I just reread handout #1. Either the GM is roleplaying these guys different or there's something wrong here.

I try not to make fan-groups, buuuuut.... it's hard not to when you're going through the submissions. Characters that would make pair well with your character's personality, as a friendly rivals, or that would have good class or ability combos.

I haven't kept a loot list since the end of 2019.

Working on a list from the time of the shipwreck.

• Chest from ship wreckage (I didn’t look at what’s inside. Ghirrak knows though) buried close to wreckage.
• Lance +1
• Necklace 500 crowns
• Silver Dagger, masterwork
• Golden medallion with shining pink pearl (magic)

Oh! I almost forgot, I'll eat every character submitted that doesn't make the cut.

While the arcs can be played in any order, it is recommended that players experience the scenarios within each individual arc in order.

It would help if the other titles were given so I could better work out how to experience as suggested.

I do wish to add that I went through a similar transition with a competitor's organized game a couple of years ago and felt cheated that I did not get any credit for my unspent points. I just like that the focus is on not penalizing the more casual users of the Fame/Boon system.

Don't apologize for Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate. Especially not this year.

Also an update on some of the game's stats:
* The game began in Dec 2009.
* Lym is the last of the original characters. She has always been scary.
* Dax (with a now deceased character) and Aebliss (return to us soon) are both original players.
* There have been 2 gms (big props to OGGM for saving the game), 11 players, and 12 characters.
* Praxim has a long history of being a jerk.

First, welcome to the ranks of PBP DMing.

Every game system will have one or two points that is specific to that system and each site will have one or two points specific to that site, but the requirements and suggestions for running a PBP game is the same for all of them.

@Thomas Keller I don't think any offense was taken or at least I hope not. PBP may not be for you, but those of us who do PBP know why we started playing in this format and what it continues to do for us. We only hope that you too will enjoy it as we do.
We- all of us- only want to increase the hobby that we love and want you to be an active part of that. To that end, we hope you'll not let one experience not to your liking keep you from continuing to try this format of gaming, even if not with those same folk or on a different site. If these times have highlighted anything, it's that we are all in this together.

Anyone put together a boot camp or obstacle course for this AP? I know that Cosmic Crit did one, but I'm hoping for more inspiration.

Here's what I've come up with so far. This is the obstacle course that must be finished at the end of your training.

Athletics- run down the trail to a pit. Must jump over it. DC 10 Athletics check or take D6 damage if fail. Can scramble out.

Strength- flip heavy weights 20 feet. Difficulty depends on the character's size Small DC 8 Medium DC 10 Large DC 12.

Fort Save- belly crawl under barbed wire as live fire shoots above you including smoke grenades. DC 12 Fort or become sickened unless environmental seals are active.

Medicine/Mysticism/Physical Science- Just past the combat area is a triage station where you can create up to three potions. Each potion will return d6 stamina or health, or remove the sickened condition.

Computer- DC 12 Computer to operate a lift to get the team to top of a tall tower.

Life Science- While at the top use scopes to find and identify 3 creatures. Life Science 10 then 12 then 15.

Engineering- Engineering DC 12 to repair lift to get down on other side of tower.

Combat- Ambush! PC's must fight a pair of training bots armed with flash grenades, smoke grenades, training baton and stun gun.

Medicine/Mysticism/Physical Science- Just past the combat area is a triage station where you can create up to three potions. Each potion will return d6 stamina or health, or remove the sickened condition.

Acrobatics- swing across a mud pit with Acrobatics 12 check.

Piloting/Gunnery- Two DC 12 Piloting rolls and one DC 15 roll to maneuver a craft through an obstacle course along a river. Two guns to hit four targets, two at AC 10 and two at AC 13 while maneuvering.

Perception/Survival- DC 12 to pick the correct trail that will lead you to the end of the course.

It takes Tomaru two days to prepare for Aurora's funeral. He uses spells to go to Magnimar to get the proper relics and utensils and consult with the Pharasmins. He goes to the Temple of Iomedae to tell Brother Pietre of Aurora's passing, after all, he's the one who introduced us.

When the time comes, Tomaru leads their small group over to the pillars that are the entrance to the Runewell. Aurora lays on a stone slab covered in a bright blue and white shroud. There is an ornate urn also on the slab at her feet. He stands "Aurora Ulfurdottir's first words to us were that she was seeking lore hidden in this region. I wanted to lay her remains at the place where she found what she was looking for. She was a remarkable person who had traveled the world for more than a century according to her and I suspect there was never a dull moment. Surely from the first time we laid eyes on her small frame, life has been interesting. We will miss her."

Tomaru gives some time for others to speak about Aurora before continuing with the prayer.

"Lady of Graves, our friend Aurora has gone to you. We know that she’s told you so very much about herself already, but this day we come to you on her behalf. I can’t say that I knew her long, but she made he mark on my life. Because of her example, not only do I find more joy in life, but I’ve also found someone to share it with. Mother of Souls, you have met her and surely know by now, that where most would want eternal rest, Aurora craves eternal adventure. I beseech you to allow her that, for your own sanity, if nothing else. Lady of Mystery, Aurora was small, but her verve loomed large for each of us. Her presence was energetic and electric and she was even able to tame Thordak. We pray, Goddess Pharasma, that you judge our friend like we do… brave, mighty, and awesome."

Tomaru puts his hands on the urn. "Next to her will be Nevelatu. All we know of him is that he was a human from ancient Thassilon. He was kept from your judgment far more than an age, he was made to endure terrible torment that entire time, and, when he was released, there was joy in his eyes at the thought of going to meet you. We bury him next to our friend so that they can, hopefully, watch over one another as their souls continue on in the afterlife."

There is more, but Tomaru finds it difficult to continue. He does eventually compose himself and, through magic, causes the slab holding Aurora's body and Nevelatu's ashes to sink into the ground
