Hey guys,

I just wanted to see if there would be any interest for a West End Games Star Wars RPG Play-by-post game. Most of the rules and what not can be found online at this point. I have some of the physical books but most of the information can be found on a wiki now too.

I really enjoyed the style of it and the more open-mindedness than the d20 version. I also just think it would be a fun experiment to try and use the d6 version vs a classic d20 version.

I ran a Real life campaign for about 6 months, meeting every week. So I became pretty familiar with how the system works and there are a few changes/tweaks I'd make to make it more service-able or run a bit more smoothly over PbP.

Anyways, would love to see what people think. I really enjoy the system and moved for work and so I want to continue playing in the system and figured I'd turn to my online community!

Just let me know if you'd be interested, if enough people think they would be then I'll open a recruitment in a few weeks.

When thinking of a potential character, please don't all be Jedi. My ideal time line would be during the Empire's occupation of the Galaxy. I could be convinced to for Old Republic time but right now the home brew campaign I have written out is for the Reign of the Empire.

Hey, I wasn't SUPER active before this but I just wanted to pop in and say "I'm back!".

Probably not back enough yet to start GMing tables again, but back.

Crazy how much the scene changes when you are off the internet for 4-5 months. Still reeling from trying to understand all the new things announced.

Before Giacomo has a chance to open his mouth, Myvas speaks up, "Yeah its fine, no need to go into it, I'm hungry!" her tongue rolls out of her mouth as she eyes the food Rosetta is preparing hungrily.

She slinks over and slurps up the raw skinned rabbits, ashing them slightly with her acid before they slide down.

"We should all head to bed before it gets much later, I'll let you all figure out your watches," she says as she snuggles up to sleep

Taking watch through the night in shifts, you guys find your new companion to be rather mysterious, electing to tell other people's stories rather than his own. Like most of you though, you're here to find a new life in the Stolen Lands rather than relive your past.

Thank you GM Bearington for the acknowledgement there. I'm the GM in question in Bearington's above post. GM Hmm asked me to pop by and I thought I'd explain my thought process.

I'd talked a bit with Hmm before making that post addressing the illegal character option. Its a very different beast handling potential confrontation online versus in-person. In person I can measure the player and really understand how best to handle the situation.

Online I only know their posting style and the character they are playing at the time. I decided that being civil and constructive would be the most defusing manner for handling an illegal character option.

In the end, this one was relatively easy because it was just a spell swap and I really should have caught it sooner during the audit.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Alright, some house keeping.

Mordack, I dropped the ball as your PFS GM and didn't do a thorough audit of everyones character sheet, its a known failing of mine.

However in this most recent combat you used a spell, Mudball, which is unfortunately an illegal spell in Pathfinder Society. It appears in the Goblin Player Companion and the additional resources states that only those with a Goblin Boon may use spells from that resource.

Because of that, I'll have to ask you to change your spell to any other legal first level spell. I strongly suggest magic missile, while not a ton of damage, the reliability that Magic Missile brings to an arcane spell caster's repertoire is unmatched.

The Stone Stele responds in a ponderous, Dwarven tone, taking at least 3 rounds to answer a single question.

I'll assume Kazzok will translate the Stele's responses

“I am the stele at Jormurdun. I have endured the passage of time, counting the reign of King Taargick 66 times since I was last moved. I have felt quakes and heard screams of pain. I have seen strange beasts walk within my chamber’s wall. My home is no longer a safe haven.”

Kn Nobility DC18:
Taargick was the king of Tar Taargadth for 146 years before completing the Quest for Sky, meaning the stele has remained in place for more than 9,500 years.

“Right now I am alone, but strange beasts with barbed spines, claw tipped appendages, insectile eyes, acidic drool, vestigial limbs, and leathery wings desecrate the halls of Jormurdun! They have haunted this place for as long as Fregyar the Patient trained before assuming the mantle of Torag’s priesthood.”

Kn: Planes DC 18:
The creatures described by the stele were most likely demons.

Kn: Local DC18:
Local: Although the name Fregyar the Patient is unknown, a typical dwarven priest undergoes approximately 25 years of training. That means Jormurdun’s newest inhabitants arrived around 4688 ar.

For each successful Knowledge check you guys make, you come closer to being able to pinpoint the location of the Stele. Each successful check grants a +2 cumulative bonus to an Intelligence check to piece together the clues. You can ask more questions
