Normally when I get to the end of a thread, I click the hierarchical directory links/ribbon at the bottom or top of the thread to hop back to the main (sub)forum.
For ex:
Community / Forums / Gamer Life / Off-Topic Discussions / CURRENT THREAD I'M READING
Starting today, if I click the Off-Topic Discussions link on the current thread page to hop back to the main OTF, it frequently kicks me all the way back to Home (Paizo.com). It's been doing it in Gamer Life & OTF, and it's done it a couple times so far in Website Feedback.
Is this a known thing or something unexpectedly new?
Edit: It's now doing it from the main forum too when I try to click on the subforum links.

Getting this randomly when loading any page on the forums, including reloading an already-working page.
Was there always a second "community" in the current messageboard forum directory structure? Like:
https://paizo.com/community/forums/community/paizoInc/websiteFeedback
Because some links have this URL:
https://paizo.com/community/forums/community/gamerLife/offTopic
and some have one like this:
https://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/offTopic
Edit: and some are like this:
https://paizo.com/community/forums/community/community/gamerLife/offTopic (thrice?)
I've noticed this today, too.
Maybe they are messing with - I mean, updating - the SSL certificates?
For the past 20 minutes or so intermittently I cannot reach
https://paizo.com/community/forums/pathfinder/adventureCardGame
Sometimes this redirects me back to https://paizo.com, and sometimes it brings me to the card game form.
Having the same problem with other forums too (like Website Feedback - which is doubly frustrating!)
Yeah, navigating the forums just became a real pain. I wonder what's up.
So it wasn't just me messed up here. I strongly hope Paizo fixes this up quickly...
This is actually more than a little bit infuriating. I'm trying to look up one of the old Legacy of Fire forums and this is the first forum I've actually been able to properly get to.
I can't seem to access the Starfinder forums without getting kicked to the home screen. :(
I've tried it on multiple devices (desktop and mobile) in multiple browsers and it kicks me back within seconds. Accessing it from bookmarks or site navigation links doesn't seem to matter either.
Not quite sure how I managed to make it here. Luckily, I thought to type this up in a text editor and was quickly able to paste/submit it before getting kicked back to the home screen. Not a great way to navigate a forum. :/

Ditto. Even basic navigation is nearly impossible. Keeps kicking me back to the home page screen.
Yups. Started today, somewhen within the last 6 or 7 hours.
Just found this problem myself.
Makes navigating the forums damn near impossible.
Edit: the quicknav drop down menu seems to be the most effective way of getting to specific subforum locations (it’s not 100%, though).
It happens when going to any forum but it doesn't happen every time. For example, the third time I tried to get to Website Feedback it worked. The first two tries dropped me out to paizo.com.
& it's getting worse. I can't get to any forum now. Going to a thread does work, and you can follow links from there to other threads.
experiencing this as well. when I manage to get a forum open I am right clicking open in new tab for threads but afraid to refresh the top level forum at this point
Adding my voice to the chorus. I keep getting kicked back to the front page, and it’s starting to get really annoying.
Has anyone heard anything about the fix?
This may not work for everyone, but I was having the "thrown to home page" when trying to access the Website Feedback forum. Found that if I right clicked and "open in new tab" it worked for me. Windows 10.

Yeah, I tried that, but it didn't seem to have any different effect for me. Sometimes works, sometimes kicks me to paizo.com, sometimes kicks me to the top level of the forums. Tried using Opera (x64, v.62.0.3331.72, not logged in) and Firefox (x64, Quantum v.68.0.1, logged in) both for Win10 under my CenturyLink/Quest DSL landline, with no discernible difference in behavior.
(optimistic) They are restructuring and updating forms for the 2E launch …
It feels like the sub-forum pages are gone

I don't know how or why but it seems to me that simply retrying the links over and over and over eventually DOES lead me to where I am trying to go.
For example, I just clicked to open the Starfinder forums in a new tab 5 times, 3 went to the main page, two went to the desired forum.
I have no idea what the deal is but perhaps a note by CS indicating that they know there is a problem and are investigating it would be a good idea since it seems like this is a universal problem, even if you don't have any earthly idea why it's happening.

Customer Service is different from the Tech Team; I believe right now both are understaffed and dealing with the 2e-release storm, and neither are on the clock this weekend.
I have a bookmark I made back when the redesign first went through and there wasn't one-click access to the forums, and it's still working reliably. Maybe if you get to the forum you're looking for once, you could try bookmarking it and using that until they get this straightened out? I've given up on back-arrows and breadcrumbs and just used my bookmark and Focus/Defocus to navigate.
My old bookmark that used to take me to the forums now redirects me to the paizo.com homepage... half the time.
From the main forum listing clicking a subforum link will often redirect back to the main forum, but occasionally will send me where I expect it to.
I am also being kicked to the home page 75% of the time when trying to navigate around the forums.
Starting to happen to me too.

Actually, it isn't. The mods check the boards regularly. Sadly, this started on a Friday, as everyone was getting ready to go home for the weekend. We need to keep this at the top of the Website Feedback Forum so that it is seen promptly and easily on Monday or will be seen if anyone thinks to look in over the weekend.
It's a real problem, even parts of the store are kicking me back to the main page. Trying to access the Accessories area is kicking me back right now.
I meant in the forums other than this one.

It is almost looking like they have been under a DNS attack since Friday and only some of the forum queries are not timing out. Maybe just everyone is checking up on 2nd E and its killing the server. I have been experiencing it too btw but I thought it started even on Thursday.

It would be rad if someone from Paizo would indicate that they are aware of the issue and that someone is looking at it.

This is still happening, and it's incredibly frustrating.
It's been going on since Friday afternoon at least, and as Masked Ferret pointed out, it's pretty much pointless trying to post anywhere.
Right now I'm able to access individual threads only by selecting them from my browser history from several days ago. Whenever I try to go back up a level, say to the Pathfinder RPG General Discussion page, I'm kicked back to the Paizo homepage.
I'm extremely disappointed in Paizo's web team. Not so much for letting it happen, because these things do happen, but for letting it persist for nearly four days straight, and apparently without a word from anyone even acknowledging the problem.
Now that PF1 is almost finished, I'm not seeing a reason to spend more time on this site--not when they let issues like this drag on for days, without so much as a note to let us know they're aware of the problem and they're working on it.
the problem has been occurring on 4 days, not for 4 days. Also that period has been the weekend!
It seems to be fixed for me, clicks to open forums are going to the right place at a 100% rate instead of 15%.
Edit: LOL, never mind. After half a dozen in a row links that worked normally I had 20+ in a row fail. I'm back to equilibrium.
No, it just happened to me (funnily enough, trying to get to Website feedback from the main forum).
I often navigate to existing threads I'm in via my profile through my campaigns tab or posted items tab (because I'm weird, and because it's a habit I developed one of the last times the forums were doing something strange), and had no issue navigating that way, however, so if it's still happening to anyone and one just wants to check an ongoing conversation, that way works, however roundabout it may be.
