Isn't there a disadvantage to Vow of Poverty, that the other partymembers gain the Vow of Poverty character's share of the treasure, giving them one-third more magic items than normal?
Erk!!! Nonononono!
Definately not -- there are enough problems with VoP as it is, that would completely break it.I don't have BoED to hand so can't be sure of the exact wording, but it explicitly says that this isn't to happen, and that the VoP character's share of any treasure must be spent doing good deeds, or donated to good causes or to those in need -- giving it to your mates isn't allowed! :)

Having DM'd a monk through ten levels of the Vow, I can say it didn't prove to be a showstopper...however, he didn't munch too bad and we had a Stone Giant in the party. A Stone Giant who I'm sure gave me an ulcer.
>sigh<
I have a tiefling warlock pursuing the vow after his first few levels...he'll have to wait until sixth to hit it, but I think it'll be more help then hurt; he only has 4 STR :O
Erik, I know you're busy (and have done FABulous on everything to date), but could you post why the Vow was giving your group problems? Was it munch-y players or just a rules and plot problem? I'm interested to know what I'm getting into.
PS: The above Vow and Stone Giant were from the Shackled City. Go fig.

e-mail huh? Is it too late to get in on that action. I hadn't planned on running AoW until this winter or early spring but on account of a TPK in the first adventure path (soul pillars to be precise) my players have conned me into an early running. Kudos to all involved in the firts AP and this one, awesome stuff for us working DM's who have little time to create stuff on our own.
Thanks

Great, now I have to add to this train wreck just so I can receive an email update (which is a good idea. GO ROB!).
Aagh! Nobody *has* to do anything. Although it's cool to see more people registering just to post here.
And, you're welcome! Although now Gary is making fun of me for adding to my workload. : ]

Could you save yourself some time by sending this email out via the same method we receive Paizo.com updates via email already?

I read this thread everyday, and oddly I am not even running this Adventure path. But still I have been gripped into the anticipation of when overload will come out... hmmm... maybe I am just odd that way. I do have Future plans to run This Adventure path, but that is very far ahead. Still I am sure anything that is in the Overload will be very Helpful. Thankyou Everyone at Dungeon...In advance

Robert Head... ya gotta add me onto that e-mail notification list!
I've been checkin' in on the Resources page like everyday since I picked up issue 125, and checkin' out the status of the download via this thread just as often.
I'm not one to complain about the wait, but I gotta say I'm real anxious! And, my players are really stoked to play this campaign, too!
Thanx much for the assistance, too, Rob and everyone at Paizo!
Bocklin wrote:It would be nice if someone at Paizo could collect all the names and email addresses of those who have posted at least once on this Thread and send them a warning email when the Overload is online.Excellent idea. Will do.

Can we get a quick update on where the doco is now? Is WotC still reviewing it? Any feedback yet? If there are revisions required how long will that take? If you get the green flag will it be up immediately?
My session is Wednesday night from 6pm to 9pm Pacific. Do you think we'll see it tonight or tomorrow morning?
The email I use here is web based, so it doesn't really matter if you send me the email or post the update online because I have to check both places manually anyway. Will you send the email out before you post it online or vice versa?

I imagine I will get posts of "then do not subscribe" and the like of those that have yet to hit puberty let anyone run a business.
"...let anyone run a business?" That just doesn't make any sense. Must be some sort of crazy talk.
Remember, the Overload isn't late. The magazine mentioning it was early. Just look at the date.
ASEO out ;-)

Document is in layout now, to go to WotC for approval on Thursday (there's every reason to expect that this will happen Thursday afternoon). That means (barring unforeseen changes requested by WotC) Friday is a rock-solid estimate.

Yes!!! But wait...what thursday? what friday? are we referring to this week's thursday/friday? It seems the meaning of "this week" here has become to mean a Jupiter or Saturn week . . . hehehe ... just kiddin' :) Love ur updates, man! Thanks so much in advance for all the work! Woohooo!! Feels like christmas this coming friday!

Magazine says August 2005. It's now August 2005. No Overload. The magazine said it is out already. Overload is late. Let's not pretend it isn't.
Great Caesar's Ghost!
I've heard of the famed 'Captain Obvious', but it appears some dastardly villian has cloned him.
.
.
And all of the clones are posting in this thread.
Friday can't come soon enough. (counting the hours until this thread can be put to bed)

Been reading...
I just wanted to stop in and say Erik Mona is the man. And everyone else who helps make Dungeon run is also the man. And if not all of those people are men, then they are the woman too. This whole AoW overload thing is going to rock my socks off I'm sure. I'm also sure it will be missing a couple things I expected to see, but having seen Allustan's stat block in part 3 I'm actually completely happy for now. Thanks again.
