Andrea stays with the group because
A)Wren would get into trouble if she wasn't around
B) She's determined to help Kevin with his drink problem and is developing personal feeelings for him
C) she owes it to the professor to see his killers brought to Justice.

Thanks for all of the responses! That helps me get a feel for your characters' motivations, and gives me some ideas to... test them a bit, perhaps. :)
So, I'm going to be doing things perhaps a bit different than some of you are familiar with. A lot of PbP GMs are switching over to Roll20.net for their maps, because it makes combat maps a thousand times easier. That is what I'm doing as well.
Once everyone logs in to the Roll20 campaign, I'll assign you control of your token so you can move it freely. I'm essentially keeping you on the honor system here in terms of combat movement. All of your dice rolls and such will still be over in the gameplay thread, however. Once you move your token, please narrate your movements and such so that way I at least know you've moved already on the map this turn.
Does that make sense for everyone?
This link should take you into the campaign screen. If not, I can send out email invitations as well. And because I'm a paid supporter, you all should be able to use Roll20 on your iPads and Android tablets if you have them. I haven't tested out iPhone support yet... I will do that later this week.
If you're unfamiliar with Roll20, once you have token permissions, you can even add your health so that it appears over your head. Handy if you want, but I also understand that some might not want that. Totally optional.
I hope that's all clear for you guys. If you have any questions, please let me know. I'm shooting to start on either July 8th or 9th, after PaizoCon. I need this week to prep for all of the madness I've subjected myself to.

Excellent!
I just need Wren and Aldous/Hastur to log in to Roll20 and that portion of the setup will be complete.
Andrea, Kevin and Galadan should be able to move your tokens. Make sure it works, and if you want to edit any of your bars or auras (such as light sources), you certainly can if you wish.

Er...uh...yeah...I'll get to it tomorrow.
Been planning my travel plans, TES. Busy week coming up. :)

Hanging with ThreeEyedSloth at PaizoCon, he's still jazzed about taking over the game but it won't happen until next week.
I'll be checking into Rolld20 later.

Excellent! :)
I'm just waiting for Wren to log in and I'll be done. My original estimate to start by today was a little off, as PaizoCon drained me a bit more this year than before. But I'm starting to feel rested and putting the final touches on getting things ready.
Since you guys were in mid-combat when things paused, I'm just going to narrate the rest of it and start immediately after. Definitely makes things easier on my end. Everyone okay with that?

Wren the FeatherMage |

I'll get into Rolld20 tonight, but remember you said you were going to explore the Gamespace too...it might be a better method. Or not.
I, too, am still drained from PaizoCon and work is work.
I'm totally fine with finishing the combat...I'll just assume Wren talked them to death. It's a very real possibility. I know this because I spent more than a few minutes in TES's yapping at PaizoCon and felt myself slipping away...
*squawk!*

Once GameSpace has opened up to more and is less buggy (it's pretty buggy right now, but that's typical for beta), I plan on switching over to that. However, I currently have all of my maps and tokens ready to go til at least the end of this book on Roll20, so I plan on using my work until we get past that point. :P

GM Sloth |

Excellent. Roll20 link has been added to the campaign's header, making it easy to find. Thanks Sara!
So, momentum for gameplay has been... very slow. Is there anything on my end that would help you guys? Or are most of you finding it difficult to make time to post? Or, maybe a better question, are any finding difficulty in *wanting* to continue?
Just so you're aware, when we're in combat, I don't care if you post out of order. I will go through and resolve combat rounds based on initiative, but you are more than welcome to post your actions ahead of time if you wish. And, if something happens that would change your action by your turn, I'm more than okay to let you adjust.
I've been hoping that, since resuming this campaign, that we could quickly plow through Castle Caromarc and then proceed to the third book in the AP, giving us a fresh start and allowing me to do some housekeeping stuff with you guys. It's difficult to do that in the middle of a "dungeon", so I'm content with waiting.
So, as long as you guys are all on board, I'm pumped. If not, then no hard feelings. And if you're just unable to post once a day, then let me know. I'm very flexible. I just don't like the feeling of a campaign floundering, especially in this situation where we have to rebuild our momentum all over again.

To sum up combat and my expectations:
1. Again, feel free to post out of turn. I will resolve actions by initiative count, and if your previously posted action conflicts with the current situation, you will be allowed to change it.
2. Make sure you remember to move your token on Roll20. And when you do, describe your movement, so I know that you moved it already.
3. When we are in combat, I'd like for everyone to post at least once a day. Outside of combat, it can be more relaxed. If you go more than 24 hours without posting in combat, I may GMPC your character for the round to keep things moving. I will do my best to follow what your character would normally do, and if I do something that isn't, please let me know.
4. Make sure youn post the current round and your initiative count at the top of your post, so I can keep track of where we are. It helps me quickly organize actions when we are posting out of order.
5. If you are suffering from a condition at the start of your turn, Post it OOC either at the top or bottom of your post.

+1. I like these and will do my best to contribute.

Is Galadan MIA?
I think he need to call it with him.
And that I'm the only one that's posted since Saturday is disappointing.
I love playing with the players we have, but at the rate at which we're going it's just not tenable for me.
I'm for cutting and looking through some recruitment options. We got a top GM ready to go and we don't have player who can check once or twice a day? :(

GM Sloth |

Sorry guys... I'm ashamed that it wasn't able to work out. But between the glacial pace and Galadan going MIA, all of the excitement of taking over has quickly been sapped. I'm sad that I wasn't able to come through on continuing this campaign for you all, but at least you'll have some actual closure now instead of waiting in limbo.
Apologies. Good luck to you all.

Galadan Teresthin |

Apologies, everyone. I had internet connection issues for almost a full month (and maybe a little over). Not fun at all. On the other hand, with all that extra free time I got another job. (So not a lot of free time these days anymore, but bills are being paid off faster than ever. :P)
Sorry you finished the game. I was hoping to learn more about the Order of the Palatine Eye, or whatever it is, and we didn't even get that far.
