"Day...job"? Oh, yes, I remember! That's one of those quaint little hobbies the commonfolk do for fun, yes? I find them fascinating!

Rough that we're supposed to have guessed when the charge might be sufficient, especially in something with a really unforgiving timeline of events :-/
Day Job: Sleight of Hand (Thieves' Guild): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25

Well, some of its a bit intuitive, if you're pondering OOC a bit. There are only 5 prisms... 1 is three quarters full, 2 of them are half full, one is full, one is empty. That's 22 charges available out of the gate.
Given how they are recharged, many parties won't have a way to charge them. So have to work with them, as is. So that 22 would need to be enough for most, or at last close that a few negative levels might fill the gap.
Not to mention the prisms can be used in other ways too, which some might try (for instance on the allips).
Add some random elements from damage by the demons, skill checks, and drain for setting off the puzzle door, to make it interesting.
Besides, full charges gives for a nice light show! =)

People always need clothes mending when they're fighting demons!
Craft (clothing): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31

Hard to even conceive of completing the scenario, let alone getting the secondary objective without fully charged crystals and a lot of flying/climbing - Three cheers for Kara's wand!

According to the guide of what happens with the big demon and Ollysta and company... at one point she uses a spell, to save herself from dying, leaving her at 5 hp...
Next round, the demon full attacks her, and does 150 hp's of damage. =) That's a whole lotta negative!
Anyway, going to finish this off when I get some time to type up stuff. For now, I've reported it, and will be working on the chronicles.
You will each get 1XP, 2528 gp, and 1 PP (you needed to fulfill two requirements for the 2nd prestige, one of which is not letting Ollysta die... so you'll miss that one).
There will be yet another Commendation medal, as well as access to some demon-related spells not normally pfs legal.
You did succeed in Hard mode though... which gives you only bragging rights... unless you have the boon that lets you check a box when you do such things. (Can't remember the name of the boon, Moment of Glory? Maybe others?)
Let me know if you have faction card related questions.
Also, if anyone will be leveling up, let me know!
You're in the high tier of the next one (6-7) no matter what.

Potions? Umm...
cure moderate wounds
resist energy (fire)
shield of faith
ah great. i'll use my formula alembic to scribe Resist Energy to my formula book.

FYI - Alrik only has 2 commendations. My playthrough of Scars of the Third Crusade was on a different character with a different group.

Alrighty, finished the chronicles... will be sending them along shortly.
Got confused trying to figure out who was scribing what from whom, and purchases and stuff... not to mention whether you already marked them on the prior sheet or this one, yada yada. (though I did notice Alessio mentioning he was going to scribe mirror image off of Kara... it only occurs to me now that that is not a valid alchemist spell!)
For now, just marked the PP purchases I was aware of... and Alessio's alembic use at the end. Will let you folks fill in the rest.
Probably should have put the destroyed items (1 for Alrik, 1 for Kara), so there was a record of where they happened... but forgot!
Anyway, compiling all the various rules I'm going to need for the mass combat stuff, and getting those ready for the next bit. So don't worry too much about the map link and what's popping on there for the next while.
I'm getting myself a little intimidated with the side rules... so am ignoring them, just going to put up what I have, and we can sort out the best way to present them, together!
Still not sure how this will play out in pbp... hopefully a lot of room for fun descriptive stuff, if that's your thing! (you probably already know its mine).
Anyway, 5-24 Assault on the Wound, tier 6-7 coming up next (and last)!

That's a no from me too. Floria has played none of the second set either (though I have played 5-03 and 5-19 with other characters)
Huh... so while pulling the various mass combat bits from scenario for the slides... I noticed that the description for what qualifies is different in the appendix, than it is in the main section. One says just that character... the other says any character.
I'll go with the friendlier version, and say your 5.03 and 5.19 will count!
Edit: and it turns out the Mendevian Cemmondation boons can come into play here too. Nice.

Purchased a Cloak of Resistance. Open to suggestions on how to spend an additional 1500gp.
Here are some of the things I try to remember to buy when I have the funds:
cracked magenta prism ioun stone for a +2 competence bonus to your favourite skill : 800GP
dusty rose ioun stone for +1 to initiative : 500GP
Scroll of restoration with the 100GP material component to get rid of temporary negative levels (assuming a friendly divine caster to cast on you): 800GP
scroll of lesser restoration : 150GP or 2PP for 5 on a single scroll
potion of remove blindness : 750GP or 2PP
oil of daylight: 750GP or 2PP
talisman of beneficial winds to get featherfall if you fall : 50GP
talisman of courage in case of panicked / frightened : 450 GP
talisman of freedom in case of paralysis (though you have to remember you have it if you're grappled or entangled too) : 900GP
you can wear 3 talismans in the same neck slot too which is nice
Floria doesn't have the funds for all that, but she will buy:
scroll of restoration with 100GP material component : 800GP
talisman of courage : 450GP
scroll of fly : 375GP
potion of cure moderate wounds : 300GP
scroll of lesser restoration x2 : 300GP

Hey guys, haven't forgotten about this!
Weird times here in Seattle at the moment.
Then we had a suspected covid19 case in the building where I work... later confirmed... and it got weirder.
Will get something going tomorrow!
Or maybe later tonight, depending on how other stuff goes.
Make sure you review the mass combat rules, even if they seem a little confusing.
You will each be heading up an army here in a bit... everyone can choose from the first 6 (5 Kings, Mendevian, Pathfinder) ... and Sangkip has an additional option of the Mammoth riders, while Floria has the additional option of the Taldor Army of Exploration. (see slides 2 and 3, for the army options and their stats)
If you can decide, OOC here, which one you might want to head up, I can try to work it into the narrative as I go.
For now, will assume Sangkip on the pachyderms, and Floria heading up Taldor in her new custom-fitted uniform (though neither of you has to, if you want a base army). The rest, you can go any which way you want with the rest (duplicates are allowed between players, on the base armies)

We can absolutely delay the start here until you're situated. I know there are disruptions to people's day-to-day and it's taking a bit for people to sort out how they're staying home/accessing internet/etc.
I'd go for the Siege Masters if we are indeed ready to proceed.

![]() |

Kara will likely choose the Mendevian Cavalry, hoping to reconnect with her cousin/rival/first kiss, Captain Tannelle de Szarzy san Ramon, of the Nerosyan de Szarzy san Ramons.

![]() |

Alrik will take up with the Dwarven / 5K infantry (Pikemen).

![]() |

Taldan army sounds just right for Floria. I hope everyone's OK

![]() |

wait, your perception went down 4 points? I had it at 11 before!
That's not typical =) Well, unless its me being an idiot.. that's more than typical!
It's higher when I've got Heightened Perception and Heroism going. :)

EM±GM |

Gods, I think I afraid to start this, in case it all goes terribly wrong. =)
Anyway, I almost forgot this bit, should have done it sooner:
Everyone, except Sangkip and Floria, gets to select a Commander Boon that you give you your army (see slide 9)
Sangkip, gets the Bloodied but Unbroken one automatically.
Floria gets none (but has two bonuses from prior chronicles applied already)
The rest of you have to choose one of Defensive Tactics, Flexible Tactics, Loyalty, or Triage. This can not be changed, once chosen.
Am also pondering how to keep track of stuff, in a template or something for each turn.

![]() |

I couldn't think of a way for Kara to teach Sir Morgan any new tactics without it coming off as a little ridiculous, so I think the cavalry is just already trained in Defensive Tactics.

Brains...brains...brai...oh, hi, I didn't see you there. I was just having breakfast. I'm fiiiiiine. How is everyone else?
