: First, Outpost III has officially been announced. Please check out the link below!
Outpost III: Putting on the Ritz!
Secondly you may ask yourselves how can I play in some of those PFS 1E games if I have already done so. Well more good news has arrived!
This comes right from the top
Pathfinder Society 1st Edition GM Replays from the website are usuable! Please do the following:
For P1, because paper trumped online, just tell the GM and have them write replay at the top. It will come up with the error message on the site, but you can ignore that because the chronicle is the primary resource.

Not new at all, but I do have a goal to get the Five Novas for Starfinder. Is there a benefit for someone like me signing up, or just simply ask when it comes time?

GM school is really intended for GMs with little or no experience in GMing play by post.
For more experienced GMs who want to improve their skills, I would suggest joining our GM lounge. We have a few times run a game where a very good GM runs a game for intermediate GMs, explaining what they are doing. Such games are announced and recruited from the GM lounge. You also can contact me and I can help put you into contact with a mentor who can work with you one on one.

Got it, don't want to waste my time on a course with basic math when I'm on Calculus. I'll probably ask a GM in that Mentor thread when I get a few more credits and only dming one game at a time, where I can focus it. Was just making sure I wasn't missing out on anything important.

I can't see why that would be a problem - its the same players in the same scenario, you are just changing the medium.
You wont get an 'official ruling' about it, as it's such a rare event, but given both mediums are legal (pbp and ftf) there is nothing that even suggests it isn't legit.

Spacefarer Redelia wrote:I'm sorry, "OSP"?I can't see any reason that a hybrid game like that wouldn't be legal, but it could not be part of OSP or any PbP convention.
Sounds like it might be fun, though, if you have a group of people for who it would work.
It is the Online Support program. To encourage growth in the Online Play region and support events that don't qualify for Paizo convention support. The link is below for more information.

I have now done a couple hybrid games! I've also had the "We met in PBP and now we're playing together in real life" table at a Special at PaizoCon. Hybrid games can work well if you are all local to each other but have intermittent scheduling problems, or if you know you will all be able to make the same convention.
It's fun sometimes to switch it up!

Out of curiosity, what computer system are you using that doesn't let you copy images out of PDFs?
DoubleGold |
A refurbished HP labtop. Windows 10 I believe. I cannot type on the pdfs, I must use the pdf writing pen which makes chronicles a little sloppy.
Also another note question, this one about 2-11 using spoiler, trying to figure out the boon, so that's way the spoiler. I got the pdf gifted to my play by discon.

It is not just about power, it is also about keeping unusual races rare.
And blindsight is pretty powerful at times. Not so good against undead in this case...
