1 person marked this as a favorite.

I started with the old Blue box Basic set back in 1979 at the age of 12 and started teaching my son at the age of 10, 4 years ago.

Thanks Shar

Liberty's Edge

Can anyone let me know if there is a master list of all of the Pathfinder Prestige classes and if there is where I can find it?

Liberty's Edge

I would love to get the info as well: lylestirk at AOL dot com

Liberty's Edge

Thanks for the input gang I appreciate it

Hey Hierophantasm I will have to look into one of those PMA's they sound very useful

Liberty's Edge

Hello everyone,

I have a question that I am hoping someone might be able to help with.

If a player has a character that is a Necromancer/Archivist and their Restricted schools are Evocation & Illusions can that character put Evocation and or Illusion type divine spells in their prayer book example: Light of Lunia, which is a divine Evocation spell)?

Liberty's Edge

James, Thanks for the update. I love reading this and have missed it. I am glad that you finally had some time to breath and update us. Reading this helps me come up with stuff to use for my players as I run them through the AoW.

Thanks Vic, you guys are awesome.

Liberty's Edge

Dear Cosmo & Vic,

I am still waiting for Dungeon 139 here in Rochester, NY. Could you PLEASE send me a copy.

So when are you posting your journal from the game I ran this spring?

Man you are moody, but I didn't know you were a Homosexual.

Liberty's Edge

It's about time that you posted an update!! :-)

Liberty's Edge

I am sorry to say that my copy of Dungeon 139 is probably dust in the wind somewhere in NY. Could I please have a replacement sent my way as well.

Liberty's Edge

I am sad to report no magazine arrived today here on the westside of Rochester. I fear that it was claimed by the Fire Elemental devoured mail truck. :-(

Looking for a group to get with in the area. Recently moved back to NY to go to RIT starting this fall.

Hey Carl,

I am running the AOW, they are almost done with the whispering Cairn. If you are interested drop me an email at lylestirk at aol.com, so we can get to know each other.

Liberty's Edge

Chris, I love these letters they are great. I hope you are enjoying the campaign.

Liberty's Edge

you have peeked my interest, if you don't mind you can email me at lylestirk at AOL dot com, and let me know everything you have and I can let you know if I am interested in those items.

Liberty's Edge

Steve,

As one of the players I can assure you that this has been an extremely fun yet difficult adventure so far. I hope when I start running AOW for the group I can do half as good a job DMing as Chris has with this.

I own 56 Harcover books (all 3.x edition),
as well as 20 softcover books (some source books from 2nd edition),

3 box sets (World of Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, & Dawn of Emperors,

47 modules (some that date back to 1st edition)

aproximately 200 Dragon/Dungeon Mag's, not to mention 7 three ring binders bursting at the seams with info from the internet and my own warped mind.

Liberty's Edge

I didn't realize I was all that. I better let my players know.
:-)

Great job Blackdragon

Yes, some have only been used once: like the Miniatures Handbook.

UPDATES:

  • Adding the 3.5 Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Monster Manual to the stack, but I'm starting the bid for them at $20.
  • Raising the starting bids for the Forgotten Realms books to $20/per as well (Oozey needs a new pair of shoes).
  • Let me know if you are willing to back down to $10 on the forgotten Realms books because I was interested in one or two of them but $20 is a little steep with shipping.

    e-roleplaying

    addendum

After reading through my last post I realized that I didn't relate why it was such a "monkeywrench." Hell, any player could have done what happened around the table and it would have been fine.

The issue was that with one player starting such an encounter via e-mail, the other players have to wait until the next session. This bogs down the action and the momentum a bit.

Right now they've been pretty unresponsive this week even BEFORE the altercation started so I'm curious as to how other DM's use e-roleplaying in their table-top games.

As someone who will be starting this campaign in about a month I can tell you that I am going to use either a webpage or emails to dish out info that characters will find out and as some filler like you are Timault.

As a player I can tell you that the DM that is DMing the group at this time has been sending us emails to let us know any info that are characters should know ahead of time. I have to say this has made it alot easier to play the character as knowing something as opposed to asking the DM in mid encounter "Should I know that?"

heh, I'll be playing in an AoW game in Rochester, NY in about a month, after I finish my Eberron adventure. I fully plan to put my character journal up here.

Wouldn't describe that as a monkeywrench, but more of a situation in which could get young barbarian in trouble further on when you aren't prepared for a game.

Hopefully we will have a lot of fun Chris. As the DM for that Campaign I will also put updates up occasionally.

Or coffee, if that's your thing. I make a great pot of coffee.

I'm in if you'll have me Lilith. ( I am a sucker for cookies). I'll skip the coffee though and take a Vault.

As someone who purchased the Greyhawk Box set back in 84ish' I have always loved the setting I have tried FR and it has always seemed to come up short for me (even though they have had some excellent idea's that I have stolen and put into my Greyhawk/homebrew campaign).

True strike, if a melee class can get his hands of a potion of it. Doubly so in the hands of certain monsters. A mature adult white dragon (CR12) can cast it one round, and then flying charge the next round at any target up to 400ft away, pouring all +20 of the to-hit into damage using Power Attack for +40 damage. That's 2d8+52 damage, range 53-68, average 61. He can do this six times per day and demand a Massive Damage roll every time.

Actually Jonathan your Dragon attack wouldn't work. The PHB says that the number (damage bonus) may not exceed your base attack bonus, so the dragon in your example can only use power attack for an additional +21 damage which is still very nice.

Thanks guys these are very good suggestions.

    Hello all,

I am getting ready to run an AoW campaign and have been working with my players on their characters. I have a player that wishes to play a BLIND Fighter. Looking through my copy of Unearthed Arcana I don't see blind in the character Flaws that could be taken. What I need is either everyones opinion on what the effects should be or just a an opinion on whether or not I should let it be used.

this is what I have thought about so far:

    * -8 to Search checks, may only Search what character can touch.
    * Cannot make Spot Checks
    *+6 to Listen
    * Unnaffected by sight based attacks (Images, Gazes, Hypnotic Pattern, etc.)
*-6 to save v. sound based effects (but not Sonic damage, as that is an energy based trait.)

    Thanks,
    Lyle
