New Wave of Starfinder Masterclass Miniatures

Tuesday, June 14, 2022

Archon Studio is happy to announce the long-awaited 6th wave of Starfinder Masterclass Miniatures releases and the start of the Kickstarter fulfillment process. This brings the total number of Starfinder Masterclass Miniatures from the Kickstarter to 33, with 71 left to be produced.

This new set of miniatures is available now at the Archon Studio Store, at the Paizo Store, and will soon be at your friendly local game store. All models are manufactured in HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene Sheet), as multi-part models, ready to be assembled and painted as you see fit. Let us introduce you to our recent recruits.

Archon Starfinder Minis featuring a Shirren Operative, a Vesk Solarian, an Android Xenoseeker, a Ysoki Gang Leader, a Ysoki Mystic, and a Shirren Scholar

As we mentioned at the start of the campaign, once we got to wave 6, we would begin to ship miniatures to backers. Details on shipping all 33 miniatures in Group 1 are below.

What Can I Expect in My Package?
Archon will deliver a set of 33 miniatures (as listed below) to every Kickstarter backer, regardless of what they purchased. If you purchased more than $400 worth of miniatures, you’ll receive two codes. If you purchased more than $800, you’ll receive three codes. This code distribution will be duplicated across Groups 2 and 3 until we’ve delivered all 104 Kickstarter miniatures to backers.

Each code grants 1 each of the following 33 miniatures:

It does not include the 2 special edition releases from Archon Studio from the Starfinder line, which remain available for purchase through the Archon Studio Store:

Kickstarter Fulfillment Starts Now
Archon Studio is prepared to start fulfillment operations, but Ninja Division has informed Paizo that it does not have the money to fulfill their part of the obligation of shipping Group 1 miniatures to backers. Unfortunately, this will require additional shipping to be paid by each non-EU backer that was originally scheduled to receive their miniatures directly from Ninja Division.

North America and Rest of World: You will receive an email from Paizo containing a voucher code that must be redeemed on paizo.com to pay for shipping and provide your current shipping address. Archon will be fulfilling Group 1 at a cost of $13 per code received to these regions.

European Backers: A simple survey has been created for you to easily update your current postal address. Click here to fill out the survey.

What's Next?
Archon is already preparing the 7th wave of Starfinder Masterclass miniatures, and we will coordinate shipping Group 2 to backers as soon as Wave 12 is completed.

Thanks again for backing Starfinder Masterclass Miniatures. We know this process has taken longer than planned, and we thank you for your support as we work through the remaining waves of miniatures.

If you did not participate in the original Kickstarter, limited quantities of the miniatures will be available through paizo.com and archon-studio.com.

I am a Kickstarter backer who got screwed over by Ninja Division in the first place. Now you want additional money for something I already paid for, and it's for ones I have to put together now?

How about offering the option of canceling the order and returning my money instead for a campaign that's over four years old at this point? I've *tried* doing the same on Kickstarter proper (or at least CHANGING the order to compensate for buying things that I had ordered but not gotten), but *shock* got no response whatsoever.

Yo dude, I get your anger, but you're misguiding it at the moment. Archon didn't take you're money and they're doing this out of kindness to those that go screwed over. They're in Europe and shipping overseas is expensive so check your immaturity a little alright? If you don't want to pay the shipping to curb the immense cost they are taking on to do this, then by all means, don't. Cut your losses and keep on blaming Ninja Division.

Thank you all for your patience as we troubleshoot the Archon launch. Paizo is unable to issue refunds on behalf of Ninja Division. If you have questions for Ninja Division, please contact them directly at info@ninjadivision.com
A little insensitive to the issue at hand don't ya think? Oh yeah, contact the guys you tried to 4 years ago that high tailed it out of here with you money. They guys we at Paizo endorsed and said you can trust after all the skepticism.
Hate to say it, but I think you need to follow your own advice here. I get the frustration, but anyone who backed anything on Kickstarter agreed to the T&Cs that state you're never guaranteed anything and you take on all the risk. Kickstarter is not a preorder platform (even if some companies use it that way.) Additionally, Paizo still can't do anything about Ninja Division. ND was just a licensed partner, and as with any licensed partner, they can...

