Eadie Navhelan

Hello everyone and thanks for the message, GM!
Desmond, this is Antonella's player from bluedove's Kingdom of the Impossible Game.
Mohok, I think this is the first time I have been in a game with you ... I'm not sure how that's possible ;)
Eadie is up to date and ready to go.
Mohok

Mohok, I think this is the first time I have been in a game with you ...
It does seem that way, though we've overlapped with many GM's - Lithrac, EF, and the sadly absent Tektite. Glad to make your acquaintance!
Quiven Glist
|
Hey there, since we seem to have the fighter types all lined up I can bring this guy here if 9th isn't too high for tier. I probably need to update his header and check on purchases since he is 9.2 now.
Mohok
|
Hey Quiven - nice to see you - we've played together a few times, though I don't think you've met Mohok before.
Upaynao - I'd say whichever character you'd like to play. It'll be good to have some ranged combat, so that's good either way. Desmond is also a paladin, but given how limited our casting seems likely to be, it wouldn't hurt to have a bit more. In short, I guess, go with whatever you feel like. Isn't that helpful?
Eadie Navhelan
|
I'll just echo Mohok and say play who is most fun for you, Upaynao.
Mr Rych, so nice to ‘see’ you. Ready to go smash some robots and take their stuff? ;)
Eadie is a vanilla, damage-dealing melee fighter. Her player loves roleplay and cooperative, tactical combat.
To business!
Player: Yours is mined
PC: Eadie Navhelan
Level: Fighter 8
PFS # 69095-3
Faction: Scarab Sages (I have a Scarab Sages Faction Pin, GM)
Advancement Track: Standard for gold, XP and PP
Day Job: Profession (scrivener): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 (5 gp)
The Man Behind the Curtain
|
Oh, also this scenario features plot development for Silver Crusade, Exchange, and Libery's Edge factions. If you are waffling between characters, that might help your decision as well.
Party so far:
Eadie - Fighter 8
Mohok - Ranger 8
Quiven - Rogue 9
Desmond - Paladin 8
Upaynao - Gunslinger 7 or Archer 9
APL is currently 8.0 or 8.4, so pretty firmly low-tier. I'll recruit a 6th player in the 7-8 range to fill this out and then we can get to character introductions. If everyone wouldn't mind clicking on my name... that is the big banner that says The Man Behind the Curtain and reading the information there, you'll find a list of general rules I have for my games. Make sure you're all happy with what you see there.
Quiven Glist

OK, I'll stick with Quiven.
PFS # 79644-3
Faction : Grand Lodge
Craft (Sculpture) Day Job: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Brother Desmond
|
I have neither played nor GM'ed 6-03.
I've updated Desmonds gear, so I'm ready whenever!
Player: Andreas F (aka SkipperD)
Character Name: Brother Desmond
PFS # 35574-12
Faction: The Exchange
Dayjob: Diplomacy (caravan vanity): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23
Jezabel P. Skythe
|
Upaynao here. Because of dicebot and I's tumultuous relationship, I was hesitant to bring this character to the table. But... based on the advice of counsel... Erm, the GM, I'll go ahead and play Jezabel rather than Herodotus (the archer). I am trying to save him for whatever the sequel to Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts might be, so it works out overall.
I will need to double check the character tonight to make sure I am up to par with purchases, but other than that I should be ready.
Player: Greg Rebelo aka Upaynao
Character Name: Jezabel P. Skythe
PFS # 43451-8
Faction: Liberty's Edge
Day Job?:Caravan (Bluff) vanity: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
Mohok
|
GM Debug - if the 6th player you recruit had a PC with some knowledge skills, or the ability to do some magic, that would be extra cool and useful!
In the meantime:
Player: Khelreddin
PC: Mohok
Level: Ranger 8
PFS # 80015-3
Faction: Silver Crusade
Day Job: Profession (sailor): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
For purposes of the chronicle, and since I forgot to tell you in advance last time, Mohok is on Slow Track.
Dr. Strang

I could help out, if you folks need a 6th.
Sent the GM a pm when I saw his post, but figured I could respond here, in case the players cared too =)
Not sure what sort of caster you're after... but have a 9th level Mystic Theurge (which covers both) and a 8th level evoker type wizard if you want some extra arcane offense.
The Man Behind the Curtain
|
Strang, I think you've gotten my PM by now, but yeah, you look like you'd fit perfectly. With Jezabel as a level 7, you would fit in fine with either an 8 or a 9 as the tier will be pretty solidly low. As long as you have the skill gaps covered. Just note, you are playing in a party with a pair of Paladins, so you may need to tone the necromancy down a bit.
Mohok
|
I'd think the mystic theurge would be a good fit. We can already do a lot of damage, some buffs and debuffs would come in very handy. I particularly appreciate that the good doctor has haste memorized twice, for example.
And lots of Knowledges and languages is nice too.
Dr. Strang
|
@GM: That's ok, the necromancy is more intellectual and professional curiosity. =)
Unsure on the skill gaps, would depend what you need. He has ranks in most of them (except geography, local, and nobility). But the bonus varies from modest to good.
OK... will stick with the Doc then.
Though Spells are liable to change before we start =)
He has two technology spells in his book that might come in handy, for instance, if there are robots and the like.
Anyway:
Player Name: Aaron
PC Name: Menes Strang
PFS#: 84637-13
Faction: Silver Crusade
Class/Level: Cleric 2 / Wizard 1 / Mystic Theurge 6
Advancement: Normal
Day Job: via Temple Membership Vanity Heal: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (13) + 20 = 33
PS - have played (PbP) with Eadie, Desmond, and Quiven before (under different guises)

