Shifty |
Hi all!
I'm keen for us all to try to post regularly (aim for once or more per weekday and, at least once on weekends). Whilst adventures can be caught in 'conversation loops' back and forth, I will endeavour to keep things kicking along and get the gist of where a conversation is going and keep us pointed in the right direction.
Work, study, and wild parties in Mexico have a way of getting in the way sometimes and if that is likely please leave a post in advance if you know that you may have limited time/ability to post for a period of time (and when we can expect you back).
On that note, I am posting from Sydney, Australia. Most of you will be posting when I am asleep so when I get up around 0500 odd I usually do the catch up over a coffee, and then usually in the afternoon/evening each day.
I will generally roll Initiative (and any other rolls if really required), but not to shaft anyone or railroad them, more in the interest of giving you some sort of outcome to then respond to - I aim to complete a single round of combat within 24 hours.
When in combat, unless a PC has left botting instructions or made arrangement for another player to bot them, I will place any PC that has not posted within the past 24 hours (48 hours on a weekend) on delay.
If a single skill check has been called for, I will accept the PC with the highest skill bonus as the "primary" and all other attempts by PCs for the same check as aiding another.

Thanks for the check-ins!
The scenario has dropped and I will be having a bedtime read. Work has thrown me a last-minute workload that I have to crash through (I'm deployed on the Australian response to C19), so I expect to kick off in 48 hours.
The fire and now C19? Are you secret a super hero?
Be safe and be careful.

I spent October - March on fires. We sent the last trucks and equipment out the gate late on a friday afternoon and went home for the weekend to celebrate. I was halfway through a celebratory bottle of Rum on the saturday evening when we got the call to be back in the following morning at 0 dark hundred to begin mounting for the response to Covid. You also missed the part where the Australian fires went out because we got floods - I kid you not.

The tagline for Mr. Bison and Zangief is updated, but the rest of his character sheet on Paizo.com is not. However, I put a link to his full sheet in the tagline if that's OK.

Irony is less funny when it's a disaster, Shifty.
And I always forget boons! Need to add these 2 -
Faction: Wayfinder Champion, Improved.
Personal: Nufriend Skittermander.

Would anyone be interested in using the critical hit deck for this game? I've had the cards for over a year and never used them. Of course it up to Shifty to make the final decision and I'm fine with whatever Shifty is comfortable with, but I just wanted to throw it out there.

Hi mate! Thought I responded - not sure they are SFS legal, and so would opt out as I have been on a roll of late and don't want to ace a character with some streaky luck, it was brutal in the last scenario (Illegal Shipment)

You said it!
*rubs her still aching head.*
Mr. Bison |
No prob, just wanted to put it out there. Like I said I haven't been able to convince anyone to use them in a game yet.

I have to admit the initial concept was based on Trixie Lulamoon but, apart from that, and her best friend being another lashunta named Luce Stellarum Lumen, any other similarities are coincidental.
Although it has been tempting to create a pink coloured Morlamaw who's a party planner .....

Anyone else now have an image of a dragon driving a jeep, his long snaky neck protruding out of the open top, a pair of Wayfarers on, one foot on the pedals and the other on the running board?

The only one of these things that would be really useful to me is the healing serums. Well...and the notes.
Since we got them together, it might be interesting to put the manual sight on the thunderstrike weapon for someone to use.

Thanks for this. Sorry for the delay, end of year stuff plus some job cuts I've had to navigate. Bigger fish to fry the last couple days.
Mr. Bison |
With all these axes flying around I got to wondering, "Can you actually throw a great axe?" So of course I went to youtube, enjoy:

* d-suit II (light armor; +5 eac +6 kac +5 dex max --acp 1 slot)
The D-Suit is a nice set of armor.
Azara Thenason |
I just upgraded my armor to be +7/+7 so I have no use for it.
I'd take the longstrider module but I already have fleet and speed suspension so 10' on top of 50' isn't a big deal.
Mr. Bison |
Mr. Bison will take a healing serum.
Mr. Bison |
This is a tough decision here. What does everyone think? Do we try to help the Starfinder that is still alive or do we try to save the Starfinders who were possibly captured?
Do we split the party?
The distress signal could be a ruse. Our enemies might have caught up with the lone Starfinder and set off the signal so they can ambush us.
Shifty |
I love this scenario for the dilemmas it throws at the party.
Do you shoot the drone, and keep one person happy, or do you grab it and make the other two happy? Do you solve the riddle of the shopping list and keep some people happy, or do you ask the locals and shortcut it - keeping a different person happy... and so on through every social encounter.
Now you make the choice, do you abandon the runner now signalling distress to their grizly fate (or is it an ambush?) - or do you potentially leave the fate of the two unknowns in the hands of the gods. Can you achieve the goal if you split up, or will a smaller party be unable to effectively achieve the goal and end up with nothing.
Shifty |
Looking forward I'm probably looking to kick on with 3-02 Subterranean Safari
The other adventure is only 1-4, but the demand seems to be in the 3-6 space :)
Conrad Castamir Kerbouchard |
In!
Daata |
Would definitely be interested. I have Daata plus a level 4 soldier I could feasibly play.
Mr. Bison |
I would be interested in playing in both. I could use Mr. Bison for the 1-4 and I have a level 6 soldier for the other one.
Mr. Bison |
Mr. Bison can fly down to the altar if need be, but he would have to try to physically destroy it to save the Starfinders. Zangief and him might be more helpful keeping the Dragonkin occupied while others went down to the altar.