Um how about no. There is a difference in blaming the people that are trying to help get these miniatures(Archon) and the people that ensured us ND was safe(Paizo.) Paizo buried their heads and ignore everyone when they came at them. Then do you know what they did? They partnered with another company(WizKids) of which they should've done in the first place, and came out with a line of miniatures.

Same issue here, sent a support email as well

Not all Kickstarters work out, I knew the risks when I went in on this and honestly I had kind of given up on it. Certainly several years late is not ideal, but it is what it is.

Also....these have to be assembled?

Yep, they are on a multipart sprue...

Similar to Games Workshop minis or the Wizkids/D&D Frameworks minis...

Thanks.

Darn! I was hoping they would remain assembled like the ones I got in Wave 1. I guess I'll just add these to the "Needs to be assembled" shelf of shame with my Kingdom Death Monster minis.

the info page for the Human Soldier lists...

"Box contains:
• 1x Human Soldier
• 32mm scaled
• High Quality Plastic
• Scenic base included
All models come unpainted and unassembled."

The level of detail should be better then the DeepCuts minis, but a little less convenient having to build them...

I'm equally amazed how poorly the whole situation was handled from A to B to C.

It strikes a nerve when I visit my local store and see a set of six Starfinder miniatures that sell for $40.

I will gladly pay the shipping fee, but only to recover my losses. I will be playing a new TTRPG that caught my eye recently.

I pledged for all in so I got 2 redemption codes. But I am confused because only the 2nd one is showing on the order page now that I paid shipping.

Do I need to pay shipping 2 times?

How much was shipping & handling?

I dont want to pay any more money to ND. Can I buy something from Archon (or Paizo) and have them ship it to me?

ND royally screwed up the original fulfillment for the project, dont see how they can fulfill this now

Hello my code is giving me trouble it is longer then what I can type into the redeem box. Anyone else having this problem?

You probably got two or three codes.

Each line is a code. Try them separately.

that worked thanks

Sovereign Court

I'm not reading every comment to see if someone posted it yet, but after redeeming BOTH codes, I scrolled down on the 'redeem codes' page, and below my history of redeemed codes was the usual [1][2][3] Paizo store boxes for entering shipping, payment, and finalizing.

It will process one code at a time, even if you entered more than one at once.

After submitting the first code, just go back to the Redeem Code page and scroll down past the list of redeemed codes.

HEY that is a good point? Who is handling the shipments to the US and the Rest of the World?

I don't want my shipping money to go to Ninja Division or have them handle squat.

Looks like ND as washed their hands of this mess completely. Per the message that was here earlier I reached out to ND about getting my money back and they told me that Archon is taking care of fulfillment and that I would need to reach out to them and then just linked the update #51 on the kickstarter.

Shipping and handling with be handled by Archon, not Ninja Division.

The Tech team is actively looking into those cases of people who have already entered those codes. Please check back on this thread for updates.

I reached out to ND about a refund not shipping and was told to reach out to Archon. I am now waiting for a response from them. At this point I would rather have my money back then pay more money for minis for a game I do not play anymore.

add me to the list who redeemed but can't complete the order/shipping process

A email should be issued when a fix is in place. I don't want to have to sift through a message board post.

The plan as sold was ninja division would/had contracted a sculptor, and would contract a minis maker, and make the minis, which would be shipped to consumers. Anything outside of that plan is NOT a risk the consumer assumes. The risks are real, but minimal if people follow the plan. The ship full of minis could sink, lightning could strike the factory etc.

This plan was not followed.

At BEST ninja division treated the kickstarter like an investment in their company and not as a kickstarter to their particular product. That is not a risk inherent in a kickstarter that is mismanagement of someone else's funds.

Paizo was warned Ninja division had done that, multiple times, and did not put in safeguards to handle the very foreseeable problem. THAT is why people are so angry. The rancor is well deserved.

