@Darya, it makes sense for you to take up Radiance at this point. Radiance is a Legendary Weapon and currently has a +2 bonus. It has two uses of legendary power each day, and a single item power. Uriel selected "Returning" but since you will be taking it over I'll let you reconfigure if desired.

You can take any item power except for "Upgradable" since the AP upgrades Radiance as you go.

In Hero Lab, to model Radiance properly without getting errors, you'll need to add the "Legendary Item" Path Ability. That means you'll also need to add a Personal Adjustment (+1 Mythic Tier Abilities: Mythic Path Abilities). Don't use the HL-built-in version of Radiance. You need to build it as a custom weapon.


Start prepping your characters for 7th level. We aren't there yet but will be soon.

I would change the Item power to Unstoppable Strike: This weapon bypasses all armor. The wielder can expend one use of legendary power when attacking to make the attack against touch AC. If she instead expends two uses of legendary power, the weapon also bypasses any deflection bonus to AC the target has. An item must be a weapon and be a minor or major artifact to have this ability.

Makes sense for Radiance to be able to strike like a Brilliant Energy weapon when I really need it to. For the +2 Bonus I'd go with +1 Evil Outsider Bane. Also since I serve Ragathiel does it take the form of a Bastard sword as per the description?

"The weapon shifts and changes its form to match the paladin’s deity’s favored weapon (in the hands of a paladin who doesn’t worship a deity, the weapon remains a +1 longsword)."

So I hear you need a new divine caster?

A long long time ago I tried to get into this game, I didn't make it through recruitment, but I wound up briefly running a companion game to it for some of the other folks who didn't make it in. Unfortunately Real Life interfered (my spouse got cancer) and I didn't have the time and attention span to run games any more, but I do still get to drop in and play (much lower commitment level).

Looking for anything in particular? Super-healer? Item crafter? Demon killer?


You actually GM'd for this group for a while, too, right after Asmodina ghosted us. I was playing our cleric at the time, Aberus.

Adding a divine caster to the party would be a good thing as the party does not many options for status removal at the moment and limited divine casting. They are light on in-combat healing, but that is easier to work around (I don't want to force anyone into a particular role in general, but I especially don't want to force someone into playing a healbot).

Wow, I don't even remember that. Must be how scattered my brain was with everything going wrong in life.

My limited understanding of mythic tier gaming is that everything is very bursty, that you either kill the enemy in your opening volley or you die. In-combat healing seems less critical under those conditions, compared to putting down protection spells and being able to raise the dead?

Correct on the mythic rules. In-combat healing has never been a great option for PF1/3.5/OGL games and mythic makes that even more true.

Hi, Jereru. The delay is my fault, and you are not intruding. I would like to see our party get back to six PC's so that the make-up can survive the loss of a player. Life events can strike without warning, and have done so.

The current makeup is: bard, paladin, rogue, wizard, with a 5th in the wings that is looking at a divine caster. If slotting into that interests you, then we should chat.

I'll PM both you and Jesse so we can talk the details of working you into the campaign and its events using something more subtle than a crowbar.

If you want to look at my GM style, I stepped into the role at the start of book 2.

Ok, here we go. Hope it's not too out there (for a human cleric).

This character is a pure healing/support build—no combat abilities whatsoever. It may be useful to think of her like a wizard (very fragile) who casts healing spells, buffs, and defenses.

Before the events on 16 Aroden
So Bron's mom was an evil witch/sorcerer/whatever who gave birth to twins, Bron and his sister Alissa. Since Bron reached his puberty without showing the levels of power - and evilness - his mother was expecting, she prepared a ritual to deprive or Bron of all his power - magical, life, anything, which would leave him as a dry carcass.

However, his willpower prevailed, helped by the image of a mysterious woman. He managed to break free and fled. Seeking information about his vision, he ended up in Iomedae's church, which he embraced with open arms and adopted the Inheritor as his "second mom". The cult saw a good asset in his devotion and strange inherited powers, and sent him to Kenabres for service.

After 16 Aroden
Bron helped the resisting forces with several things like finding supplies and eliminating demonic patrols. He took part in the attack to attract the forces of evil so the heroes could rescue the wardstone. When it shattered, the wave of mythical energy also impacted Bron.

After the liberation of Kenabres, Bron was sent with an expeditionary force as escort for the scouting vanguard. The heroes would be sent with the army the following day.

I stopped there because I'll have to see with the GM whether Bron was captured, hidden as the only survivor of the scouts, or whatever. He might not even like this backstory. But it was the best way I could find to start with some kind of link to the group. We'll see...

Most of the mechanics are done as well. I opted for a frontliner to relieve some of the weight from your shoulders, but if you're up for anything else just let me know.

Quick chargen summary for our new folk. If the other players see I've missed something, please add it in.

- 20pt buy
- background skills (from PF unchained)
- hero points (from APG), with the only exception being "+8 before rolling" isn't an option since players can preview their rolls
- non-rolled HP (full HP at 1st level, and PFS standard beyond that: dX becomes X/2+1)
