I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but is the Psychic class allowed?

I'm actually fairly glad many of the submissions have a humorous element to them. I had originally intended for my character to be serious, but as I look over my submission, I realize that certain elements of his backstory are more comical. I can easily imagine Iomedae carefully weighing the pros and cons of giving Isin clerical/paladin powers.

Pros:
Has the religious background of a faithful cleric
Has the willingness to take up arms for righteousness of a valiant paladin

Cons:
Has the physical strength of a boiled turnip
Has the wisdom and overall strength of will of a concussed lemming

Selection in process, ill come up with list at next weekend.

Thank you for the consideration but I'm going to withdraw Ben from this game.

I've currently got quite a few games and adding another might be more than I can handle. Combined with the pace that seems likely for this game I think it's better than I leave it to the people that want it more.

Have a great time folks!

And while we wait, some music to pass the wonderful day. MUSIC HERE

Bwahahahah!

Hello all, looking for a long term AP, with consistant posting, that I can get into. Is this such a place or have I missed the call?

The big surprise will be the DM picking every goody goody so the malcontents are outnumbered. Then it's up to them to actively corrupt/undermine/skulk as much as they can get away with.

The number of goodies is indeed surprising.

I can probably alter it to more humorous rather then more blackops, it was going to have a very black lagoon (manga Anime) like humor anyway.

Yeah, I... Have a hard time making neutral characters, To me, a chaotic good character is "morally flexible" enough that they're good after all, but capable of some unorthodox behaviour. Neutral seems so... individualistic, let's say - I don't want to call it selfish - that is hard for me to draw the line.

So it's easier for me to find a way to connect with the game if the character is good at their core.

Submissions are sadly already finished, I am already making a decision.

All good, thanks anyways!

It is difficult. I had a PC in a Skull & Shackles who was Neutral but really more Neutral Evil but not in the sense of spreading evil as an end. He was just a ruthless killer who loved violence and exerting his power over others. I tend to think of the evil alignments in terms of criminals; I always saw my PC as a hitman or someone who had a morally flexible code of conduct.

Doinh some last minute questions, dont mind me at all!

And here comes the selection order!

As the "By Iomedaes grace why do I have to deal with this!"
Arrius Voralius Constantine!

As the "My plot relevance is above 9000", Mrs Sahala love!

As the "entirely accidental bard with her lovingly composed hitsingle of Stab Stab Stab Stab Stab!
Stabiddidy Stabidy Stab!
As well as further hits like "I am stabbing in the moonlight" and "Stabbing implements are a killer android girls best friend" Saphire Aurora!

As the designated Lieutenent worf replacement to get thrown at, through or way past any wall, including the 4th, Sigrat

As the resident angry barbarian, who is secretly a noodlearmed sorceror, Yartak

And as the preintened comic relief who will secretly be the most serious player character making all the hard choices, Aurical!

"By the will...and patience...of Iomedae we shall be victorious!"

Thank you, DM for picking a straight-up VILLAIN

Muhahahah

See you all in the game.

"I'm stabbing in the rain, just stabbing in the rain..."

I guess I'm safe - I'm quite unstable.

Good luck to all selected! Hope you have fun!

Game play is up eveyone

Hurray! Thank you very much.

O well, take care and good luck

Greetings!

We need one new fellow crusader with an eye for pragmatism in our effort to reduce the demon presence!

Ideally a caster with some healing and condition removal!

Our current lineup is:

Arrius. The token lawful good Paladin who mostly does Paladin things.

Adigale: Our resident Barbarian who is totally not tempted by well shaped darkness.

Sahala: While a bit too open about being a Nocticula worshipper for everyones tastes, including her boss, she is mostly doing arcane things.

Saphirre: An android killbot on an apparent quest for redemption.

The party is level 6 mythic 1! the options in the initial recruitment posts are still available!

This piques my interest. I'm curious what kind of healing fun I can pull off with Mythic shenanigans.

Caster, healing, condition removal; got it!

I will be putting together a planar oracle of life. Backstory is that he gained his curse and mystery from a Manasaputra, Solar Pitri (Agnishvatta) whose action was intended to assist with this event to fix the cosmic big picture. FYI, I just stumbled across this pathfinder lore and it is really neat. Plus, it is an interesting opportunity to have another hand in play that isn't a standard good deity thing.

HP: 5d8 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 4, 4) = 20

I'll likely retool Xotikeides again. Seems perfect for a morally flexible group.

HP: 5d8 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 7, 8) = 29

This sounds so cool! I am thinking of going a bit further than healing with a CG Evangelist cleric of Calistria, who had his entire family murdered by demons. He is going on a revenge quest against the demon invasion and whoever is responsible for it using any and all means necessary.

The class/archetype combo should cover the requirements and add inspire courage to the mix as well as some other bardic performances. I still need to read on mythic stuff to be able to think of a full fledged character.

Quick question: Do you require an alias to be created or is it enough to post character sheet/background here and create only if one is selected?

At least yours was correct, Arrius. Adi was TOTALY tempted and would have easily... oh wait that was sarcasm... nevermind, carry on.

This sounds like a fun game, but healing/status removal isn’t usually my thing. Might workshop some ideas anyway.

Background:
Dago was pretty much an average guy in Mendev. He worked as a weapon and armor smith like his father before him. He wasn't as good as his father, but he was a passable smith. The only special thing about him was that he healed wounds a little faster than the average person. Not quickly, mind you, just a little faster.