Put in the code I got emailed to me, it shows in "My Partner Redemptions", but it doesn't seem like there's any "checkout" process ‍♀️

Thank you everyone for your patience. Tech has resolved the issue. If you were affected, please check your email for the resolution.

Ok my order is done and I got a receipt to my email. all looks good.

With all these reports of issues I will wait until all is fixed before « claiming ». I’m actually surprise I got an email. ND was such a disaster I expected every hard drive seize by the banks…

Let see if this tentative get it right. Hoping to be positively surprised.

I received an email stating that the issue was resolved, but no additional code has been sent? I redeemed prior to the fix and entering that code in again gives me an error. Should I wait longer, and if so, how long until I wave a flag and file an error report?

I am experiencing the issue. Redeemed code. No next step. Can someone tell me what I need to do?

I am having the same issue as before. I entered the codes I had received, no second step, no checkout.

Same as White W0rg. Redeemed the code again as instructed, got the same result I did this morning (It shows up under 'Redeemed Codes' on that page, but nothing else happens).

Surprised to see anything!
entered code, nothing in my basket.

I'm still uncertain if I'll ever see my pledge items even after the backers get fulfilled. I think I wound up as an under the table backer or something. I haven't gotten any codes, and I don't seem to exist to the campaign. I kept my receipts and the early correspondence with Ninja Division before they ghosted me (probably around the same time they pulled the "take the money and run" part of their business model) though.

This isn't a "third party product." Paizo endorsed them and gave them the licensing rights. Just as much Paizo's responsibility as Ninja Divisions.

Tried redeeming the code again, still nothing in the cart

I redeemed the code after the second email announcing the redemption process was fixed. Unfortunately, I am having the same issue experienced by others prior to the fix. I entered the code I had received, no second step, and no checkout. What's the next step? Please advise.

But it is though, or rather, all licensed products go in here, like the Alexa game as well.

The rest of your post doesn't have anything to do with the first part.

Redeemed when I got the email; didn't go through. Tried several times, nothing. Went about my day, and just got the second email saying that it's fixed and to go through the process again. Yay! Right? No. Now the code is invalid. It still appears in my redeemed codes section. I've copied it from the email, copied it from the codes page, typed it manually... Nothing.

I received two codes, but I'm pretty sure my order is messed up. I added both codes, and the page showed both codes as being redeemed at the TOP of the page. But at the BOTTOM of the page it only listed one of the redeemed codes and was only charging me $13 rather than $26. I ended up with two submitted orders, but they both appear to be from the same code.

In other words, I have no idea if this worked, if I will receive the product for both codes, or who I should talk to to address this.

So............

I have two orders, with only one code used for both, and no way to use the second code because the site tells me it's already been redeemed. Can someone from Paizo advise what I should do?

So if I have them completed and the status is showing as pending and I received the emails as such I'm good to go, right?

Okay I got it to work. I'll tell you what they haven't, on the same page as your code submission scroll down past all the other redeemed codes and you'll find the address update and shipping, you complete it there and not in the cart.

And for the record Paizo, I think the majority of us feel you should be paying the shipping.

Thanks, that worked for me, too. I tried that this morning but didn't think to try it again the second time.

It says my code is not recognized. Even though the 2nd email says it should be fixed now.

OK turns out my problem was I had 2 codes. Got it fixed now and shipping is paid for.

I do appreciate Paizo actually providing this stuff to us when they weren't really the ones that dropped the ball on the KS, but man does it sting a bit to pay $26 for shipping on something I don't even want anymore, just to prevent the KS from being a total loss. (and that doesn't count the shipping I'll have to pay for Wave 2)

It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't been spending so much on painting gear and Battletech stuff lately already.

I backed the kickstarter - where do I get the “codes” referred to in the blog?

Thanks

Everyone who entered their code but got "stuck".

After you enter your code scroll down a bit. There are 3 Buttons/steps that you have to click on. One is to add a payment method (for shipping only), and update address. Then you confirm the order.

I had to manually click each button and navigate as their was no continue or next button. It was a little finicky.
