BBEG sorcerer lvl 16 preparations

Advice

I love climatic battle as a end game campaign. Here is the setup: team of 5, all lvl 12. Wizard controller, Archer, sorc blaster, paly and rogue. I want to know what kind of spell a lvl 16 sorcerer could precast when he KNOW the pc are comming and he already have all the info on players' tactics.

The team will have stuff to do in fight while the BBEG will be busy with an npc that will weaken him (far away from killing it but still) so "over preparation" is not an issue.

The archer is pretty strong
The blaster is based around fire damage and changing type to lightning damage if needed
The wizard is illusion and charm based and got a true name (contract for killing creature NOT in their original plan)
Rogue is skill based ( i got a spotlight for him)
And the paly got an evil outsider killing sword

What does true name do again?

My wizard can summon 1/day an outsider by sating his true name. He can force him/her to do his bidding. Depending of the job the outsider might be really pissed and try to harm the summoner (but cant directly). My player took a contract with an angel that his job was only againts outsider that mess things up in other plan (part of the background for the pc).

Lets say an air elemental attack the party in the material plane, he could summon her. If the party is attack the air elemental while on the plane of air, the angel could be forced to do it, but it does not respect the engagement the wizard took

Protection from arrows/gust of wind/stuff like that.

Wind Wall/Pro from Arrows deals with the Archer.
Resist everything deals with the Sorc
Anything will deal with the Rogue [sorry rogue but you're rubbish]
Would making his alignment hidden stop the Paly smite evil from working?
Wizards have low hit points and bad CMD so black testicals and some blasting [acid/sonic based]

16th level Sorc should be able to UMD anything so give him a scroll or 2 of Heal.
Anti-life shell/Repulsion are good time savers Spell Turning for pure fun. Fog type effects if you equip the dude with fog-cutting lenses [or whatever they're called]

I am of the Hate also.

Your sorcerer can also have a T-Rex summoned just before the battle begins. Spell Turning is wonderful too. You can have him use a planar biniding spell for a glabrezu demon for the free wish, the power word: stun and the reverse polarity among else. Contigency (mirror image) is also a nice surpise.

Also check Programmed Image. You can cast it an unlimited number of times on off days and then bring any number of them into effect as a free action. Call a horde of (illusionry) dragons as a free action and watch your players freak out. Or drop multiple veils in front of you, all providing total concealment for you while you take no penalty because you automaticallly disbelieve them. Put a Prismatic Wall between them for a nasty surprise.

The key is to have as many buff spells rolling as possible.

Awareness:

Alarm spells should let him know they are coming, and see invisibility lasts for a good long time.

True seeing should shut down the illusionist pretty well.

Planar binding should allow for some guardian creatures, and scry isn't bad for keeping tabs on PCs either.

Defenses

Spell immunity to whatever they use most
Displacement or other concealment to negate sneak attack
Mirror image and fly to slow down the paladin
Stoneskin
Mage armor
Darkvision
Non-detection (also blocks see invisibility)

Evening the odds
Planar binding
Summon Monster
Contingency
Animate Dead
Wall spells to split the party

Attacks
Maze on the paladin, most paladins are not smart
Cloudkill on the wizards and rogue, because they have no fort save, and need to be able to see to be useful
Project image - to make them waste a lot of attacks

Finally, magic jar the rogue, and use him to kill the wizards. Paladin will have to subdue, or he loses his paladinhood.

Sczarni

don't forget quicken as well for things like true strike, or magic missile or anything really...

Great advice so far thank you very much. Not used to play a high level caster. He won't be alone so i'm not gonna put EVERYTHING (good guys still win) but i want him to be a big fight where the players will be proud at the end.
