There’s a tiny part of me that thinks we’ll see an intrigue/espionage hardcover next year.
That would be pretty awesome, another way to frame it would be like, nations, warfare and espionage. Could easily stick an Inquis in there, support Ninja as like a class or archetype or something, give other Martial options, give some generic rules for strongholds and stuff like we got for siege weapons in G&G. You could have army themed things, espionage themed things, diplomacy and politics themed things. There's a lot they could do with that kind of a concept.

If they use the same pic to illustrate the blog announcing the mystery playtest as they did both times before, this time it will be significant.
So, Inquisitor and Strategist.
Well, it could go either way, really.
There's "third time's the charm" and then there's "a running gag just gets funnier".
So... maybe?

Ly'ualdre |

I say they use it again, but actually tell use what's being playtested, and they are classes that have nothing to do with the aforementioned picture (say Kineticist and Shifter), just for the luls.

For the first 2023 Adventure Path, I'll throw out a bold guess of something taking place in Vudra.
It would be bold and fresh, and the support is mostly there now - we will have psychics by then (and what better way to showcase them?), monks are obviously a thing, and a number of Vudran ancestries (especially if Lost Omens Impossible Lands gives us more, via Jalmeray), and even some deities too (and again we're very likely to get more before then). Paizo's also got some Indian freelancers on board for Impossible Lands, and I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't the only assignment for some of them.
It likely wouldn't be a lore-rich deep dive, more a fun three-part romp akin to Fists of the Ruby Phoenix, but it'd be a good introduction to a region that's always been around, but not really featured properly.

Set it in the region struggling with a tide of aberrations and I'm there with bells on.

Sayre confirmed on Reddit that something is coming with hobgoblin weapons.
Guess we're free to speculate away what that could be.

First guess, equipment book. Not unheard of, but not very interesting and rather unnecessary imo, atm anyways.
More likely, imo: Eye of Dread book, which Oprak is a part of. Lines up with recent releases. But, with Impossible Lands, unsure about it. I feel like two region books is too good to be true. Lol
Third option, and my personal hope: Advanced Ancestry Guide. Great place to put said weapons, along with expanding all existing (and maybe introducing a few new?) Ancestries. The Shoony demand it.

It's a long shot, but between Sayre's comment about hobgoblin weapons and another prediction on reddit about a release with bugbears as a playable ancestry...
We could be getting a book about goblinoids, in a similar vein to Book of the Dead! I'm not sure I'd put my money on this and honestly it does seem a little tight of a thematic (vs. Fey: The Book, or Aberrations: The Book), but who knows! They could expand the theme around it somehow so it's more than just goblinoids, or just... Include a lot of new content about them, too!

another possibility is a lost omens release focused on the classic "monstrous ancestries" and their lore and place on Golarion, as a themed follow up to the Ancestry Guide.

Book of greenskins.
Goblinoids, orcs, ...
Or Book of wild Ancestries, with the above and Minotaurs, Centaurs ...
I'm pretty sure the majority of hobgoblins would take offense at being called "wild." :P
I'm rooting for a possible warfare/martial focused book, or an equipment-heavy book. With the number of categories of equipment we have, and the fact that level bounding means that it's more important to have a range of options for each type at different levels, an equipment-focused book would be appreciated in filling in gaps for different kinds of equipment. We still don't have any level 1-2 magical tattoos to take with the Tattooist feat, for example, and that feat is supposed to grant you four.

LO: Monstrous Ancestries
[I]From fearsome Orcs Belkzen and the cunning Gnolls of Garund, to the militant Hobgoblins of Oprak and the oft eccentric diaspora of Goblins; Golarion is home to a great many people once thought monsterous and savage. But more recent events have proven them all just as capable of grand heroism and robust culture as the more civilized people of its lands. From the ingenious Kobolds and their creative contractions, to the ferocious yet devout Strix who hold community and compassion above all else; the world is filled with a myriad of misunderstood people ready to prove their worth. Explore the wild and savage cultures of Golarion's Monstrous Ancestries!"
Within this book, you shall find expanded options for not only the aforementioned Ancestries, but also Anadi, Kobold, Lizardfolk, and Goloma; as well as the Changeling, Beastkin, and Half-Orcs. Additionally, you shall see the introduction of the Bugbear, Centaur, Cyclops, Minotaur, and Ogre!
Or something like that. Lol

It’s past midnight, so we’re officially at the first day of PaizoCon! I’ll be asleep through the keynote, but I’m excited to wake up to the news. Any final, bold predictions?
I’m keeping the faith alive for the Inquisitor, and dreaming of Ancestries and Arcadia, but I’m excited for whatever is coming :)

I said this early, but a Drift Crisis like event for Pathfinder would be epic. I'm thinking something with time displacement, bringing forward (or back) some of the empires that used to exist. Imagine if, suddenly, Azlant was whole again or the Jiskan Imperium returned?

Been there, done that. You are aware of the Thassilonians who now live in Varisia, right ?

