I'm real close to doing this, because half of the time, I never get a shipping update from them. This is especially maddening since the mail is horrid in my area, so I really do need those tracking numbers to tell if something has been lost to our local sorting facility.

My order (#36710178) was taken on and held by UPS for a week, then returned to sender this Wednesday, before even leaving the United States.
I wonder what's going on there.

I think tracking depends on shipping method. UPS tracking I've never had a problem, but if the package goes USPS (including UPS-MI) forget it. Overseas shipments I have no experience.

Good to know I am not the only one. Items shipped out December 10th, still no tracking info, still no package either.
It is nice getting the PDFs early, but I could probably just pick up the physical books at my local game shop once the street date hits. Not really an advantage with the subscription.

From the way UPS tracking updates, I think those boxes sometimes sit on their loading docks for a few days waiting for a truck to come pick them up. But at least we get the PDFs as soon as they slap that shipping label on the box.
Oh, don't get me wrong, getting the digital copy is huge for me. My big concern is how crap the mail is in my area, and without updated tracking, they won't lift a finger to find a box.

I think I just figured out the problem with the lack of tracking, if my own order record is any indication.
My order has a Shipping Method of "Standard Postal Delivery".
Next to the Transit Estimate is a "Track this package" link that links to ups-mi.net.
I am pretty sure that UPS will never get any information at all about a package that was shipped solely by the post office and was never in the possession of UPS.

I have mailed CS multiple times now in the last two weeks about my shipment that was returned to Paizo mid-transport two weeks ago and besides an initial response saying "I will see if someone can have a look" I haven't heard anything again. Can you perhaps expediate that? I'm paying a lot of money for fast shipment, so the books can get to Germany quickly, and this has become really irritating now.

The lack of communication surrounding subscriptions does not instill confidence in removing the CS forums and I sincerely hope whatever new method of discussing subscriptions keeps community members in the loop when shipping starts and when it ends at a minimum.
I personally intend to cancel my RPG subscriptions since the primary reason I subscribe is to have worry-free purchasing of the pdfs (I don't care for the physical books) and so I don't have to track new product release dates, but in frequent months I find that shipping runs late and no communication is given. I'm left wondering if my order was forgotten or if it is still in queue. I wait patiently and avoid creating new threads or emailing CS until it is confirmed a problem. It basically has become this whole thing of I have no idea where my order stands and I think going forward it will just be better for my well-being if I just buy the PDF's as needed.
And to be clear, this has been a long time coming. There's been a lot going on recently and I intentionally avoided rushing into a decision. I want to support Paizo but it shouldn't take this much energy.
I'll send my request via email.
And thanks to all of the CS staff and community folx that have helped over the years.

Doesn't make sense to me, but I suppose Tonya has her reasons. If this turns out to make CS *less* responsive rather than more, well, there's other things I can do with my time.

So with the warehouse now closed for a week, I guess I'll have to wait even longer before I get any Information about why my shipment was returned to Paizo. This is really bad.

I've looked at the pile on two different occasions and cannot find your box returned to us. I'll touch base with your CSR tomorrow to get your issue resolved.

I have mailed a screenshot of the tracking of the return order to CS on December 20. The package was delivered back to Paizo on December 15 and signed for by "PAIN".
