The mummy is sitting up in the sarcophagus now. It is not flat footed.
Which doesn't seem to do too much. Sunny desperatly looks about then jumps off the lid of the box, dropping onto the flor and positioning herself such that her back is braced and she prepares to KICK the lid closed on the extended arm.
Seeing Marius in the grip of the undead enrages Bryson. He surges as his form changes and expands into his Demon-Ape form.
Bryson-Demon Ape tried to bite the mummy, but failed to penetrate its dusky husk. As did his first clawed attack. But his last clawed attack penetrated the husk dealing light damage.
By this point, Marius was reduced to feebly trying to pry loose the dead hands choking the life out of him. But his efforts were entirely ineffective.
It was really not going well.
Ghirrak hammers away mercilessly at the mummy, stomping it into the ground.
His powerful blows cracked and splintered the ancient corpse, but it still moved.
The mummy continued its crushing grip on Marius…

The extraplanar black cat springs across the sarcophagus and paws at the strangled wizard's cheek.
Marius heals up to 1hp. He is conscious. Everything hurts.
The mummy, distracted by Ghirrak’s attacks, drops Marius to the floor, then turned its implacable gaze towards Ghirrak and reached out….

It stood up and shifted around to face Ghirrak. Triggers AoO attacks from Ghirrak, Bryson and Burian if they like.

Not sure if I had been explicit, but you had previously found a red stone rod in the Black Pudding room that fit the capstan mechanism in the great gates room as well.
Returning to the Great Gates room, you play around with the red and blue rods, and they seem to fit perfectly in the ratchet pillars mechanism.
You have time to rest, heal up and recover spells if you like.
When you decide to try, pushing the rods rotates the pillars with a stone and metal clattering, and slowly the great doors unseal and grind open.
Brilliant sunlight and blue skys appear, making your dark adapted eyes water. Fresh salt air and the cry of seagulls from the world outside floods in.
You've done it! You're through the Dark Mountain Pass!
You have cleared the pathway for your fellow castaways.

Descending the last seaweed choked stairway, you find yourselves on a slick stone platform a couple feet over the sea level.
You are facing south. The cliffs behind and over you lead around to the left and north out of sight. To the right, they lead east and south to form a shallow bay.
The light colored water squares are shallow water, about 5' deep. The dark colored water squares are ten feet or more deeper.
It looks to you you could wade south then southeast to a beach (off the map) that has a way up to the cliff tops. Further south it looks impassable to foot traffic along the waterline.

Sunny rests in the lee of the entrance. Taking in the sights of this new outside. Enjoying the sunshine after so many hours (Days?) in the dark and musty underground.
As others gather beside her the tanned Elf tries to watch for ripples in the deeper weater's surface, seeing if there's any indication of larger creatures swimming about beneath the surface.

Over the next few hours, you bring the castaways up the tunnels you've cleared right up to the open doors. There they all wonder at the sun and fresh air, and you have to manually prevent them from charging right out onto the ancient docks. (Tavey and Prof. Forol)
Once someone with mechanical experience fixes the fountain, eveyone has fresh water.
Some of the experienced ones sit on the bridgeways and try fishing for the blind fish down below.
