Special Abilities

Athletic::
You have always had a knack for physical activity. You either grew up in a rural area and had an active childhood where you were always climbing trees, swimming in lakes and rivers, and clambering up rocky hillsides, or you competed in and excelled at contests or sports while growing up in a larger settlement. Due to this background, little can slow you down or inhibit your movements. When the Bountiful Venture Company interviewed you, they noticed your stature and physicality, and they chose you for the colonial expedition knowing that a strong back is always helpful in a growing colony. You reduce your armor check penalty by a number equal to one-third your character level (minimum 1) for purposes of Acrobatics, Climb, and Swim checks, and you gain a +1 trait bonus to one of these three skills(swim), chosen when you take this trait.

Andoran Freedom Fighter:
You gain a +1 trait bonus on attack and damage rolls against slavers or any creature holding someone against their will.

Strong Lungs (Ex)::
A deepwater rager can hold her breath for a number of rounds equal to four times her Constitution score, and she does not reduce the duration of her held breath by taking a standard action or a full-round action. Additionally, as long as she is able to speak, the deepwater rager adds her Constitution modifier to Intimidate skill checks in addition to her Charisma modifier.

Ex: Rage (Ex): :
A barbarian can call upon inner reserves of strength and ferocity, granting her additional combat prowess. Starting at 1st level, a barbarian can rage for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + her Constitution modifier. At each level after 1st, she can rage for 2 additional rounds. Temporary increases to Constitution, such as those gained from rage and spells like bear's endurance, do not increase the total number of rounds that a barbarian can rage per day. A barbarian can enter rage as a free action. The total number of rounds of rage per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours do not need to be consecutive.

While in rage, a barbarian gains a +4 morale bonus to her Strength and Constitution, as well as a +2 morale bonus on Will saves. In addition, she takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase to Constitution grants the barbarian 2 hit points per Hit Dice, but these disappear when the rage ends and are not lost first like temporary hit points. While in rage, a barbarian cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration.

A barbarian can end her rage as a free action and is fatigued after rage for a number of rounds equal to 2 times the number of rounds spent in the rage. A barbarian cannot enter a new rage while fatigued or exhausted but can otherwise enter rage multiple times during a single encounter or combat. If a barbarian falls unconscious, her rage immediately ends, placing her in peril of death.

Backstory::

1. What is your character’s name? Gillian Albrigt
2. How old is your character? 24
3. What would somebody see at first glance (i.e. height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, physique, race, and visible equipment)? Standing roughly 5’10”, his dark tanned skin interwoven with various scars interlaced through his arms and chests. Sandy blonde hair with shells woven into them and a seashell puka necklace. His long Ransuer at his side.
4. What additional attributes would be noticed upon meeting the character (i.e. Speech, mannerisms)? Has a distinct surfer, Southern California style accent, believes everyone is a dude.
5. Where was your character born? Where were you raised? By who? Gillian is an Andoran native from the small Fishing village of Claes. Claes is home to an ancient underground Azlanti fortress. When word passed through their town of an Expedition to Azlanti, Gillian figured it was time to leave the small fishing village behind and explore.
6. Who are your parents? Are they alive? What do they do for a living? Both his parents are alive and live in Claes, his father is a fisherman, his mother is a fishmonger.
7. Do you have any other family or friends? He has a few friends back home that he tried convincing to join the colonization effort but none wanted to uproot their lives and leave.
8. What is your character’s marital status? Kids? Single, no kids that he knows of
9. What is your character’s alignment? neutral good
10. What is your character’s moral code? Lives in harmony with the ocean, likes to surf, hates polluters, and isn't afraid to defend himself or others from sea creatures that are hostile. Won’t seek out a fight though
11. Does your character have goals? Seeing old Azlant, growing up in the shadow of an ancient azlanti fortress created a curiosity in him. Also would love to surf the waves on the other side of the world
12. Is your character religious? he is vaguely religious in Gozreh, as any fishing village would be, though he doesn’t go to church or really participate in overt religious practices.
13. What are your character’s personal beliefs? ”Live a carefree life on the beach, see the world, surf the biggest waves,
14. Does your character have any personality quirks (i.e. anti-social, arrogant, optimistic, paranoid)? Is just very carefree, willing to go with the flow of others. Optimistic, and good natured. Believes others should and will do right
17. Does your character have any distinguishing marks (birth-marks, scars, deformities)? he has a number of scars from sharks, coral reefs and other coastal critters that he has gotten into scuffles with over the years
18. How does your character get along with others? He gets along well, has no issues working with others as long as their beliefs are not antithetical to his own
19. Is there anything that your character hates? he hates people who would pollute the seas, or ruin the coast lines, also anyone that would try and get him to give up surfing or his beliefs about personal freedom
