So, I imagine the first roll is Tybalt trying to lead the others? (Setup Check) If so, as stated you do not need the "simple" Check.

Sorry. I was called away while at work and wasn't able to get back to pretty up the post.

Tybalt was raised in the 5 Kings Mountains. He barely considered this a hill. After a moment of study to figure out the correct path, he hiked up over the hill and down the other side.

Discord is a great site where you can text or voice chat with other gamers. Used in conjunction with a VTT, like google slides or Roll20, you can run games too. It is free and has a massively robust gaming community.

Here is a link to the Roll for Combat server on Discord.

I am Dax Thura over there too. Look me up if you need help or just ask around. There's always someone willing to help.

The easy fights let us feel powerful. The tough fights make the game fun and memorable. That dragon fight was so much fun. The fight against the Lamia helped us grow closer. The hallway fight in the fort should have been set to comedic music. I felt Markum's death and I think it changed the game.

"Sheriff, we were warned that such shenanigans was inadmissible." Referring to Ekira's spell. "And everyone present knows her bias. We don't offer spells from a god." Huni uses air quotes for 'spells' and 'god'. "But physical evidence as proof of our innocence."

If the shopkeeper is present, "He says he saw the murderer. Says it was a tall man. That does not describe the halfling nor the dwarves due to be killed for the act.

We have this letter luring us to this house, which matches the handwriting of the other letters that lured us to your fine town as well as that of the anonymous letter that implicates the other Pathfinders.

We have this button, which if you'll check, Sheriff, is the same one we showed you before. It came from the array of finery clothing him.

Someone has worked very hard to get Pathfinders here. Someone has worked very hard to implicate Pathfinders in the murders. I say it was this man here with the help of this false priestess who hates Pathfinders and would do anything even claim to hold private conversations with THE GODDESS to do us in."

Huni can't be sure of all he said, but if he's wrong, they are all dead anyway. He's still not sure if Ekira is involved, but she is so annoying that he just does not care.

The Savage Kraken is cutting the waves. The sun is shining and birds float lazily in the sky. Bryson is enjoying the wonderful day at the bow of the ship surrounded by his friends, Ghirrak and Lavinia, Urol, Avner, Burian, and others. His love Annie is next to him her arms around him. The crew is singing a bouncy ditty as they go about their duties. All is good with the world.

Suddenly there is a thunderous boom and the clouds darken the sky. A fog roils in. As it comes, his friends fade back and start to wail and scream in pain and fear. His beloved Annie is veritably yanked away from him. He yells after her as he reaches for her and tries to find her in the tumultuous storm.

Then shapes come out of the fog and start to assault him. Their claws rack his body while their roars and screams assault his will. They are unrelenting. He feels himself weaken and is ready to give up when he catches a glimpse of Ghirrak fighting to get to Lavinia. He thinks of Annie and redoubles his effort. For a moment he sees Urol fighting against the encroaching horrors. His small form using his weak magics and Bindleplotz's concoctions in his desperate bid to stay alive. Bryson is inspired by the sight.

To fight the implacable hordes he changes his shape and allows his animal form's instincts take over. He finally begins to make headway. He comes upon some of the crew, Parrotless Booker, No-Eyes Bellamy, Tavey Nesk. They recoil from him the same as they do from the evils in the fog. He fights on. Some of Passengers, Father Feres, Tin and Shari Nysmore, and Skald flee from him and are torn apart by the monsters.

He fights on. He is starting to like the carnage. The screams are a sweet song to his ears. The taste of blood and bile excite him. Until he finally makes his way to Annie. She falls back from him. Bryson wonders what's wrong. He realizes that Annie is afraid of HIM. She runs away. He calls after her, but it comes out as a fearsome roar.

Bryson fights on. He claws and bites and casts spells at the shadowy creatures. The fog begins to lift and he sees that he has been fighting the crew and passengers. Killing them. Those that still live look at him in fear. Annie is revulsed by him. Their reaction fills him with anger and hate. How could they? I will kill them. The thought brings Bryson to a full stop. He forces himself to calm down. As he does so, the storm begins to abate. The fog rolls away. His friends look change from fear to worry. Worry about him. He hates them for it. He wants to.... No. He must maintain control.

Soon the sky brightens, not as much as before, but there is no storm. He finds many of the wounds he has taken don't heal. They will be with him forever more. His view of the world has changed. It is darker, more harsh than before. The power that he taps into is more bitter and acerbic. Its touch primordial and discordant.