Then it happened..The demons appeared and pretty much everyone died. Dago didn't though...

Dago awoke amidst the rubble of his family's smithy without a scratch nor bruise. It was about as odd the dream he had before awakening. It was of some massive, red-skinned creature that emanated roiling waves of brilliant fire. The creature seemed to speak into his mind, You are to keep them alive. Visions of four people appeared to him and that is when he awoke.

While he wasn't injured, he felt different. Something deep inside of him was pouring life into him so fiercely, he could feel his body was barely able to contain it. And not necessarily in a good way. Somehow he knew, and not just because of the green splotches all over his body, he knew that what was welling up inside of him would eventually destroy his body. He had to find something..do something..Maybe if he found those people, he, or they, could figure it out.

Can we have a little more story about where they are for backstories? Also, good luck to everyone with this!

I think Dago will start as neutral instead of neutral good. He's not exactly selflessly motivated.

Violant wrote:

The intrepid heroes have succesfully cleared act 1. The have sabotaged a vile ritual to corrupt all the wardstones, and Arelu vorleesh was sufficiently displeased to wail of the banshee the party! However it got reflected back at Vorleesh who didnt like that at all. Kenabres is safe, for now, and the crusader queen galfrey just appeared.

The forces of good are also aware that one party member worships a demonlord (Nocticula), however, a pretty good pitch to not get this party member burned at the stakes has been offered.

Galfrey is likely to accept this pitch. One possible reason as to why you are there could be that you are one of Queen Galfrey confidants, and are to keep watch over the somewhat volatile party.

@Veniir an Alias would be prefereable.

Alright, I'll see what I can come up with in terms of backstory. The new traits certainly make the job easier.

Anyways, here's the statblock for Violant's submission. As for the odd "God" choice? If anyone is okay with moral flexibility, it's the hero-god that has Beyond Morality herself :)

Mechanics-wise she focuses on healing, condition removal, and alignment channel to harm some demons. I have some ideas on how she could have gotten to Mendev to join the crusades already, i just need to decide which.

Noticed two of the current characters had the 10 minute character creation, so I stuffed this version of Xoti's backstory down here... I might still add more, though. Good luck to all!

When can we expect Recruitment to end?

I intend to keep it shortish and make a decision by this sunday.

Character sheet updated a little. I knew I was missing an important Channeling feat. Got a bit too over-excited with the d12 crossbow and had Precise Shot instead of Selective Channeling. Oops.

Grand Lodge

HP: 5d8 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 1, 2) = 12

All right, this is Veniir's submission. Here is some spoiler'd information about the character.

Healing/condition removal:

As a cleric, this character is as good as it gets. His archetype, however, removes Cure spells as spontaneous substitutes. Instead he has a collection of (cool) enchantment spells.

Interestingly enough, the Hierophant Mythic path allows one to cast a spell without expending a spell slot for extra healing, so I only needed to prepare one cure at each level and I'll still roll better than average healing with it.

Channel energy progression suffers 3 losses due to archetype. But channel healing is underwhelming anyway... And this isn't an undead focused AP, so...

Further combat role:

Aside from cleric spells, Cerpidy uses his deity's (Calistria) favorite weapon, a whip. This will be useful to disarm and trip enemies, especially since I invested 2 feats to use Wisdom on attack (and thus CMB) instead of Str. The whip's reach will allow me to do so at a distance without having to provoke AoO's.

Additionally, he has a great intimidate skill for demoralize. He can later spec into Dazzling Display for some group effect. If the melee in the group want to invest in Shatter Defenses, I'm sure this will come in handy.

Finally, Cerpidy brings the inspire courage bardic performance, which I'm sure the resident Paladin/Barbarian/Androidschwarzeneger will enjoy. This bardic performance does not include Dirge of Doom, but this can be compensated with Dazzling Display.

His only weakness is AC.

Out of combat role:

He has great intimidate and diplomacy. A very good Heal skill as well, but I keep having second thoughts about it, but it may come in handy. And of course the huge perception too.

Also, his domain gives the group a short disguise. He also has some invisibility for some sneaky stuff, although I noticed the current line-up doesn't have a sneaky type.

For GM's eyes only:

As a Calistrian evangelist, he will be trying to evangelize people to Calistria. This can lead to some funny situations with demons (they're kinda half way there), but has potentially interesting interactions with your Nocticula simp worshiper.

Actually, I do have a question: would it be okay to make Xoti a tiefling in terms of story/fluff, but switch to a pure half-elf mechanically? Doing a Cleric with a WIS penalty is kind of painful.

Is that factoring in the Mythic +10? Mythic characters don't stay disadvantaged for long, and with +2 to something every even Tier, AND they can add to that with Path Abilities. Just wondering.

Only Mythic Tier 1, so no bonuses yet, sadly. If you mean the +10 from her Path Ability, then that's only on d20 rolls, and is only going to be used for ensuring a hit if necessary.

The Ancestral Arms version is complete -- put in a spoiler at the bottom of her sheet -- and I'll likely go with that version should a non-tiefling Tiefling be allowed to happen. I tried making a version with one of the two other Iblydan weapons, but the MADness of Xoti's build makes that a little too rough, and I'm already playing a Rogue with the strength of a boiled turnip.

No, I only meant eventually, not currently. I actually hadn't asked when Tier 2 will happen, but it feels like this is not long after they became Mythic.