I don’t believe so, GM.
About the only thing close would be my hardcopy Pathfinder Character Folio re-roll.
Jezabel P. Skythe
|
I have Black Powder Bravado, which allows me to reroll when using a deed that requires an attack roll.
Only reactionary ability I can think of
The Man Behind the Curtain
|
While they can complicate PbP, there are certainly ways around it. Often if people are using reactions I'll request for them to give me some if/elseif/else clauses to govern how they'll have them work, and then I'll put DCs for effects inside of the spoiler instead of outside. I want to do my best to make sure that everyone is able to play whatever characters they wish, even if they are a little bit messy for the format.
Mohok
|
Just updated my alias, only changes since last scenario are an upgrade to my Cloak of Resistance, from +1 to +2, and I spent 2 PP to replace my expended potion of Fly.
Dr. Strang
|
Popping this out here, so as not to clutter the gameplay thread. =)
But you can take 10 on knowledge checks... at least out of combat.
Nothing in the rules says you can not.
Lore Master merely allows you to do so when distracted too (during combat-type situations et al)
There have been many discussions on this particular topic.

Forgot my reference...
The official FAQ entry on this very subject.

Sorry GM, while more peremptory than reactionary, Eadie possesses a clockwork key from Faiths of Balance.
It’s full description is listed in her profile, but in a nutshell, constructs won’t attack her until she has attacked them, unless they are specifically ordered to attack her by the being that controls them.
The Man Behind the Curtain

Hear ye, hear ye!
Let it be known that the following Pathfinders have performed a great service for the Society:
Jezabel P. Skythe, Black Powder Extraordinaire
Mohok, Technophobe for a bloody good reason
Dr. Menes Strang, Gold medal in 'keeping Mohok alive'
Eadie Navhelan, Ice Cream Connoisseur
Brother Desmond, Faithful of Abadar (So sayeth Brissa)
Quiven Glist, Proof that one does not need to understand danger to subvert it
Let it be recorded in the Pathfinder Chronicles
Everyone, let me know if you have any faction card goals to check off. I do believe there were many opportunities for most of you here.
Dr. Strang
|
Got it, thanks!
Only one box left to check. Pretty sure there were no divine casters of evil gods in there, so it remains so =)
Did the Magus fellow have a spellbook?
And Strang will scribe Levitate and Lightning Bolt from those scrolls we found. (Can succeed at both by taking a 10 (even with the -5 for the later being opposition school).
Eadie Navhelan
|
Got mine!
Explore an ancient site during the course of an adventure. To qualify, the original occupants must have abandoned the site at least 1,000 years ago, and it must cover at least 2,500 square feet (a 50-ft.-by-50-ft. area).
Thank-you so much for running, GM. I had a ball!
Thank-you to my fellow players for also being awesome. Hopefully we can adventure again sometime.
Mohok
|
Chronicle looks good, Mohok is pleased to have the commendation from Queen Galfrey! I enjoyed the titles you bestowed on each of us, and the one for Mohok is right on. He's got constructs as a favored enemy because of horrible things that happened to him early in season six, and they nearly happened again when he decided to revisit that season.
It was a blast playing with you all, some really fun characters in this group, and a great DM. I look forward to crossing paths with you again, on the boards and perhaps at a real table. I'm a regular PaizoCon attendee, if any of you ever show up there.
Jezabel P. Skythe
|
Same, it was a pleasure to play with all of you!
GM, did Jezabel defy local tradition or law in a way that benefited her and her allies?
And I'm trying to figure out if I can afford to volunteer at Gen Con this year. Never done Gen Con, and it's a heck of a drive, but I'd like to meet more new faces!
Edit: GM, my PFS number is 43451 -8, not 42451. :D
The Man Behind the Curtain
|
Eadie: Yep... that site is pretty large, and its original (living) inhabitants have been dead since the rain of stars.
Jezebel: Looking through, unfortunatley there is nothing you really did to defy local tradition or law, in fact other than defending yourselves against overzealous leaguesmen (who aren't really the law anyways) you actually pretty well followed the traditions of the city perfectly. You did however free slaves, defeat a known slaver with CR >= your level, and if you wish to retroroleplay, were just in a region where slavery was legal, so you could go ahead and make your check if you wish. Also, your chronicle should be fixed now.
Strang: The magus did not in fact carry his spellbook with him. Back at his locker room I'm afraid.
Also, everyone remember if you have a previous seasons faction card you may add the current season's card to the list and continue to work on either. The rules for stacking multiple cards can be found at the end of the first page of the document. I'm glad you enjoyed the scenario, and I certainly hope to see you all more on the boards. The only convention I attend is Strategicon in Los Angeles, so if any of you go there as well let me know.
Quiven Glist
|
Hmm, I'm in Murrieta now so I may need to check this Strategicon thing out.
