Looking to move to the briefing Friday-ish, around October 11th.

Given that I've run this a few times, I think my only available PC is my third level operative Kaneeri. Are we cool with going low?

I believe my only freed up 3-6 right now is this fellow (a 5th level)

I'm fine going low or high. I have a 3rd level starfinder forerunner/soldier I can bring if we play down, or a 5th level technomancer if we end up playing up.

I'll be at a con starting that friday, but should be able to a post in rather late in the evening.

I think I'll be using a pregen so 4th level.

I will be bringing a 3rd level, too, (Mystic) so it's fine with me!

Hmm, I'm considering whether or not to flesh out one of my GM blobs (which would turn into a 4th level). That way I wouldn't be playing down... but OTOH Sovyal has 1-05, 1-16 and AP#1! I'll have to lock in my decision tomorrow.

I have played and gm'd it before. If I go with a pregen, then there are no connections, otherwise there is at least one connection.

Dax, I think we played together, with this character, on Protectorate Petition. And then I think maybe we were together on Acts of Association. I played the vesk gladiator Flameclaw there.

Sovyal, I played the yoski Gab with you in Reclaiming the Time-Lost Tear.

Valen, you ran me on Yesteryear's Truth last year on Gameday, with the halfling Ashtif Cloudskipper.

Incidentally - I do have a level 6 available who hasn't played this, which could push us up into the higher tier if we want. He completed Dreaming of the Future. He's a frontline soldier, so could tank for the group.

I've had the pleasure of sharing a table with most of you in the past and, based on that, I agree that this run should be a lot of fun. As this scenario is new to a number of you, I will likely stick a bit "closer to the text" than I may have otherwise, though I hope to add a few interesting layers for the repeats.

I will post the (rather lengthy) introduction shortly, but I'm fine with waiting until Monday to allow players to settle on characters/tier.

I have played this scenario once and ran it twice, so I'll be letting others make most of the decisions (which makes sense in character, too).

Since it looks like I have another day to play around, I'll be brainstorming ideas for a character to turn my 4th level blob into. I'd hate to play down and overshadow the other characters.

The whole hook-hand-thing is less of an encumberance when you have 6 arms.

"Skitter me timbers!" That's awesome!

Ah! I did think that might the case given the "child's costume" description.

And I did notice that the parrot was a toy! I think it's a very fun concept.

Dagnabbit, I just realized that this character (Domak) already has credit for this scenario. I have another character, Donovan that I can play instead.

Ally: Professional Hireling - +7 to Diplomacy/Bluff/Intimidate. The way I flavor this is that it's an AI chip that's plugged into my Exocortex, feeding me behavior suggestions when I make Diplomacy/Bluff rolls. I can't invoke the AI during combat, because my Exocortex is busy using combat tracking. Let me know if this is okay. I've played it this way several times and the GM has always been OK with it, because it's mechanically the same as having a separate hireling doing the action.

That is correct. The scenario states, "The control panel on this side of the larger barrier has been destroyed, so it cannot be disabled from this side."

I agree. I really love the disarming quality of her grandmotherly disposition - but you better think twice before getting on her wrong side!