I am. What I'm saying is they can expand on that and make it a world wide phenomenon that is optional for players to utilize. Just a out the gate idea, as it was the first thing I considered when thinning of an optional event similar to Drift Crisis. I'm sure Paizo could come up with a way more interesting idea than my own.

Treasure Vault is what I was afraid of when that hobgoblin weapons hint went out; happy for the people excited for it, but gear and loot have pretty much never compelled me.
I’m much more excited about the new AP apparently going to Castrovel, and to hear that the Impossible Lands book has 8 Ancestries.
Not surprised at all to not be getting a new playtest.

Wait, it's gone up to 8? I missed that part!!
Also, there is still a whole playtest discussion panel on Sunday. So there is still time.

Someone on reddit claimed 8; I haven’t watched the stream yet.

Must have watched a different stream than me, or I was too busy taking notes to catch that number. Lol.
Perhaps they assumed it was 8, as they showed 8 pieces of art while talking about the new Ancestries.

I'm super down to play a rhino person.
Also super excited for the announced treasure book. Magical gear and artifacts have always been one of my favorite parts of the fantasy genre; I just love stuff.
Speaking of, here's hoping we see the return of some more classic RPG artifacts and treasures, like Cubes of Force, and some Golarion-specific ones like the Alara'hai, or the former prisons of the Elemental Lords.
Also, this may be blasphemous, but I won't be too broken up if we don't get any new class playtests. I mean if a new class gets announced then that's awesome, and I'll look forward to it, but if the writers instead get opportunities to turn their creative energies to expanding the options for the things we've already got by fleshing out class and ancestry feats, coming up with new skill feats to make skills more expansive, or whatever other thing they have cooking I can't conceive of, I'll be chuffed as well.

Ly'ualdre |

I'm glad someone asked about Fulu. I've had a build with Fulu as a focus I was tossing around. May have solidified the Thaumaturge as my Class choice.
I'm curious to see what changes and expansions come in Treasure Vault to the crafting system, as it might help with this idea of mine.

Lanathar |

I expect a playtest will be tied to the gencon announcement where they will announce the release for next gencon
Apparently the crafting rules are getting a revamp / variant in the treasure vault as well as circa 100 new alchemical items. Any possible boost for the alchemist will ever welcome. I am sure that was requested here
I can’t imagine many more bomb options personally as they have most damage types covered. But hopefully there will be more for the mutagenist

That probably won't stop them though. Last I checked, and this was several months ago, there were 4 bombs with fire damage, 2 acid, 2 mental, 2 poison, and other duplicated options.
Bombs have multiple damage conveyances: splash, initial damage, and status. Status further breaks down into persistent damage and then various conditions. So...lots of combinations can still be put into a package, even before you start yanking knobs like "A frost bomb with a high splash damage, minor initial damage and persistent damage, with a debuff on a crit".

I know they said the the Rumored Owlbear is more of an example cyptid than a specific one; but I really hope there is some player facing option that stems from it, for my eventual Owlbear Beastkin, which you can surprisingly make.
In fact, the sheer number of strange Beastkin possibilities is a little staggering. Xotanispawn Beastkin anyone? ^^'
Also, I absolutely LOVE that they are making some very unexpected Versatile Heritages. I was so surprised by the Mirror Duplicate! I can't wait to see what other crazy options lie in the future!!

We’ve got the Ancestries in Impossible Lands nailed down: Ghoran, Kashrishi, Nagaji, Vanara, and Vishkanya. Seems like Ratajin didn’t follow their rhino buddies into this one, and there’s no Oenopion ooze-folk like some had suggested.
We’ll see if Kobolds get some Wyvaran options.
I mentioned it in the IL thread, but I'm pretty sure the weird fish person on the first slide is a Ratajin. In which case, it seems to be grouped with possible Versatile Heritages. So it may be that.
Also, given how Undead Archetypes work, my brain has chosen to view the Oozemorph as a sort of psuedo-ancestry. So I'm expecting more Feats for that Archetype.
Also, I just want to note, if I can't actually give my Monk a blackhole in his hand, I'm rioting. Lol

Like most ancestries we get that existed in 1st Edition, the Ghoran, Nagaji, Vanara, and Vishkanya appeared in a Bestiary! Specifically 3. So we can use them to get an idea for a few abilities they'll have access to, whether normally or from feats.
Ghoran: An aura that can make enemies flat footed and fascinated (I can see this not being a constant effect for a player), additional damage taken and harder to escape from jaw attacks, can give attackers a penalty to attacks by feigning anguish, and get detect poison, purify food and drink, and goodberry as innate spells.
Nagaji: They get a bonus to commanding reptiles, resistance to poison, and the ability to make additional saves against poison with a bonus.
Vanara: They can get a prehensile tail, get pest form (monkey only) as an innate spell, and can stand then step twice for two actions without provoking reactions.
Vishkanya: They can poison a weapon with their saliva or blood, and have a bonus to Escaping.

They could also re-use some bombs printed in other material already. We've gotten a fair number of the new bombs from Adventure Paths, and Paizo does have a habit of collating stuff from APs and sticking it in an RPG book.
I wouldn't totally mind that; we'd get tallow bombs with their stats written correctly as an example.