Bryson then starts to hear a call... "Outsiders. Feed us. Join us." Tendrils of vines reach for him. He sees the plant creatures coming for him.

Bryson awakens in the belly of the Savage Kraken ready to lash out at anything and everything, but he brings himself under control. He remembers that ire needs to be focused on whatever is at the center of the sargasso. He will kill it and take the sargasso as his corrupted domain. Or he could leave the others to suffer their fate. His connection to the Power and unhealing wounds would allow him to survive, but he can't allow himself to do so. If he did that, if he left, he would lose himself to the horrors in his dreams or are they nightmares?
====================================================================

"It is time to go. Keep up or get left." Bryson climbs over the side onto the spongy ground and starts walking.

Bryson keeps his shirt on.

Has anyone made a list of the story arcs that exist within the Starfinder Society scenarios? For instance, I know that these all have to do with the Scoured Stars Incident.

1-05 The First Mandate
1-11 In Pursuit of the Scoured Past
1-13 On the Trail of History
1-17 Reclaiming the Time-Lost Tear
1-29 Honorbound Emissaries
1-99 The Scoured Stars Invasion

1-31 is the latest. and the order is off, 1-99 takes places between 1-17 and 1-29. Honorable mention in this story arc to 1-23 (though it immediately follows 1-99).

The Yesteryear's story arc (Ghibrani on Elytrio) is 1-03 and 1-21

The Board Conspiracy story arc is 1-07, 1-14, and 1-33

The Salvation's End story arc is 1-00, 1-09, and 1-20

These are all on-going, and since you can derive this based on the public descriptions on paizo.com I'd consider this not spoilery information.

Thank you. I was also able to find the Starfinder Wiki, which notes connections between the scenarios as well.

I remember that PFS did a lot of Adventure Path tie in. I think it's good that they backed of, but I do like some tie in. I think its a good way to expand the story as the limitations of an AP can sometimes leave out good story lines or not explore an area as much as one might like.

She can't.

Remember, though, the squares are 10' not 5' and the plaza is difficult terrain and offers little in the way of cover. She'll have time to shoot at them without penalty as they approach. They may be able to tell that the shots are being fired from the Stargazer, but actually seeing her should be next to impossible until they're within 50 feet.

In addition the sky fisher should be attacking them at the same time. It should start at least 100' in the air and attack one of the flat-footed PCs in the surprise round. It might float down to 50' the next round but, with it's attack bonus really shouldn't. If it gets within 15' remember it can full attack with a reasonable chance to hit both times. For a real scare, let it try to escape while still holding onto a PC or two.

Then, once the group has made it through the gauntlet, Salask has allies waiting for them to enter the Stargazer. I'd start with readied actions to throw grenades before shooting then rushing the group.

Finally, the battle weary group makes it to Salask. She can take one shot as they enter B4 then retreat to B6 and shoot at them while they climb. They have to come single file and does any of them have a climb speed? No? Well then it requires both hands to climb, I'd rule that the first PC gets a penalty because they're being shot at while climbing, and Salask gets cover from the climbers and the lip of the well, I suggest soft from the second and improved cover from the rest. Note that even though the squares are 10' the stairs only look like they're only 5' wide.

This encounter does not let up.

”I’m late!” Jarix jumps out of bed and hits his head on the ceiling of the coffin he rented last night to sleep in. He spent his last credit to rent it and couldn’t afford fee for staying past checkout. He quickly dressed and grabbed what little belongings he had and left, sprinting out the door to get to Docking Bay 42 as fast as he could. Please don’t leave without me. Please don’t leave without me. he repeats over and over in his mind as he runs through the streets of Absalom Station.

Six years prior, a similar scene played out. Jarix was running to catch a flight off of Eox. He owned little more than the rags on his back, but he knew he had to get off planet. Fortunately, the Eoxian government offered anyone who wanted a one way ride to Absalom Station. It took only moments after his arrival to get robbed. As fate would have it, the next person he met was a recruiter for the military. With no money and nothing better to do, Jarix joined up. He did well in the military, at least until he lost his arm. Now he’s signed on with Abadar-Corp and, once again, he’s late for his flight.

Jarix comes skidding around the corner into the docking bay, nearly slamming into a pair of workers and almost being run over by a load lifter bot. ”I’m here! I’m here!” He calls out to the first sentient he sees that looks vaguely in authority, stopping in front of them and rummaging through his pack for his contract.

Aukan sticks close to Mayberry. If you didn't know better you'd think she was there to protect *him* from harm.

That's pretty much how I saw it going.

I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one that this board's dice roller doesn't like. I am not alone after all.
